Please do all you can to object to the genocide of Palestinians

It’s just heartbreaking. I’ve seen videos on twitter that are beyond anything I can even begin to describe. Palestinians are being murdered in their thousands and the western media is largely pretending it’s not happening.

The average age of the people who have been killed in Gaza is FIVE years old.

The UK media are not showing how the Israeli government is openly talking about, and cheerleading genocide now. Israeli government speaks about Palestinians as if they are not humans. They are saying women are targets as they can have babies. I’ve just read how, since October 7th they have taken over 5,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and tortured them. They were already routinely arresting Palestinians and taking them away from their family with no reason and no but this is not being adequately reported.

Please, please visit sites such as 972 magazine and declassified uk. The BBC, etc, unfortunately aren’t reporting the extent to what is going on.

Israel and its allies are repurposing the goals and lies of 1948 – in Gaza in 2023

Israel is openly carrying out ethnic cleansing inside Gaza, driving Palestinians outside their homeland as happened in 1948. And yet, just as during the first “Nakba”, Israel's lies and deceptions dominate the West’s media and political narrative.

And to all the people objecting to my use of the word genocide to describe the murder and displacement of thousands upon thousands of people, you also need to look at how low you are stooping.

Every hospital in Gaza is a target for the IDF. Remember the first hospital they bombed, they tried to pretend was a Hamas missile, now they don’t even bother you hide it. They bombed a school and killed 200 people the other day, probably countless other schools before and after that. They have bombed and destroyed every university.

I saw a video of Israeli schoolchildren actually singing a song about killing all the Palestinians. Obviously they are very young and not responsible for their actions but that is how insidious the hatred and dehumanisation of Palestinians is. This was a choreographed video where lots of adult must have had a hand in producing.

And the Israel government have the cheek to be asking Arab countries to take the Palestinians when Palestine IS THEIR LAND.

Many Palestinians, prior to October 7th, just wanted to live in peace with Israelis and share the land. It is Israel’s government who won’t agree to share the land. As others have said, Netanyahu actually wants to keep Hamas as they provide him with an excuse to keep the war going indefinitely.

if you won’t call it what it is - genocide and ethnic cleaning - then that’s on you, but to try to shut down the conversation and distract people on a technicality is not right.

What an horrific comment. You’re basically saying serves them right.

Little children had no part in any of this.

Stomacharmeleon · 22/11/2023 11:05

@Finallyloggedin I don't think either side covers themselves in glory when it comes to radicalising their children.
'One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter'
It's why we need the two state solution.

Stomacharmeleon · 22/11/2023 11:10

@MrsSkylerWhite I know. Tell that to the children in kibbutz Nir-Oz.

@MaatSeshat not one day of Terror if your children have been taken hostage in Gaza? Of your elderly grandmother has gone? Or you don't know where your mother is? Hardly one day of terror for all the people affected by the constant Rockets fired from Gaza. I imagine the fact they are largely ineffectual doesn't matter to a child on the receiving end of it. It's intent is there.

@tinatsarina I cannot believe you have written this. Please read up on the historical abuse, murder, land grabbing, house demolition, refusal of medical treatment, sieges, just to name a few things that the state of Israel has been inflicting upon Palestinians for decades.

feralunderclass · 22/11/2023 12:38

And I forgot murder. And you have the audacity to say the Gazans now understand how Israel feels? Words fail me.

This
The amount of people who come on here to insinuate the Gazans brought it on themselves is shocking
And it's generally always from new posters.
I used to always believe that everyone if not most feel sympathy for the innocent Gazans, but sadly its been eye opening to see that is not always the case
It seems Humanity is only reserved for some

I’m equally shocked at the people who minimise what happened on Oct 7th, as if their Government’s behaviour justified it. Seems equally one-way in the opposite direction for some others.

We need a term for this deep rooted hatred towards Palestinians.

Parkingt111 · 22/11/2023 13:10

@ElevenSeven yes unfortunately there are people who do that too.
None are right

I wonder how many young Israelis know about the Nakba. I know that sounds a ridiculous thing to say but so many people seem to think that there were no issues for Palestinians prior to 7th October.

Isn’t it illegal to mark the Nakba in Israel?

For such a “liberal and democratic country” Israel seems to like to keep its citizens in the dark. Another example is the recent banning of protest. I know it has been allowed to a very small extent in the last week, but very limited. They have also just debated a law which allows soldiers to shoot protesters, simply for protesting.

I’ve seen videos of Torah Jews (amongst many others) in Israel protesting against the bombing of Gaza and get beaten by the Israeli police.

I’m not sure that Israel is a safe haven for anyone who isn’t an extreme Zionist.

Yes. This conflict has answered a lot of questions I've had my entire life about how the Holocaust was allowed to happen.

It's even worse in this day and age where people have so much information at their hands if only they'd look for it.

Please tell me you're not serious? If so, how sickening. Have we honestly stooped so low to compare the acts of violence and say ' well that's not as bad as the other ' as if it's somewhat preferable to have Hamas terrorists storm your home and take away your children to do God knows what with them? Whoever's ' side ' you're on in this conflict this sort of rhetoric is never acceptable. Please, I implore you, engage your brain.

@mnhq

I am confused about why my post was deleted. I was writing about the blame game here where it's repeated that Palestinians somehow are to blame for this by voting in Hamas, etc etc, and comparing it to how in the past people were historically maligned which led to the justification of horrors we have seen before us in wars and genocides. Please can you advise?

Please stop with this hateful speech. Tarring all Palestinians with the one brush like this is awful and dangerous.
