It’s just heartbreaking. I’ve seen videos on twitter that are beyond anything I can even begin to describe. Palestinians are being murdered in their thousands and the western media is largely pretending it’s not happening.

The average age of the people who have been killed in Gaza is FIVE years old.

The UK media are not showing how the Israeli government is openly talking about, and cheerleading genocide now. Israeli government speaks about Palestinians as if they are not humans. They are saying women are targets as they can have babies. I’ve just read how, since October 7th they have taken over 5,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and tortured them. They were already routinely arresting Palestinians and taking them away from their family with no reason and no but this is not being adequately reported.

Please, please visit sites such as 972 magazine and declassified uk. The BBC, etc, unfortunately aren’t reporting the extent to what is going on.

Israel and its allies are repurposing the goals and lies of 1948 – in Gaza in 2023

Israel is openly carrying out ethnic cleansing inside Gaza, driving Palestinians outside their homeland as happened in 1948. And yet, just as during the first “Nakba”, Israel's lies and deceptions dominate the West’s media and political narrative.

@MrsSkylerWhite that's ok. We all do it. It's an emotive subject.

Chaitales · 23/11/2023 15:35

Crucial update : the IDF are now hamas. Well. This makes things clearer

Please do all you can to object to the genocide of Palestinians
Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 17:00

Wasn't sure which thread to put this on as not directly related to genocide but a message to protect civilians. If there's a more appropriate thread then please do direct me to it

Words from Spains prime minister today
Let me also be clear: Israel must abide by international law, including international humanitarian law, in its response … The whole world is shocked at the images that we see coming from Gaza every day. The number of Palestinians killed is truly unbearable. I believe that all civilians must be protected at all costs.

The civilian death toll In such a short space of time has been devastating
Once again praying that all the hostages are released and a permanent ceasefire is adopted by both sides

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 17:35

@Ohlalalalala it is heartbreaking
All the innocent children killed and suffering for something that they played no part no part in 😔

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 17:44

And for all the parents who feel helpless knowing they are unable to protect their own children

There are eye witness reports from the massacre on 7th October saying they saw people in IDF uniform and they thought they were about to be saved, until they heard them shouting in Arabic and then saw them continuing their murdering rampage. Didn't realise this was even being disputed.

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 17:58

An IDF spokesman said air strikes could intensity before the truce and called it 'business as usual'
It just sounds such a cruel way to put it when the strikes are happening in civilian areas

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 17:59

From sky
Israeli operations "may even intensify" in the run-up to the ceasefire, an IDF spokesperson has told our partner network NBC News.
It's "business as usual," said Richard Hecht, rebuffing the idea that Israel could scale back operations in Gaza ahead of a pause in the fighting set to begin at 7am tomorrow, local time.
Meanwhile, an airstrike hit the southern town of Khan Younis today, injuring several people including journalists, the Associated Press reported.
A man and a young boy were recovered from under the rubble and carried to ambulances.
Eyewitness Nazmeia al Ewaity said: "We were baking to eat and feed our children, they just started to eat and they were hit.
"The whole building collapsed, they had nothing, they did nothing. Why did this happen?"

So everything idf/7th Oct is fact, but 11000 dead people, buildings flattened, hospitals churches and schools destroyed, we need to take with a pinch of salt and dispute. Dead bodies and mothers holding children with holes in their skulls are actors, everything is faked - but everything else non Palestinian is fact. Got it.

It's so weird, I don't remember saying any of that?!

Efacsen · 23/11/2023 18:26

Also

Israel to continue 'intense' fighting for at least two months after 'short' truce, says defense minister

So that will be approx 30000 deaths by then Sad Sad Sad

Ceasefire instead

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 18:34

@Efacsen I saw that
I wish it could all just end
Ceasefire and release all the hostages
There has been enough bloodshed
And continuing the war for that long gives a greater risk at escalation with other countries too

Efacsen · 23/11/2023 18:44

@Parkingt111 and destruction too - more than 60% of homes have been destroyed in 7 weeks - in another 8 weeks there will be none??

Chaitales · 23/11/2023 18:49

Humdingerydoo · 23/11/2023 18:22

Apologies, I didnt mean you specifically and I'm sorry if it came across like that. My feed is full of people posting images of dead Palestinian children, feet sticking out of flattened buildings and fleeing mothers with captions about how it's all fake. It's all very demoralising.

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 18:49

Meanwhile another strike on another refugee camp just being reported
Imagine losing you whole family or most of it in such a horrifying way. Knowing that some might still be alive but under the rubble and they might just die there

Hosni Moharib lost his wife and several children in the attack on Nuseirat refugee camp, while other relatives of his remain buried beneath the rubble.
"They kill children and babies, are these who are resisting and fighting?" he said, standing in the wreckage of his house, before bursting into tears.

Stomacharmeleon · 23/11/2023 18:54

@Chaitales is there? I haven't seen any. That sounds awful.

I personally don't post photos of any victims of this war. It feels too disrespectful using them as some kind of pawn, using them to prove a point. They're all real people. I also don't really have any interest in claiming the number of victims is exaggerated / under reported - doesn't feel overly important at this point. Either way it's too many deaths on both sides and either way we won't have an accurate number until the war is over.

I hope all the hostages are returned soon so this war has a chance of ending

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 19:03

@Stomacharmeleon I have unfortunately seen it. It stops you from sleeping at night.
One of the worst things I have seen and not something I would share on here
It wasn't even a picture but a video taken straight after a strike. There must have been tonnes and tonnes of rubble on top of them
So many children die because they are stuck under the rubble and can't be rescued

That's why I want a ceasefire and all the hostages released. Has there not been enough suffering
How can we move forward when so much of Gaza is literally being flattened

You know what a former minister said on Israeli TV today. We will turn khan younis into a football ground
Khan younis is where so many of the displaced are sheltering
I know you don't think like that and you are also upset to see what is happening but its so difficult to keep rational when people openly on TV are saying things like this
The presenter didn't even call her up on it

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 19:10

And I know there's alot of people showing hatred towards innocent Israelis too
None is ok

feralunderclass · 23/11/2023 19:19

We will turn Khan Younis into a football ground

How can people deny this is a genocide when the government are saying things like this? Khan Younis was supposed to be the safe space, then it was bombed shortly after people moved there. It hasn't stopped since 💔

Stomacharmeleon · 23/11/2023 19:21

@Parkingt111 it's only today I have posted hostage photos. It feels disrespectful like I should ask how they feel about it first. Their families. I do feel the relentless posting of 'horror' means it loses its meaning. No one should be looking at dead children with anything less than sorrow.

No I don't feel like that and she should be pulled up.

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 19:25

Yes and that's not all she said it actually gets worse. I don't know anything about Israeli channel 13. Is there some sort of regulator that a complaint can be made too by the people?
She's the former israeli justice minister

Speaking on Israeli Channel 13, former Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, said recently that the city of Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza, would be turned into a "soccer field with the help of God and the Israeli army".
Israel should "take advantage of the destruction that we will wreak upon them," Shaked said, arguing that other countries should permanently take "20,000 or 50,000" each of Gaza's Palestinian residents to vacate the area entirely.

Stomacharmeleon · 23/11/2023 19:27

@Parkingt111 I have to ask. That's an odd choice of day time viewing?

Parkingt111 · 23/11/2023 19:29

@Stomacharmeleon meaning if I viewed it directly on Israeli TV?
No I didn't but there's a video circulating of it and it's been reported on some sites

My comment about about if Israeli people could complain was in regards to you saying she should be held accountable
So in the uk we have ofcom
