The Israeli army are using aid centres as target practice.

The Israeli government is proposing building a 'refugee' centre in Rafah with an extra special feature - no one is allowed to leave.

Hotel California?

Killing of young siblings at Gaza water point shows seeking life’s essentials now a deadly peril

Karam al-Ghussain, 9, and Lulu, 10, were fetching water from a nearby distribution station when an Israeli strike hit it, and them

Thank you for that. Depressing to see that Hamas terrorists look like they are being replaced by ..... Terrorists. Ordinary Palestinians have no one in their corner no one they can trust and are just enduring relentless fear, terror and displacement. It feels very hopeless at the moment

Palestinians will have their feet in the water before anything truly constructive is done.

Palestinians will have their feet in the water before anything truly constructive is done.

And it will take that before some will admit to what is happening and even then there'll be a reason to justify it

.Another devastating loss for Gaza's medical community. 💔

Today, Dr. Jamal Abu Aoun, a dedicated healthcare professional, was tragically killed in an Israeli drone strike in Deir al-Balah, Gaza.

As the Head of the Anesthetics Department at Yaffa Hospital, Dr. Abu Aoun spent his life saving others and alleviating pain in the most unimaginable and difficult conditions.

Medical workers are a lifeline in conflict zones, dedicating themselves to humanity. The continued loss of healthcare professionals is a profound tragedy that ripples through the entire community.

Thank you for that @Stirabout .

Another needlessly wasted life during a ceasefire . Healthcare professionals are having slaughtered at a time they are needed the most.
A little girl was seriously injured in the attack also.

And meanwhile in Lebanon:

I will continue to demand and promote a permanent territorial conception and exceptional military aggressiveness,” Smotrich said.

Israel is carrying on regardless of Iran insisting Lebanon is part of the ceasefire agreement.
Just as they are going in Gaza

One wonders why bother with ceasefires when Israel don’t know what one is.

Maybe just for Donald? So he can be the most biggest, best peaceful POTUS the world has ever had?

"In a televised address, Mr Salam accused Israel of "pursuing a scorched-earth policy and collective punishment" by "destroying towns and villages and forcing their inhabitants into exile"

Lebanese President last night. And he's the one that Israel are actually negotiating with.

Yes saw that pretty damning. Finally let's call a spade a spade

Stirabout · 31/05/2026 21:36

Good grief Israel just can’t stop
If they can’t bomb one country they just move onto the next

I do wonder what would happen if they are forced into an actual ceasefire
Netanyahu would get bored if he’s not killing civilians and stealing land somewhere

This from Sky news today

‘ Israel has issued an evacuation warning for areas south of the Zahrani River, in a move that will expand the buffer zone it has sought to clear in southern Lebanon.

Israel captures 'strategically crucial' castle in Lebanon

Israeli forces have captured a strategically important fortress from the Crusades, marking the country's deepest incursion into Lebanon in more than a quarter of a century.
The capture of Beaufort castle, near the city of Nabatiyeh, follows days of airstrikes and intense fighting in nearby villages as Israeli troops battled Hezbollah fighters.

Israel Defence Forces (IDF) soldiers raised the Israeli flag on top of the fortress following its capture, with Israeli defence minister Israel Katz declaring that the country would hold the strategic point.

The seizure came as the IDF issued an evacuation warning for residents south of the Zahrani River, in a move that expands the territory it has sought to clear in southern Lebanon.’

Ellen2shoes · 01/06/2026 08:58

I know it’s irrational to have any expectations of Israel to hold the slightest regard for thousands of years of cultural history and architecture when it totally devalues human lives, but it’s still shocking to see that Israel is now even wilfully destroying the UNESCO site Tyre. There is no military benefit to be gained from the sites targeted.

UNESCO means it should be protected - so where is the protection?

I’m reminded more and more of the cultural depravity of the Taliban.

Martymcfly24 · 01/06/2026 10:08

Macron has called an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following the capture of the castle.

Doubt it will do much good.

On another note did anyone see Smotrich heading up the NY Israel day parade. A man with his views on human rights and LGTBQ is not a good look for anyone walking behind him.

Yes and now Mandami being labelled antisemitic for not marching. How could he have marched with Smotrich? The man has a warrant out for his arrest from the ICC. He is vocal in his forced displacement orders for Palestinians and his support for moving Israeli settlers into occupied territory, and his claim it may be “justified and moral” to starve Palestinians in Gaza. The UK imposed sanctions on him for repeatedly inciting violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Yeah but it's antisemitic to boycott marching with him 🙄

JadeHare · 01/06/2026 11:16

Kuwait have strongly condemned the attacks in Lebanon, even when Iran was lobbing missiles at them. Won’t change anything though.

Yes and Mamdani has hosted Jewish celebrations at Gracie Manor and met Jewish leaders so he is clearly separating Jewish people from Israel, something that is consistently touted for.

And yet he still had protesters outside shouting that much berated chant of "from the river to the sea New York will be free". Seems it's not illegal to say it when it suits the agenda.

Smotrich is also completely homophobic, something that Mamdani is an advocate against.

It also demonstrates the support the Israeli diaspora have for these far right, racist, homophobic, genocidal politicians

Or the future Israeli residents who attend the sales of stolen Palestinian land in synagogues in New York.

Look at all the US politicians who walked behind Smotrich and also Amichay Eliyau a Minister who said that dropping a nuclear bomb on Gaza was an option.

That AIPAC money must be huge.

JadeHare · 03/06/2026 14:06

From Al Jazeera. Yet again…..

At least two paramedics have been killed in the latest Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reports.
The Ministry of Public Health said in a statement carried by NNA that the pair were killed when an “Israeli enemy strike directly targeted an ambulance” that belonged to the Al-Risala Association in Shouhour, in the Tyre district.

Israeli authorities arrested two members of the Palestinian women's national football team, Rand Al Halawani, 20, and Natalie Abu Dayyeh, 21.

The Palestine Football Association (PFA): “Their arrest is not an isolated incident, it is part of a well-documented pattern of systematic targeting of Palestinian athletes, which continues without accountability,”

'Acts of revenge': Israel arrests Palestinian women footballers and students

Families say the arrests came without explanation amid a sharp rise in the detention of Palestinian women and girls

It’s not a land grab? Honest to god how can people not see it?

A member of Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, has publicly backed efforts to establish Israeli settlements in southern Syria, as settlement activists step up incursions into territory.

Ellen2shoes · 05/06/2026 19:45

How is that land then being sold off?

I welcome the sanctions against individual settler terrorists - it’s a start - but there must be a market for the land? If sales are being facilitated in the EU and elsewhere, sanctioning the front line terrorists is a performative measure.
