So you are saying antisemitism figures are inflated because of conflation with criticism of Israel? so it’s not really so bad, because a lot of the numbers are just Jews crying ‘antisemitism!’ every time Israel is criticized? If anything, anecdotally, the numbers are more likely severely underreported. My friend had a difficult incident where her primary school age kids were targeted in a playground through the gates by kids in a school abutting the playground, and verbally harassed. She did not report. The numerous incidents I experienced growing up, I did not report. We are both very visibly religious Jews. Most Jews are so resigned to it, we don’t bother to report. It is almost a feature of life. You’re speaking about something that you have no lived experience of.
