The Israeli army are using aid centres as target practice.

The Israeli government is proposing building a 'refugee' centre in Rafah with an extra special feature - no one is allowed to leave.

It would be ironic if it wasn't such a bloody shitshow. The man who makes threats to kill a population and then actually carries them through.

Doubt this will happen but we can live in hope.

Yes, I saw that about asking for his arrest. Ain’t going to happen though.

Martymcfly24 · 01/07/2026 15:50

Not a hope.
Morally and legally it should .
But you are right.

Ellen2shoes · 01/07/2026 22:28

What else is there without a legal framework that is upheld?

I have seen that over the last few weeks while there have been countless reports on SM and a few mainstreams outside the UK of the continued bombings in Gaza of displaced people, children, murders in WB and EJ, teenagers too and widespread destruction of South Lebanon, the feeds from any forms of Westerm media have become exceptionally quiet and google feeds less forthcoming.

Alongside this, we have a disgraceful attempt to criminalise Menon for reminding a jury that they have a conscience and a further attempt to potentially criminalise journalists.

Yes, wtf.

RAMALLAH, 30 June 2026 – Israeli forces have reportedly killed seven Palestinian children in Gaza and the West Bank in the week since a UN Commission of Inquiry concluded that Israeli authorities and security forces have been deliberately targeting Palestinian children.
Six Palestinian children were killed by Israeli forces' airstrikes and shelling in Gaza, including a one-year-old girl killed by an Israeli airstrike on a displacement camp south of Gaza on Monday. In addition, a 15-year-old boy in the West Bank was shot in the head and chest by Israeli forces during a raid in the city of Al-Bireh.
The UN Commission of Inquiry report, published on 23 June, concluded that Israeli authorities and security forces have deliberately targeted Palestinian children, resulting in genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in the Gaza Strip and war crimes in the West Bank.

Ellen2shoes · 01/07/2026 22:36

According to Yvette:

The situation in Gaza is desperate. Today the UK is announcing £23m for @UNRWA to deliver vital support including food, water, education and medical support for Palestinian refugees.

There must be more aid, all crossings opened, and humanitarian agencies able to operate safely.

How about attempting to make it less desperate at source by an arms embargo and sanctions?

Israel have the right to defend itself. But Hamas, but October 7th…
It’s definitely not a land grab, and yet this delightful piece of news from The Times of Israel:

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Monday that Israel has prepared plans to establish three settlements in the Gaza Strip, and all that is needed to move ahead with the project is Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s approval.
The Defense Ministry Settlement Administration, which Smotrich administers, “has completed the groundwork to establish three settlements in the north Gaza area,” he said in a statement.
Smotrich called on Netanyahu to “give the approval” in order to “complete the mission and restore true security for the residents of the south.”

2 July 2026

Board of Peace has said that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unrwa) "has no place in new Gaza".

Israeli media revealed that the Board of Peace is set to launch “Hamas-free humanitarian zones” in Gaza, where Palestinians will be herded

It added that the zone will be policed by a “multinational force”, known as the International Stabilisation Force (ISF), which will be equipped with “non-lethal weapons” and operate from the Israeli Amitai Camp

Boolabus · 02/07/2026 14:47

It's dystopian in its plans, I do not understand how they are able to get away with it. I saw this article earlier in the week

The UN-sanctioned Board of Peace announced by Donald Trump earlier this year to rule Gaza is planning a sweeping grant of legal immunity for itself, according to a draft of the resolution obtained by the Guardian. The draft language would also let the organization obtain public property in Gaza “free of charge”.

UN sanctioned! One think I have no doubt about is that none of this will achieve peace and security in the region so it begs the question, what is it all really about?

Looks like their plans are coming along nicely then, quietly working away on plans that outraged people when they were announced a year ago, now it seems like Israel are left to do as they please. Article from July last year

How marvellous:

“Israel and the United States signed an agreement on Wednesday to build a permanent U.S. Embassy compound in Jerusalem, advancing plans for a new diplomatic complex on a site where Palestinian families say the land was unlawfully expropriated from them decades ago.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee formally signed the agreement to advance the U.S. plan, drafted in coordination with Israel, for a large diplomatic complex in southern Jerusalem, in an area known as the Allenby Complex.
However, a group of Palestinian families has been pleading with the U.S. government for years to reconsider the location, claiming that the land on which the embassy is planned belongs to them, and have submitted documents supporting their claim.”

“The Allenby compound does not belong to Israel, which has no right to offer the site to the United States for the location of its embassy in Jerusalem," noted Palestinian-American historian Rashid Khalidi told Haaretz. The Khalidi family was among those whose land was expropriated for the Allenby Complex.
He described the "collaboration of the United States government with Israel in the theft of Palestinian private and waqf property is yet another American infringement on Palestinian rights, in keeping with a long and disgraceful record of such hostile behavior towards the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights, national, religious and private." Waqf property refers to land with a dedicated religious purpose under Islamic law.

This too on that subject

Surviving Palestinians will be herded into fenced “humanitarian shelters” policed by foreign forces under a plan led by US president Donald Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ in the coming weeks, according to an Israeli newspaper.

This will allow the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) to occupy more of Gaza, “deepen[ing] its grip on areas beyond the yellow line”, Israel Hayom reported on Tuesday.

The plan has been widely condemned on social media, with historian Assal Rad posting on X: “They’re building concentration camps.”

Under the pilot programme, unarmed civilians would be channelled to a first zone in Tel al-Sultan, near Rafah, an area that has been systematically razed by the Israeli military.

Palestinians in the camps will be under the control of “multinational forces” – known as the International Stabilisation Force (ISF) – from the Board of Peace as a condition of receiving food and aid.

Board of Peace officials have pledged that no concrete will be brought in for the reconstruction of Gaza in those areas, according to Israel Hayom.

One base for the foreign forces has already been built, and the Board of Peace has “begun identifying sites” for the establishment of large logistics warehouses for regulating the camps.

Israel Hayom described the plan as a “pincer movement”, with the IDF “biting off” more areas under Hamas control and the Board of Peace “biting off” the civilian population from Hamas.

The plan matches leaked documents for a “a surveilled, checkpoint-controlled ‘planned community’” that’s designed to force Palestinians “into what amounts to an Israeli panopticon”,

Israeli military operations have continued in Gaza despite a ‘ceasefire’ coming into force in October 2025. Israel has violated the ceasefire thousands of times, killing more than 1,000 Palestinians including children.

We can’t just lay the blame on Israel’s door anymore as countries refuse to stand up to the Israeli Government they are complicit not just in genocide but now
Land theft
and the creation of concentration camps

Just when I thought it can’t Possibly get any worse

Wrong on so many levels, but can we criticise based on logic, openly and honestly? Not anymore. It's frightening.

Why even call it a ceasefire. They are laughing at the rest of the world along with their supporters.

Lebanon are so vulnerable in all of this.

I'm just reading the links posted above thinking how will this all end. What will it look like in 10/20/30 years time in the region.

That is so true.

But hey those Gaza beachfront condos will all be worth it.

I see Ben Gvir has chickened out of going to the US due to protests surrounding his visit. So absolutely no chance of him being arrested.

I also see that Netanyahu has remained silent on these new settlement places in Gaza. It looks like its happening but the world is too concerned about the SOH and petrol prices. And so they get away with it.

Gaza Hospital Director Jailed in Israel in Life-threatening Danger, Lawyer Says
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya's lawyer said he struggled to breathe and speak and seemed close to losing consciousness several times, during a Thursday visit, and said the doctor told him he fears he would be killed in Israeli custody

Attorney Nasser Odeh visited Abu Safiya, who led the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, on Thursday and found him shackled, escorted by masked prison guards and bearing fresh bruises to his head, face, ears and neck, according to a statement issued by Physicians for Human Rights.

According to the lawyer's affidavit, Abu Safiya struggled to breathe and speak, appeared extremely weak and seemed close to losing consciousness several times during the visit. Odeh said he believed his client was in immediate danger.

According to the affidavit, Abu Safiya said prison guards beat him with a hammer and batons after a June 10 hearing before Israel's Supreme Court on his appeal against the extension of his detention.

if anything more happens to him Israel will just lie about it as they always do.
Let’s hope given the recent report on his condition he’ll be let free

news on the West Bank

IDF Demolishes Palestinian Homes in West Bank, Defying High Court
Israeli forces and three masked, plain-clothed individuals demolished Palestinian homes in the West Bank's northern Jordan Valley, despite a High Court ruling earlier this week that demolitions there must be frozen until further notice

Israel has ignored the International criminal court and so now as Israel is unwilling to comply it’s within the ICCs mandate to step in
Will they ?

@Ellen2shoes was reading about his worrying condition yesterday. He's being tortured, held in solitary confinement and has not been charged with any crime. He's being held under the unlawful combatants law and tumble weed about this from the international community. It is getting more and more difficult to accept without getting more and more angry at the continuing violations of international law and oppression, torture and murder of innocent civilians with absolutely no consequences.
