Apologies for the long title! There are so many awful things happening to the Palestinians in the West Bank, the Christians in Israel and others.

I thought there was already a thread detailing this but now can’t find it, apologies if I am missing it. Or it may have already been full.

Thanks @Finallyloggedin , the situation in the West Bank is just as dire. Settler violence, setting markets on fire, night raids etc.

Those sympathetic to the Germans in WWII were equally as upset when the UK (and others) bombed them, but we gave medals to those who did a good job of killing Germans.

#tip don't attack a well armed nation and take hostages to rape and murder later.

And the shoot to kill of a suspect is reported by France 24 as well.Why not disable and arrest and send for trial I wonder? You have to ask how demolishing the local supermarket is going to improve Israel’s security situation.

The Balata incident is reported in the Irish Examiner if 22 May. The age of the victims is not listed
But what I can’t understand is that only the Nee York times is reporting how settlers have been let take over 37,000 acres of Oaledtinian land since 7/10.

I’m not sure why some posters have a problem with news about the atrocities being committed being shared. I wonder if one day they will regret trying to stop the truth being told.

I have no issue with news being shared. I have an issue with pro-terrorist twitter accounts being shared.

And no mention in the media of Northern Israel being on fire because of th incendiaries fired by Hezbollah. Not everything one reads is ‘news’ or ‘true’. Hamas make a lot of it up. For example, they had to admit that Israel hadn’t bombed the hospital and also had to admit that the figures of fatalities was way below 35000

Why did Hezbollah fire at Northern Israel? It was in response to the IDF using phosphorus to trigger fires in South Lebanon.

The problem is the suppression of the international press and the probable targeting of journalists by IDF in Gaza.@malengring . Twitter/x is the guy standing on a box on Hyde corner. He has his own agenda. Only the most naïve would not take this into account and assume that certain amount of spin has not been put on the account of the incident. But it doesn’t mean that that the events did not happen.
There is very little in the English language Israeli press about the events above apart from a feeble defence in the Times of Israel.
It is not in the Israeli government interests for Americans to see what suffering it is inflicting on Palestinian civilians.

A poster on another thread posted an Australian TV political question and answer show. On this, the Australian journalist Maher Mugrabi explained how misleading it was on one level to say there had been peace before Oct 7, because in the West Bank 2023 had been the most violent year since 2005. 80 children were killed alone!

i saw a video of Trump greeting a famous boxer the other day. The boxer (sorry, I have no idea of the name but I will try to check) said to Trump “I know you will end the war on Gaza” and Trump replied “it’s over, it will end”. Which I imagine he has zero intention of actually doing, but the lies just roll off his tongue.

Not that Biden has been any better. They are just both awful and seem completely dead to the suffering they are causing, don’t they?
