The Israeli army are using aid centres as target practice.

The Israeli government is proposing building a 'refugee' centre in Rafah with an extra special feature - no one is allowed to leave.

Killing of young siblings at Gaza water point shows seeking life’s essentials now a deadly peril

Karam al-Ghussain, 9, and Lulu, 10, were fetching water from a nearby distribution station when an Israeli strike hit it, and them

That is horrific. This stood out from the article:

CBC News reached out to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) for comment. In a response on Whatsapp, the IDF said it was working to "dismantle Hamas's military capabilities" but that it could not provide details about Ritaj Rihan's death.

"In stark contrast to Hamas' intentional attacks on Israeli men, women and children, the IDF follows international law and takes feasible precautions to mitigate civilian harm," the response read.

They are either trying to gaslight us or they are completely deluded. I'd go with the former. Evil

Liars and gaslighters par excellence.

Poor baby 😞

Wrapped in bloodied bandages, Aline Saeed, seven, barely survived the Israeli strike on her home in south Lebanon last week. She was there to bury her father as hopes of a truce spread across the region, but a new strike killed her infant sister and other relatives

A really disturbing report from the human rights organisation Euro med monitor about the scale of horrific sexual torture and rape being carried out by Israelis against Palestinians in detention. It's beyond horrific I really don't have the right words to describe what they are doing to people. Just to warn that the report contains some graphic details of sexual violence.

IDF attack school children with tear gas for holding a peaceful sit in after settlers blocked their access to school.

Loathsome, and with disingenuous excuses as usual.

The report highlights that the Israeli torture system deliberately widens the circle of harm through a strategy of “psychological warfare” that exploits the high value placed on “dignity” and “privacy” in Palestinian collective consciousness, turning them from protective norms into instruments of coercion. Instead of society functioning as a protective space, victims are led to believe that disclosing sexual abuse would constitute a second violation of their privacy and their family’s reputation. This fosters a cycle of emotional isolation that discourages reporting or seeking assistance for fear of further compromising their personal and familial dignity, already eroded by the torture.

This, together with the impunity granted to the perpetrators by the Israeli legal system,
means these soldiers can do what they like.

The evolution of Israeli society must be going in a terrible downward trajectory. They might well wipe out the Palestinians and take over their land, but what good will it do them when they seem to be rotting at their own core.

This is so messed up. Illegal settler terrorists block access to their school with barbed wire fencing. School children and adults gather peacefully to get access and the IDF fire teargas at them it's just getting worse and worse.

Martymcfly24 · 13/04/2026 20:22

They really are ensuring no child will receive an education with their actions. From a country that prided itself on the education of it's young people to one where they are locked out of school and shot dead for just attending.

Ellen2shoes · 13/04/2026 21:35

Every possible measure is taken to destroy. The cruelty is unfathomable. To be aware that any Palestinian can be taken off the street or out of their houses at random, including minors, to be incarcerated, subjected to this level of inhumanity, is a form of terror in itself.

All this now under the cover of ‘ceasefire’ is beyond anything I could have foreseen - - being supported by our so called European civilisation.

Trump’s threat that he would destroy an entire civilisation is actually happening. Terrifying threat for the Iranians, taking place now in Palestine.

More children being prevented from attending school.

Ethnic cleansing is happening in Palestine while the details of oil prices take the headlines

Boolabus · 20/04/2026 18:31

“The scale and extent of deprivation across living conditions, livelihoods/income, food security, gender equality, and social inclusion, have pushed back human development in the Gaza Strip by 77 years,” the assessment states.

It's hard to have any hope that it will recover from this level of destruction to lives, society and infrastructure

Ellen2shoes · 20/04/2026 20:37

It’s hard to imagine recovery at all when there is ongoing destruction but we have to….

Martymcfly24 · 17/04/2026 21:56

The children are still there by the razor wire trying to get to school bearing signs saying ‘we want to learn’ and ‘school is not a battleground’. Settlers put up the wire, IDF have tear gassed them for trying to get through.

Boolabus · 21/04/2026 09:16

Palestinian women, men and children have reported attacks, forced nudity, invasive and painful body cavity searches, Israelis exposing their genitals, including to minors, and threats of sexual violence.
WTH! Sexual assault and child sexual abuse, this is horrific

Israeli soldiers using sexual assault to force Palestinians out of their West Bank homes. The utter bastards.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/apr/21/israeli-soldiers-using-sexual-assault-to-force-palestinians-out-of-west-bank-report-says?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

It is difficult to resist writing the word to describe these Israelis that came to mind on reading about their abuses. They have sunk so very low by their own standards and don’t even see it.

This looks like an interesting read

Interesting article @Ellen2shoes he sounds like a very learned experienced man. His inner conflict making such observations and criticisms must be huge especially with his past and the family he has still living in Israel.

Ellen2shoes · Yesterday 22:36

i agree @Martymcfly24 Now feel the need to read Bartov’s book but also credit to Aaron Gell who draws out interesting points, not least that it has been translated into ‘nine or ten’ languages yet not into Hebrew, despite Bartov’s offer to translate it himself.

ReturnOfTheToad · Today 08:24

The 'yellow line' moving, the 'orange line' moving, waking up to find you are now in Israels buffer zone. The 'orange line' appears to be a buffer zone to the buffer zone, the UN were informed that 10 of their facilities were now in the buffer zones buffer zone including shelters for the displaced. I'm confused reading this, how are people expected to be able to keep themselves safe when what is safe one minute is not safe the next. Where are Palestinians supposed to go now that Israel have claimed 58% of Gaza as theirs? What Israel have been allowed to do to the people of Gaza is absolutely shameful.

Ignorance is bliss in this case
