Conflict in the Middle East

50 Jewish children kicked off plane, female supervisor allegedly beaten to the ground and handcuffed!

Another shocking act of global antisemitism.

50 French Jewish kids aged 10-15 apparently attended a summer camp in Spain.

On the flight back to France, before takeoff while plane still on tarmac, they were accused of being rowdy and singing ‘Death to Arabs’ in Hebrew (no evidence they were saying that). Police were called, they were told to get off and their 21 year old female supervisor ended up being beaten to the ground and forcibly handcuffed.

According to witnesses on the plane, the children stopped singing when asked and were well behaved, and nothing was amiss. The crew made a tannoy announcement that there were security concerns and police entered the plane and told the kids to get off. The female supervisor was ordered to make the kids hand over their phones so footage of them being removed from the plane could be deleted and she was beaten to the ground and handcuffed when she refused. The Captain allegedly said Israel was a terrorist state.

She later had to sign an NDA to be released.

The Captain has been identified as being a flying instructor for two of the 9/11 plane hijackers.

WTAF!

That’s the issue, there is not yet a single, verified narrative of exactly what happened. So why rush to the internet to claim anti-Semitism without waiting to find out? When OP posted, very little was known at all, was speculation. Why was it ok to start this thread based on speculation?

It obviously wasn’t.

Your point would be more valid if you responded with the same level of vitriol to all of the posters saying the kids got what they deserved.

OP posting about possible anti-semitism without verified info = BAD
PPs posting that the kids were chanting ‘Death to Arabs’/being rowdy etc without verified info = FINE

Surely both groups of posters should be treated with as much outrage for posting about a story with unverified information?

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/07/2025 14:13

Lolapusht · 26/07/2025 14:09

It’s not an insinuation, though.

It’s a fact.

He did train two of the 9/11 attackers.

It’s not really relevent, just an interesting piece of coincidental information about of the participants.

Yes but the insinuation behind the fact is very clear indeed.

That’s a fair point.

I think some people on this post are very good at insinuating things 🧐

Bollocks. There was motive in the statement. Trying to paint a picture of an Arab/terrorist sympathiser.

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/07/2025 14:15

And to be fair, @Lolapusht, I think I’ve had considerably more, completely unjustified vitriol and offensive allegations made by a particular poster than I’ve levelled at anyone else.

OP what was the purpose of you saying that the pilot trained 2 of the 9/11 hijackers? What was the relevance?

TBF to the OP that seems to have been something that some in the MSM have focused some attention on...

With regard to that I'll maintain it's unusual for a captain to be named in these sort of circumstances..most mortals involved in this sort of stuff tend to keep their heads down, get on with the day job and let company PR people handle the fall out.

OTOH I guess sales of his book might get a bump (if it's still available).

worrisomeasset · 26/07/2025 14:23

At this stage, we don't know if the airline was justified in removing the group or if anti-Semitism played a part. I'm choosing not to have an opinion on this until time hopefully brings more clarity. The discussion here is becoming increasingly ill-tempered and I think there's a case for MN to close it down. There is nothing useful that anyone can add at this moment in time.

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/07/2025 13:40

What absolute nonsense. Demonstrably untrue.

Do you seriously believe that OP begin this thread in good faith?

I began it because it’s a shocking story and if it is what it seems to be, it is a shocking act of antisemitism.

Why shouldn’t I start a thread about it? It is in direct relation to the conflict because it wouldn’t have happened without it being used an excuse for it.

See the 1st response to my OP.

What is happening now is on another scale to how the Jewish people were scapegoated in 1930s Germany IMO, under the thinly veiled lie that people are just being anti-Israeli government,

I’m not Jewish btw.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying that all conspiracy theories should be approached equally. They can be discussed on their merits, sure. Some are more sick than others. Americans flying planes into buildings and Israelis slaughtering their own people? Just reminding folk when they show their disgust at conspiracy theories per se.

I think even trying to claim that children dying of starvation is conspiracy theory, like OP and in fact several others I know IRL, falls into the category of sick and disgust.

Ok, so on that basis there is motive in those saying the kids were singing “Death to Arabs” in Hebrew and that those posters are trying to paint a picture of the kids being racist Arab haters? )Ignoring the fact that one example is true and the other is alleged and looking more likely to be false).

Personally, I think the pilot taught the 9/11 terrorists is neither here nor there in this incident, just an unfortunate coincidence.

Yes but it was pretty obvious what OP was trying to suggest - that the pilot is somehow a terrorist supporter and didn’t want to fly Jewish children on his plane. The guy didn’t know who they were yet it’s now being used against him.

What's happening to children in Gaza is irrelevant in relation to this story.

Whaaaaat? We cannot have a single thread on Gaza without events in other countries being brought up as whataboutery. It's always the same posters doing it and they are completely shameless in doing so.

Exactly. If it’s what it seems to be. Why not wait until you’re certain before starting a thread accusing people of anti-Semitism?

It is a fact.

Which may or may not have a bearing on the incident.

As well as the picture of the Palestinian flag purportedly in the cockpit of the plane which is as yet unconfirmed to be the plane in the incident.

Still extremely odd that any non-Palestinian (and there is no Palestinian airline) plane would have a flag in its cockpit IMO.

Are we going to take down all the other threads, which include allegations against Israel, Hamas and various otjer parties until they've been determined by appropriate authorities, then?

Or is it only allegations of antisemitism that cant be discussed until proven?

That's where I agree and disagree. People are saying Hamas are using children as collateral damage, when it's Israel, who is accused of the exact same. I don't believe all I see and read on the humanitarian crisis. I'm not calling what I see as a conspiracy theory. Thats just my description of my view. Hamas have outed themselves as having zero credibility. You will of course say you feel the same about Israel. I never have and never will trust the word of proscribed terrorists. Evil, devious and manipulative don't accord with my search for the truth.

Ah, edited highlights, ok.

What has the children being Jewish got to do with them being “kicked off” the plane if they were behaving in an unsafe manner, in contravention of the airlines requirements?

OP’s leap to anti-Semitism without evidence was just wrong, plain and simple. As was starting a thread based on speculation on X of all bloody places. Don’t you agree.

Their statement that the pilot trained the 9/11 terrorists was clearly inflammatory.

I agree with a pp, this thread should be taken down.

Will you apologise for your false accusation that I am anti-Semitic before it is ?

Do you really not see that Netanyahu is equally evil, devious and manipulative as Hamas leaders?

... that the pilot is somehow a terrorist supporter and didn’t want to fly Jewish children on his plane. The guy didn’t know who they were yet it’s now being used against him.

The story seems to be that way back the captain followed a well worn path of doing his basic flying training in the US.

Post that he built hours towards his commercial licences by instructing in Florida(?), during which time he ended up, pretty much by chance and just like a few other people, interacting with a couple of the future partcipants in 9/11.

That's pretty much it.....

The fact that THEY ARE ALLEGING THEY WERE KICKED OFF FOR BEING JEWISH.

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/07/2025 14:52

The airline is alleging otherwise. Best to wait until facts are established, surely?
