This is just unbelievable. These ‘protesters’ are being given free rein to threaten and assault pro-Israelis (Jewish) because ‘there’s 500 of them and 2 of you’.

Police not interested in doing their job, which is upholding the law I thought?

Just sickening that this country has come to this.

I thought the UK supported terrorism and were on the side of Hamas? That's what I heard the prime minister of your ally Israel say not so long ago anyway and we all know that Israel always tell the truth. Seems a bit off to support Hamas but then talk about threats to the UK.

Are you not British? Are you not resident in UK or NI?

Not everyone is British or lives in the UK, hardly that outlandish.

Anyone who calls for the death to any nation is wrong. If Britain don't want to be a target of terrorism then they should stop meddling in the middle East they literally created this problem.

From 1516 to 1916 Palestine was 90% Arab and living under the Ottoman empire.... then Britain looking out for its own interests and wanting a presence in the middle east decided to write to a leading figurehead of the Jewish community suggesting that they overthrow the Ottoman empire and create a new land for the Jewish people who were fleeing nazi Germany.
Britain armed the Jewish settlers who instigated relentless violence against the Palestinian people kicking them out of their own homes and slaughtering them.in the hundreds of thousands.

But you think the Palestinians are the terrorists

What a nice, neat little bit of convenient history, you present here. I suppose it's quite easy to overlook the little matter of arabs making it their mission to rid of the Jewish. They never wanted to share the land way back then and they certainly don't want to do it now. Your little description about Jews fleeing Nazi Germany is oozing with disdain.

Actually it was BN himself and his politics which strengthened Hamas. The Israeli government saw it in their interest to strengthen Hamas in order to weaken PA which meant reducing or ruining the chances of a 2 state solution. So if you really want to look at who supported Hamas, you might get a surprise if you don’t know the political history very well.

Stop trying to delegitimise UK terror attack carried out by Islamic zealots. The very same zealots that ‘govern’ Gaza

Stop trying to delegitimise UK terror attack

I'm not can you demonstrate where I have? I was caught up in the London bombings in 2005, I know very well what a UK terrorist attack is!! I'm arguing that the Palestinian flag has nothing to do with it.

Hamas "govern" Gaza. The Palestinian flag represents Gaza and the West Bank stop equating it with a terrorist organisation it was here before them and will be here long after them.

Ah okay.
So citizens with no affiliation to the past are fair game for terrorists?

I mean anyone is fair game for terrorists, that’s sort of their aim, but the comment you’re twisting doesn’t remotely say it’s okay.

“That doesn't mean that the innocent citizens of the UK deserve it”

Well apparently all the innocent toddlers and babies in Gaza are fair game for Israel so.....

Oh come on.

One Islamist nutjob has a link to other Islamist nutjobs. You might not feel comfortable admitting it but most people know it.

Palestine has a history of islamist nutjobs committing terrorist atrocities. Its ok to admit it, its the truth.

This is very they’re all brown, they’re all the same.

Extremists in Gaza and extremists in Syria don’t even have the same agenda.

You seem very disillusioned to be honest. I thought the same way as you for a long time, but I have now come to the conclusion that every action matters, however small. I have to be able to live with my conscience, and it is important to stand up and be heard and hold your government to account.

And the Palestine marches are doing something. There is an arrest warrant for BN. That is huge. Grass roots action works. Sanctions and divestments work. They have been used successfully thousands of times.

Our sense of care does not have to be finite. I am just as able to care about ending Israeli occupation in Palestine as I am about women’s rights and ending animal abuse etc.

An arrest warrant is indeed out there for Israeli officials. There are also many outstanding warrants out for Islamic war criminals.
IMHO if Israel doesn’t comply with Trump, NB will feel the wrath of the US. It’s unlikely but not impossible.
I will always have empathy for victims of a regime. When the movement associated with supporting a regime becomes proscribed; and people defend them, I think they are a danger.
If Palestine demonstrations were protests against the governments I would be on board.
Denial of Hamas and Iran’s intent is a massive red flag.
Talk of ‘grassroots’ after reading Action Palestine website infers a support of the obliteration of Israel.
I don’t support obliteration of any country, Israel or Arab.

Did you read my earlier post ? NBs government themselves were indirectly supporters of Hamas and helped them establish themselves. Crazy isn’t it, but actually true. I don’t think anyone should post if they are not aware of this.

Its not 'They're all brown, they're all the same',

Its 'They're all Islamist nutjobs, they're similar'.

There's some key differences there.

One is to do with the color of your skin which you were born with and cannot change, and one is to do with a belief system that you choose that allows for violence in support of political or ideological ideas in the name of an otherwise peaceful religion.

I hope that helps you.

Crikey the Arab nations must be quaking in their boots in anticipation, and as for all those other colonising nations, it'll never stop.

So basically, you've insulted me personally 3 times but haven't engaged at all with the content of any of my posts. You'll notice I haven't insulted you at all, just explained my point of view clearly.

RoseRR · 25/06/2025 18:44

I think you are insulting yourself. If you don’t have a lot of insight or knowledge about something, it’s always better to sit back, read all the posts and educate yourself.‘I don’t know why I am still responding to you. I won’t again!

So where does the flag come in? That's my issue. A poster saying the Palestinian flag was a trigger for people caught up in Manchester bombings. Do you agree? Are the Palestinians responsible for it all? Don't oh come on me I know exactly what posters are trying to do here.

Do you honestly think mumsnet is the place to come for insight and knowledge?! Thats concerning, to be honest. Can I suggest books, perhaps?
I'm not really sure why youre responding either, you keep saying you won't! If you'd like to actually engage with any of what I'm saying rather than just attempt to insult me then I'm happy to chat 😊
