The Israeli army are using aid centres as target practice.

The Israeli government is proposing building a 'refugee' centre in Rafah with an extra special feature - no one is allowed to leave.

Hotel California?

Killing of young siblings at Gaza water point shows seeking life’s essentials now a deadly peril

Karam al-Ghussain, 9, and Lulu, 10, were fetching water from a nearby distribution station when an Israeli strike hit it, and them

IDF soldiers beat to death a 68 year old woman, Sabriya Shamasneh, during a raid on her home.

www.middleeasteye.net/news/israeli-forces-beat-elderly-palestinian-woman-death

That is just shocking (or is it?) that poor lady must have been terrified.

The new generation of terrorists have uniforms and government backing.

Boolabus · 09/04/2026 10:57

It's sickening, they have absolutely no moral code whatsoever, pure evil.

Society is f**cked. Hoping for a massive reset 🙏

Agreed, it's state backed terrorism. I feel so helpless! I see what Israel is doing to the Palestinians (now the Lebanese and Iranians), but I can't do anything to stop it. I hate it so much.

ScrollingLeaves · 09/04/2026 11:20

And do ordinary, decent Israelis think Middle Eastern Eye and other reporters of news like this are lying? Do they know what people are thinking of them?

I hate it so much too and I cannot understand the support they have from some people .
203 Lebanese murdered in one day and over 1000 injured.

1.2 million displaced. Of these 48000 are living on the streets and 240000 are sheltering in schools and public building where they are sitting targets as we know Israel likes to bomb these .

Due to the land grab by Israel they will probably never be able to return. Shame on the supporters of this regime.

Lebanon have declared an official day of mourning. It amounted to the biggest daily death toll for the Lebanon in the conflict. The cynic in me thinks Israel knew people would assume the ceasefire included Lebanon so struck to maximise casualties

Don't think that's cynical at all @Boolabus . The Pakistan PM said "have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere".

Then Israel launch a ten minutes strike that kills 200 people. Coincidence?

It's clear their greatest fear is a ceasefire which prevents them from continuing their strikes.(Although it hasn't stopped them in Gaza so who knows )

My utmost sympathy goes to the people of Lebanon.

That's pretty much what commentators on bbc newsnight were saying last night

TreesandGreen · 09/04/2026 15:32

Apart from the absolute immoral horror of it; I am also just very confused by Israel's ongoing attack on Lebanon. I'm clearly a simple soul, as I think that if other countries broke a ceasefire there would be international condemnation. What reason is Israel giving? How are they getting away with it? I genuinely don't understand. The Israeli government is just deranged it seems...

The US is backing them and more or less seems under Netanyahu’s control at the moment.

Boolabus · 10/04/2026 18:35

Netanyahu removes Spain from Gaza coordination centre. To me it looks like anyone highlighting their breaches are silenced

Netanyahu said Israel would not “remain silent in the face of those who attack us”.
“Spain has defamed our heroes, the soldiers of the IDF [Israeli army], the soldiers of the most moral army in the world. Therefore, I have instructed today to remove Spain’s representatives from the coordination centre in Kiryat Gat, after Spain has chosen repeatedly to stand against Israel,” he said.

Foreign Minister Gideon Saar also slammed Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and said his government had levelled “blood libels” at Israel and its army.

This I found particularly anger inducing: the soldiers of the most moral army in the world.

Where do you even begin....

Ellen2shoes · 11/04/2026 22:27

It’s relentless. With UNRWA and MSF dismantled, Palestinian journalists slaughtered and the indefensible ban on international journalism, I am so grateful to B’Tselem for their posts and reports.

Paraphrasing some longer parts of this recent post but:

B’Tselem have reported that since the October 10th ‘ceasefire’ to April 8th, Israel has killed 736 people, around 150 since the Iran conflict.

Trump’s yellow line plan, which has left more than half of the Gaza territory under Israel’s ‘temporary’ control has become an arena of killing and repeated displacement of Palestinians and is solidifying into a de facto border

According to recent satellite image analysis, since the ceasefire began Israel have erected 7 new posts along the yellow line, shifted its route to bite off more of Gaza’s land and begun erecting a ground barrier stretching for kilometres.

Gaza's 2.1 m residents are forced to crowd into in area less than half the size of the Strip’s territory.
Most live in makeshift tents, vulnerable to flooding with inhuman sanitation conditions or in structures at immediate risk of collapse.

Humanitarian aid had been restricted with aid trucks limited by around 80% since the Iran conflict.

Only 16 patients in need of urgent medical care were allowed to leave Gaza in March while around 18,500 people in need are still unable to do so.

2.6 million people are expected to face hunger this month due the food crisis caused by the closure of crossings.

6 months into the ‘ceasefire’, the killing destruction starvation and displacement persist while the international community continues to turn its back on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and enable the genocide carried out by Israel’

And this is just Gaza.
The terrorists of the WB, the mirrored horrors in Lebanon and Iran enabled by the unholy US alliance. It’s beyond belief that EU are allowing this to continue. What has happened to us all???

Thank you for the update, the news has moved on so it is incredibly important to know what the current reality is in Gaza. Depressing to see how desperate things still are and what utter destruction, death and displacement continues in the region by Israel.

Wanted to edit to say that this is of course all indefensible but the obligatory accusation that these are all Hamas can’t be applied to international journalists. What’s the excuse and where’s the push from EU?

Marie Colvin would have found a way.

I know there was discussions of schools and education in Palestine on another thread ( I can't remember which one) but the link above tells of a 9 year old girl shot dead in front of her classmates by the IDF .

Ellen2shoes · 12/04/2026 09:54

She was in a ‘tent’ school. I read this too and was stupidly waiting to hear something in mainstream media. It’s just heart breaking.

Martymcfly24 · 12/04/2026 09:57

Won't be covered. There is no way to spin this as they were Hamas/rock throwing/too close to the border so it will be ignored.

Boolabus · 12/04/2026 09:58

That is horrific. This stood out from the article:

CBC News reached out to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) for comment. In a response on Whatsapp, the IDF said it was working to "dismantle Hamas's military capabilities" but that it could not provide details about Ritaj Rihan's death.

"In stark contrast to Hamas' intentional attacks on Israeli men, women and children, the IDF follows international law and takes feasible precautions to mitigate civilian harm," the response read.

They are either trying to gaslight us or they are completely deluded. I'd go with the former. Evil

Id go with a combination of both. They are literally laughing at the international community while they commit these crimes.
And lines like this are parroted on here continuously so it's working.
