If you think the poster didn't say anything wrong, I suggest you do a bit of research into what is and isn't anti-Semitic. Surely even you can agree that it isn't ok for them to be saying "the Jewish lobby" ie Jews can't be trusted to correctly identify antisemitism, and give them an inch and they'll take a mile??? It's pure antisemitism. Nothing to do with Israel. Nothing to do with the current war. The poster was plainly being anti-Semitic.

My view on it is the Conservative government are cynically using the Israel/Gaza war to play culture wars and inflame division, in an attempt to be re-elected. We have seen ample examples (Braverman/Sue Hall/Lee Anderson, now this).

My view is they are also attempting to undermine democratic rights (e.g. right to protest) to make it easier to shut down dissent against them. Hence reporting this on the day the court found their protest laws to be illegal.

And my view is they are using the very real concerns/fear about antisemitism cynically so some people will act as "useful idiots" and spread the division further not realising they are being manipulated.

However, I feel strongly that anti semitism is currently a huge problem and getting progressively worse. You may be suspicious of the governments motivation but they do have a responsibility to keep people of all faiths/ethnicities safe. I'd be horrified if they actually turned a blind eye to this issue.

I am Jewish and I am scared to go into central London at the weekend. I am not a Tory voter and hate to support the present government but Michael Gove is right. It is not a good time to be a Jew in the UK

Yes, whether you like the government or not is irrelevant. They need to tackle this issue. We're not imagining it. We're not over sensitive. Anti semitism is real.

I'm much more inclined to believe the Jewish holocaust survivor who spoke AT ONE OF THE RALLIES against Israel and people claiming that standing against this genocide is antisemitism. Funny how Gove et. Al forget about the Jewish people that attend them.
