Israel is a country at war and I know many will have links or family in that country so I think it appropriate to wish them safety in the coming days.

How do you know there weren't IDF in there? How do you know the IDF didn't do it themselves and blame Iran? All the same pathetic arguments here as have been made to justify bombing hospitals over the last two years. Pathetic.

Chances are that there is a military presence under the hospital. The IDF have large, sprawling underground bunker called the Fortress of Zion under Tel Aviv.

According to the Iranian government there were members of the military in the hospital that they hit.

According to the Iranian government! Not really a ringing endorsement is it? I think what is valid though is that pretty much next door to the hospital is a military intelligence facility and it could be that the missile was slightly adrift and caught the hospital instead. Perhaps. Difficult to know for sure.

yeah It was this.

Right - so, there is an underground military complex in TLV (not under a hospital), therefore "chances are" there's one under a hospital in a city 100km away?

So, not only is there are strong possibility of a military presence under the hospital (the Fortress of Zion), there's a definite military presence right next to the hospital.

Oh dear, my reply wasn’t polite enough . Once more @10UsernamesNotAvailableTryAnotherOne - your lack of knowledge means that you are very confidently mixing up two cities 100km apart.

Why on earth are you mentioning the Fortress of Zion (located underground beneath the IDF headquarters in central Tel Aviv) in connection with the bombing of a hospital in a city over 100 km away?

Babyboomtastic · 19/06/2025 11:17

No they aren't.
That's just a lie you tell yourself so that killing Palestinians is ok in your mind.

  1. Do you think Israel would bomb one of their own hosptials if Hamas were hiding underneath btw?
  2. do you have evidence of hamas command centres underneath every single hospital bombed by Israel over the last two years? Dozens if not hundreds of attacks?

No I don't think Israel would bomb one of their own hospitals (even in the strange situation where Hamas were hiding underneath) because they are not at war with themselves.

No I don't have evidence of Hamas command centres underneath every single hospital Israel has bombed over the last 2 years, but I tend to believe them when they say that they had the suspicion of Hamas militants or tunnels in the hospital grounds.

Where they were mistaken, this should be investigated to see if they had enough reasonable grounds to bomb or not. It may be the case that certain individuals who are investigated after the war are found guilty of war crimes as they lacked sufficient evidence but bombed the hospital anyway. In this situation, I would agree that the individuals have committed war crimes and should be punished.

Oh look, OP gets upset that the Isreali hospital gets hit when civillians are inside - question - were you as upset when isreal were bombing the palastinian hospitals in gaza? killing hundreds if not thousands of civillians, women and children in the process? no? then why the hell not?

Maybe understand that this isn’t a new thing for Israel. Maybe all the pro Palestine fans have missed this bit of news.

Hezbollah and Iran 'poised to attack Israel this week' - as region on brink of dangerous escalation

The stage is set for a potential repeat of April's massive escalation when Iran launched hundreds of missiles in its first direct attack on Israel.

It's not news for Israel either. They knew exactly how Iran would respond with the airstrikes. They want to bring the US into the war.

Yeah okay. Are you saying that Israel are not allowed to start bombing a country who wants to see the country destroyed?
I believe Israel has a right to fuck up any country that wants to destroy it. Party on and keep the west out of it

I actually think the conflict in the middle East has backfired if the intention was to have an echo chamber about the alleged genocide in Gaza. The conflict in the region has spread and there a multiple of discussions to be had including the proximity of Iran to developing a nuclear weapon.

There are huge cries from lefty types that coverage of a conflict of huge international significance involving Israel is now dominating the news. Maybe some want this site to once again be 'a look at Gaza' echo chamber when now we have obviously a lot more complex situation where Hamas propaganda has lost its punch.

"Alleged genocide"?
Wow, people like you do exist. Interesting and extremely ironic you criticise others for looking for an echo chamber.

This is not really how international law works.

Exactly. Alleged. Not even close.
A real genocide would mean every Gazan would have been bombed to death or now in interment camps, awaiting execution.
