Apologies for the long title! There are so many awful things happening to the Palestinians in the West Bank, the Christians in Israel and others.

I thought there was already a thread detailing this but now can’t find it, apologies if I am missing it. Or it may have already been full.

Here is a clip of Israeli minister of finance, Bezelal Smotrich, vowing to topple Netanyahu’s government and calling for genocidal violence in the West Bank.

Compare and contrast these two reported events which were in Haaretz (Israeli newspaper) yesterday.

Note the similarities and differences:

  1. Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian shepherd and an Israeli activist who was there helping the man in the West Bank on Friday. The settlers threw stones at the shepherd's car, smashed his windows, threatened both him and the activist and beat them.
  2. WEST BANK: The Palestinian Health Ministry said five Palestinians were wounded by IDF fire in a refugee camp near Ramallah, with three in serious condition. A security source said the IDF forces had been in the area to pursue a car-ramming suspect who wounded a soldier on Thursday, and that the soldiers had fired in response to locals who threw stones.

Yes where were the IDF in scenario 1 to deal with the stone throwers

This happened yesterday 16th June 2024

Israeli Politician Quotes Hitler to Argue for Resettlement of Gaza

“Former Israeli Knesset member Moshe Feiglin quoted Adolf Hitler as he called for Israel to resettle the Gaza Strip and create a "Hebrew Gaza."

“Feiglin, who quit Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party to found the right-wing Zehut Party and plans to challenge Likud in Israel's next elections, made the comments during a panel discussion on Israel's Channel 12 that was shared on social media on Sunday”

"We are not guests in our country, this is our country, all of it..."
"As Hitler said, 'I cannot live if one Jew is left.' We can't live here if one 'Islamo-Nazi' remains in Gaza."

Quoted from:https://www.commondreams.org/news/moshe-feiglin-hitler

link to video of him saying this genocidal rhetoric on Channel 12 as reported:

Israeli Politician Quotes Hitler to Argue for Resettlement of Gaza | Common Dreams

"In what kind of society can one openly advocate policies modeled on Hitler's conduct? In a society that feels complete impunity due to America's protection," one foreign policy expert said.

Yes, I didn't say otherwise.

And that certainly isn't the first account spouting Hamas propaganda that has been posted on here.

Am amazed by all the obvious hamas propaganda being put on MN with posters, or at least some of them believing they’re typical Mumsnet posters.
All forums are being used by these people, just used.

sparkleowl · 18/06/2024 21:23

TheBlueQuail · 16/06/2024 08:57

Why won't hamas return the hostages, the survivors (and bodies)? They brutally murdered, raped, mutilated, humiliated so many innocent people for no reason. Why can't they return the rest and negotiate. We don't hear this in the press, only what Israel is doing to try to get them back and eradicate the terrorist organisation. Terrible situation for the normal people dragged in. All because of hamas

Because they’re brutal medieval thugs.

Possibly helping them...

ScrollingLeaves · 18/06/2024 23:25

Israelis protesting in favour of releasing the hostages are themselves being badly treated:

(Haaretz newspaper)

  • Police forcefully dispersed some 20 protesters calling for a hostage release deal who were blocking an interchange in Jerusalem. Four were arrested and another was sent to hospital after police threw her off of a ladder placed by demonstrators at the scene.
  • Plain-clothes Israeli police officers were recorded Monday punching and pulling a protester's hair while arresting her outside the Jerusalem home of PM Netanyahu. Three people were wounded and at least eight were arrested during the demonstration, including a volunteer doctor who sustained an eye injury caused by a police water cannon, which also threw a 60-year-old protester against a wall, in direct violation of police procedures, and a 70-year-old protester who sustained a head injury when he was violently arrested by the police.

@Finallyloggedin
You know what the IDF said when asked but before seeing footage?
“An Israeli security source told The Telegraph the suspect was being “kept alive” by being placed on the front of the military vehicle.
“He was laid there to keep him flat, so he wouldn’t die,” he said. “If he had been squashed into the back of the vehicle there is no way he would have made it with the injuries he had sustained in the raid.”

They then changed their story after this footage was shared showing them driving past three ambulances….

Finallyloggedin · 23/06/2024 23:34

@SugarandSpiceandAllThingsNaice I didn’t know that, how sick.

They get away, literally, with murder, each and every day and they are so used to acting with impunity that they can’t even be bothered to get their story straight.

How more deprived does this have to get before the world steps in?

How intensely unpleasant. Did settler children do this, I wonder? Where are the adults, if so.

Not sure if anyone on here can read Hebrew and confirm what this says? Is it “May your village burn?” (Apparently played at a kindergarten graduation in Jerusalem but I cannot verify myself)

im not sure whereabouts this is, whether Gaza or the West Bank. But terrible, wherever it took place:

“Israel pours concrete in Palestinians’ irrigation wells.
I think about this one every other week.
July 2023 (there was a ceasefire on Oct 6 etc etc).
The brutality, inhumanity and injustice of all of it.”

Tameem

I remember another video I saw a while back of Israeli tanks purposely destroying strawberry crops, in a whole field. Obviously a family’s livelihood. It’s yet another level of the attempt to destroy Palestinians’ lives.

I follow this org on FB.

It is run by Jewish Israelis.

ICAHD

The Israeli committee against house demolitions.

icahd.org/

Almost every day there is another incident of Palestinian homes in the WB being bulldozed and their land taken.

Give them a follow.

They are also on X but their FB account is much better and updated.

NY Times:

In 2015 I met this Palestinian farmer, Abdel-Majeed, on the West Bank. Israeli settlers were attacking him and stealing his land, and I thought the situation was about as bad as it could get.

No, it has gotten much worse. I revisited him last week, during a week-long trip through Israel and the West Bank, and I found that settlers have burned his cars and destroyed his tractor. They have cut down his olive trees and set his sheep shed on fire. They tried to break into his house when his granddaughter was home. Now his wife is arguing that they should give up their home, for fear of being burned alive by settlers.

This is life on the West Bank today. It doesn't get as much attention as Gaza, but the situation is desperate. And the US is largely AWOL. I know it feels a long way away, but this is central to the Middle East crisis and is one reason I fear the crisis will get worse. Here's my report: nyti.ms/3ROOfNs

This is exactly what their aim is, terrorise them and make life unbearable forcing them to leave. This is no way to live horrendous terrorising treatment by these settlers

No doubt if Palestinians of the West Bank suddenly attacked Israel, it would be said that everything had been peaceful before then but the Palestinians just want to kill all Israelis.

AhNowTed · 01/07/2024 10:43

Jews risking their life and limb to support Palestinian shepherds in their struggle to fend off settler terrorism. All respect to them. Fabulous work.
