The Israeli army are using aid centres as target practice.

The Israeli government is proposing building a 'refugee' centre in Rafah with an extra special feature - no one is allowed to leave.

Killing of young siblings at Gaza water point shows seeking life’s essentials now a deadly peril

I agree with you @ilovepuppies2019 . The unwavering support enjoyed by Israel especially in America is waning. Even Mamdani was able to condemn AIPAC without massive backlash.

48% in a poll released yesterday said the USA is supporting Israel too much.

The UN report should have been the final straw but like Ms Rachel said in her video "what made you speak out about other human to rights but not the children of Gaza?"

Ellen2shoes · 25/06/2026 22:28

The final straw has been laid so many times.

It’s hard to imagine what could follow if this is not it.

From the Guardian:

“Israeli forces on Sunday arrested a prominent 71-year-old Palestinian physician known as the “doctor of the poor” in a pre-dawn raid on his home in the occupied West Bank, prompting widespread condemnation.
Dr Mazen Al-Rantisi, a physician widely known for providing care to low-income Palestinians, was arrested in the al-Tira neighbourhood of Ramallah.

He was later taken to the police station in the Israeli settlement of Ma’ale Adumim, where he is believed to be under interrogation by the Special Investigations Unit. Israeli authorities have not said why he was detained or where he is currently being held.”

.According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the arrest is believed to be connected to Al-Rantisi’s position as chair of the Union of Health Work Committees, a Palestinian non-profit founded in 1985 that operates clinics serving thousands of patients each year, particularly in rural communities with limited access to healthcare.

The organisation was declared an “unlawful association” by the Israeli military in 2020 under emergency regulations dating back to the British Mandate for Palestine. Two years later, Israeli forces shut its headquarters in Al-Bireh. Despite those measures, the group remains legally registered with the Palestinian Authority’s interior ministry.

News of Al-Rantisi’s detention spread rapidly across the occupied West Bank, with an outpouring of support on social media. Former patients, activists and local leaders described him as a figure whose work reached far beyond the consulting room.

Many recalled that he frequently waived consultation fees, supplied medicines to families unable to afford them and distributed donated prescriptions to vulnerable patients. For years, they said, his clinic served not only as a medical practice but also as a place of refuge for some of the poorest members of Palestinian society.

And this from Google on The Union of Health Work Committees that Israel saw fit to call
Unlawful???!!!

‘The Health Work Committees (HWC), founded in 1985, is a prominent Palestinian non-profit organisation providing healthcare and community services in the West Bank and Gaza. Operating under the unlawful military occupation, HWC delivers primary and emergency care to impoverished and marginalized populations.

Key Organisations and Structure
Health Work Committees (HWC): Operates 7 clinics and 5 women’s centres across the West Bank, offering healthcare, psychosocial support, and legal advocacy for women and girls.

Al Awda Health and Community Association (AWDA): Formerly known as the Union of Health Work Committees (UHWC) in Gaza. It operates hospitals and community health centres , standing as the third-largest healthcare provider in the Gaza Strip.

Recent Developments
In June 2026, Israeli forces raided and arrested Dr. Mazen Al-Rantisi, the chair of the HWC, as part of a series of targeted arrests affecting the organisations senior staff.’

If you try to Save the wrong lives you will be arrested it seems

Just for the record, here is the UN report mentioned in the above post, which includes the independent commission of inquiry’s findings. The commission investigated Israeli authorities for deliberately targeting Palestinian children and concluded that this constitutes genocide.

One to watch out for
Corbyn calls for Independent Inquiry

"This issue is not going away, and we will not rest until there is justice for the people of Palestine," Jeremy Corbyn told The New Arab.

Shortly after the prime minister announced his resignation Corbyn reintroduced legislation calling for an independent inquiry pertaining to the UK's complicity in the Gaza genocide. An inquiry similar to the UK's role in the Iraq war.

The former Labour leader had initially introduced this last year but the government blocked the proposal during its second reading.

Ellen2shoes · Yesterday 11:31

Corbyn has been tirelessly trying to galvanise the government into action for a long time.

Sadly, he’s a rare one.

Whatever happened to all the Journalist detained without charge

Before-and-after photos of Palestinian journalist Mujahid Bani Mufleh following his release from Israeli detention.
The 36-year-old father of three was held for eight months without charge or trial under Israel's administrative detention system. Just days after his release, he suffered a severe brain haemorrhage, which his family says was caused by prison conditions and medical neglect.
Sharing the images, Bani Mufleh described the humiliation and suffering he endured in detention. He wrote: "I learned humiliation when every part of your day is controlled by someone else... When even your privacy and dignity are no longer yours."

This is the reality of what Israel is doing (part 7)

.France has announced it will join the genocide case against Israel at the International Criminal Court, marking a major diplomatic development amid growing international scrutiny over the Gaza conflict. The move is expected to increase political pressure and deepen global debate surrounding the ongoing war and humanitarian situation in the region.

That is absolutely horrific.
That poor man.
Held for 8 months without trial then released.
A hostage.

Yes
suffered a brain haemorrhage shortly after release

Another I read a piece about was tortured
by electrocution of the eyes. He’s blind now
Israel has been sniper shooting journalists in the eyes well before 2023.

the one below is a videographer. Not rocket science to release why the snipers go for the eyes

Then there’s the never ending list of children

Aid Sites (Gaza, 2025): 15-year-old Abdul Rahman Abu Jazar was shot in the head by Israeli forces near an aid distribution site in Gaza, resulting in the permanent loss of sight in his left eye.
Civilian Contexts (East Jerusalem): 9-year-old Malek Issa was permanently blinded after being shot in the face between the eyes by Israeli police with a sponge-tipped bullet in 2020 while standing outside a shop in Issawiya.
West Bank Raids: 14-year-old Izz el-Din Nedal al-Batsh lost his right eye in 2021 after being struck by an Israeli-fired rubber bullet while standing inside a commercial store in Hebron

Chris Sidoti is very well spoken. He really conveys the gravity of the situation.

He says and am paraphrasing that the hardest decision that they had to make was not to publish names of the children killed as it would implicate their families.

Even here, I had often thought this when wanting to reference Palestinian journalists - I had to double think, even though I knew they were putting themselves out there on social media with huge followings.

At which point do you put a target on someone’s family?

It is horrible.

Was looking at this last night. The reason they decided not to name the children is so depressing. Imagine your child has been murdered but they can be named, recognised, humanised in death because of concern over the IDF causing further harm to your family.
