It’s just heartbreaking. I’ve seen videos on twitter that are beyond anything I can even begin to describe. Palestinians are being murdered in their thousands and the western media is largely pretending it’s not happening.

The average age of the people who have been killed in Gaza is FIVE years old.

The UK media are not showing how the Israeli government is openly talking about, and cheerleading genocide now. Israeli government speaks about Palestinians as if they are not humans. They are saying women are targets as they can have babies. I’ve just read how, since October 7th they have taken over 5,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and tortured them. They were already routinely arresting Palestinians and taking them away from their family with no reason and no but this is not being adequately reported.

Please, please visit sites such as 972 magazine and declassified uk. The BBC, etc, unfortunately aren’t reporting the extent to what is going on.

Israel and its allies are repurposing the goals and lies of 1948 – in Gaza in 2023

Israel is openly carrying out ethnic cleansing inside Gaza, driving Palestinians outside their homeland as happened in 1948. And yet, just as during the first “Nakba”, Israel's lies and deceptions dominate the West’s media and political narrative.

The Palestinian people are incredible. They are living under the worst conditions and yet they are still able to make beautiful food and look after each other ❤️

@inkworks273 thank you for posting that, what a beautiful video and it’s brightened my day seeing it . They really are the most incredible people ❤

So far 9 people killed and another 75 injured after Israeli tank fire on a UN building where displaced Palestinians are sheltering.
There's concerns the fatalities will rise because of lack of access to medical care.
It's appalling that there is truly no place safe in Gaza.
People are being killed everywhere

Parkingt111 · 24/01/2024 18:03

The full report is on sky news

inkworks273 · 24/01/2024 18:06

@Parkingt111 Absolutely horrific. So many people complicit in these war crimes.

The US have said they 'deplore' the attack on the UN building and civilians should always be protected. Doubt that's going to make a iota of a difference, all they do is say how regrettable all these killings are whilst doing nothing about it.

Some Israelis protesting aid entering Gaza. Should also mention I just saw another video of some infinitely better souls in tel aviv protesting the genocide. I’ll try to post that too.

Not sure this has been posted today. Pretty sure she miss-spoke like the other day in the March in London.

@EasterIssland Yes I saw it earlier and was cringing! I do think she misspoke to be fair. I think what she meant to say was that what the people of Gaza are going through is nothing like the holocaust. I can't say I agree with her.

yeah she clearly misspoke same as the speaker the other day.

inkworks273 · 24/01/2024 23:18

@EasterIssland Yes, I saw that one too. Also saw that the police were investigating which was just ridiculous. I must check on the outcome of that one.

They were discharged with no charges. Police knew they had misspoken and probably they said they’d investigate it more because of the public outrage rather than anything else , just trying to keep angry voices down “shut up ,see we are doing something “

inkworks273 · 24/01/2024 23:39

@EasterIssland The galling thing is that all the people acting outraged and reporting him to the police must have known he misspoke but they still took the opportunity to try to smear him. Just awful.

It's all part of manufacturing rage to distract from the crimes being committed in Gaza right now.

It also acts to silence people who are critical of Israeli Government actions and their own Governments silent acquiescence.

Said the wrong thing, even by mistake, the police may knock on your door? We'll also harass your employer until you're fired.

Edit - response to a post that has now been deleted!

Well I think critical thinking skills are very much needed, to wade through the plethora of information we are presented with, and decide how much weight we give to each piece. So actually I agree that children should be taught critical thinking skills. That way they won’t succumb to the idea that indiscriminate killing of people is Ok, and they can stand strong in their convictions of right and wrong, when groups or individuals with less than admirable motives try to persuade them otherwise.

I wish Hammas would free the hostages.
what a vile group they are.

110 days and 75 years of this war and still having to deny the same comments.

Criticism of Israeli government policy will be punished it seems

Absolutely, it's why so many people stay "silent". Your livelihood gone in a minute. Hopefully she has a great solicitor as I imagine there is a Employment Tribunal case here.
