Hamas planned attacks on Jewish people in Europe

Have seen in the news - I suspect it’s the tip of the iceberg and absolutely terrifying for Jewish people everywhere. Hamas need to be stopped, hopefully this helps to reinforce that they are a terrorist group and not some romantic notion about being ‘freedom fighters’

in my view it is Israel and it’s supporters that are pushing this false narrative

Are you including Denmark as one of the supporters? I ask because they voted for a ceasefire recently

So maybe the quotes from the PM etc really are indicative of their concern because at the same time there’s a vote for ceasefire

My understanding is that Denmark has denied the suspects arrested there are Hamas members. Have they updated that position?

Ok so I guess you can stop calling Israel's actions genocide and war crimes now then as they've not been convicted of it 🙌🏻

Hah, nice try. I won’t but A for effort.

What word should I have used to describe someone who is a victim of terrorism but not the target?

Is there any reason why they can’t be referred to as a victim even if they were not the target?

Of course they'd be victims, don't be ridiculous. There is still a difference between being caught up in something and being targeted though. The intent is different, which is all I was trying to say. Any death would obviously be equally sad and mourned. Just like I want every hostage, regardless of nationality or religion, to be released by Hamas.

I feel like you know exactly what I was trying to say but have decided to nit-pick nonetheless.

I'm not joking around Confused I just genuinely don't see what's so special about German civillians that suddenly makes people who are adamant that civillians get killed that's what happens start wailing about the possibility of civillians getting killed. Germany is a big supporter of attempted genocide, they've involved themselves in this as has the UK and the US. You can't sit around being like fuck yeah war then act surprised when it comes to your doorstep and it might be your civillians in jeopardy as well as Palestinian ones.

Again, it's not Germans who would be targeted. It would be Jews, regardless of nationality.

After 9/11 muslims in the UK and the west became a target of hate and abuse even though it was nothing to do with them. What is happening to Jewish people around the world right now is like that and also not acceptable

Parkingt111 · 15/12/2023 21:18

And neither is the targeting of Palestinians or Muslims around the world by people who equate them with Hamas or other terrorist groups.

Are you saying that anyone who supports Israel's right to defend itself from further terrorist attacks, like those of 7 Oct, which Hamas has promised to repeat, is a legitimate target of further terrorism?

Agreed, it wasn't acceptable then and it shouldn't be acceptable now. I remember my dad being targeted too as everyone assumes he's Muslim (he is of Iraqi heritage). It was bad enough for us so I can't imagine what others went through.

Your nit-picking

Anotherdayanotherdiet · 15/12/2023 21:29

That's a genuine question.
Lol, even if they were would they admit it? You’re just trying to make trouble now.

Anotherdayanotherdiet · 15/12/2023 21:29

Your nit-picking

I haven’t done any nit picking though

It’s clearly not a genuine question but I’ll answer it anyway. No, I am not @Toothyfruity. this is the only username I have and have ever had on this site. I’ve got a full time job and a life, I don’t have time to sit around posting under multiple user names. You may find it hard to believe but there are others out there who just share similar views.

Can't see anywhere that they aren't linked.
And the danish prime minister made a statement. I think if they had their laminated membership cards that wouldn't be enough for you.

I don't even think it's that for me. It's that people have come on a thread to talk about being frightened about what is going on and you want to shout them down. And I don't get why? Am truly baffled.

What gives you the right to do that?

I was only asking because I was looking back and your posts seemed to overlap. I mean, at one point I thought I was replying to you when it was actually toothy as the conversations seemed to be following on from one another. I am very aware there are a fair few with the same views.

Glad to hear you have a good work-life balance 👍🏻

Anyway as per your request I'll leave you alone now. At least until your next outrageous post.

Yes it’s hard to see why posters would do that

Absolutely agree with this. It’s very frightening.

OK, thanks for explaining... That's given me some very revealing insight into your twisted thinking, which boils down to racist oversimplifications. I hadn't realised it was this puerile.

I will call happily call them that when they’ve been convicted of terrorism. Until then I’ll stick with bad people. Thanks.

Are you saying Hamas aren't terrorists?

stomachameleon · 15/12/2023 21:42

when it's your type of Western civilian

@OuiOuiKitty what does that mean?
