This question is not about whether they should or should not be. But if we are hearing all Palestinian voices - it’s so hard to tell from the media. I imagine there must be people who just want it all to stop and don’t think keeping the hostages is in ordinary Gazan’s interests, or who do not support their government but I haven’t heard any - it may well be that I’ve just missed it, but is it something that’s being under reported?

Lots of ethnic groups do not have a homeland but I am glad Israel exists and I support it. Lost of countries are made up of people from all kinds of origins (not least the Celts and Anglo Saxons and no doubt many others amongst the 67m of us in the UK).

Hamas may be regretting the day it started this but it will have to live with the consequences.

You are very dramatic and seem to speak in slogans only. I sincerely hope Israel will not be wiped out, and believe me, Palestine will be there, too - but maybe smaller. You just need to remember that this happened every time Israel got attacked, so maybe Arab countries should try to negotiate and live in peace rather than attack and deny Israel's existence.

The pro Palestinian supporters don't condemn Hamas they believe Palestine were backed into a corner and are justified for their actions no matter how barbaric.( freedom fighters). They want a ceasefire as Israel are too powerful and have the support from the majority of strong countries. If Palestine were wiping out Israel there would be no protests for a ceasefire or worrying about civilian casualties.

I'm not disputing this at all. But the fact remains that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who were actually physically living there, have been displaced in order to move in Jewish people who had never lived there. 20,000+ new Jewish immigrants arrive in Israel every year. In order to justify this you need to admit that the state of Israel is a racist, apartheid one. It eliminates one ethnicity in order to make space for the other.

The actions of world leaders and most populations after the October attacks say something entirely different.

The US president got on a plane and went to visit. The EU, and majority of countries in it, unreservedly backed Israel and it's right to defnd itself. As did most of the poopulations.

Your statement is really disturbing to me. It almost reads like people are being brain washed into this belief that nobody cares, against all rational analysis of what actually happened.

30 days later, two million displaced people, tens of thouands dead, air bombing campaign, ground invasion, no food, no water, NO WITNESSES, and YES - people start to turn away in disgust.

Because IT IS TOO MUCH.

Considering the scale of immigration of traumatized people from war zones the EU has done very well.

Are you aware of the huge resources being pumped into preventing home grown terrorists? The resources that went into fighting Isis, etc? There is a constant threat of Islamic extremism across Europe. There's nothing wrong with wanting to have a homeland for the Jewish people. But why does it have to be at the expense of another nation of people? Why do the Palestinian people need to suffer and be dispossessed?

When the Balfour Declaration was issued by the British Government in 1917 announcing support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine, it stated that "nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine". That was not respected, and here we are today.

I don't speak Arabic so I'm just hoping the translation is correct. It was shared by someone I know who does speak Arabic, which is why I feel it's worth sharing. Sorry if it turns out I'm wrong though.

There are people on both sides of this who want Hamas gone. Who recognise that they're hiding among civilians. Who recognise they're evil.

It's a shame the reporter stops interviewing him as soon as he expresses his hatred for Hamas. Unsurprising, but still a shame.
