You could probably force Israel. You couldn't force hamas to stop though.

Furthermore, I find it quite sad—though perhaps that's not the best term to use—that we always have to reiterate the principle of the avoidance of doubt in the wake of an Israeli crime, but that the same scrutiny isn't applied to the opposite situation.

And how might this happen? Israel has violated a plethora of international laws with impunity, for years, so that means nothing.

I said probably. The US might be able by withdrawal of weapons, which could cause a catastrophe for Israel.

The UK has no power over Israel. The pro pal marchers don't appear to realise that.

I think the last 9 months have shown that you can’t stop a genocide by asking nicely (not that the uk government has even really done that)

Now what about stopping hamas, how can we help with that? Can we do anything to get them to release the people they kidnapped?

Both sides must agree otherwise we aren't going anywhere.

Hamas committed awful acts but the scale of the horror the idf and Israeli government are committing daily ever since is far, far greater.

Hamas also offered to return the hostages on October 8th or 9th, for a ceasefire deal, and several times since. It’s Israel who won’t agree to a ceasefire.

• support the arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant

Is she referring to newborn babies as terrorists?

@Dulra Yes, I think that’s what the Knesset member says. The interviewer queries it and he confirms that is what he means.

As the 300 terrorists born in the maternity ward can only mean babies, then that suggests, given this person’s odd understanding of language, that the 150 ‘terrorists’ they ‘catched’ were not necessarily terrorists either.

Worst of all, calling 300 babies terrorists is dehumanising them. It sounds genocidal. If anyone spoke of 300 Jewish babies this way, it would rightly be called anti-semitism.

Lot of messages on X saying that Israeli troops have really ramped up the genocide in the last 24 hours. Tens of bodies being found all over the city.
