What is the deal with the violence in West Bank ?

why does a mentally disabled child throwing stones deserve to be shot from 150 metres away ? The stones couldn’t have even reached them? They can’t possibly be fearing him, he is by himself, they are tons of them and they have cars and guns. How is this justifiable to all these people going on and on supporting a country where these things go on. How is this a country the west considers a democratic ally? How do these values reflect the values of the west?

I understand the outrage of parents wanting the hostages back but Fouads parents will never ever have him back.

Israel on Sunday said troops will remain in West Bank refugee camps in 2025, announcing expanded military operations including tank deployments.
“So far, 40,000 Palestinians have evacuated from the refugee camps of Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nur Shams, which are now empty of residents,” Defence Minister Israel Katz said in a statement.
“I have instructed (troops) to prepare for a prolonged presence in the cleared camps for the coming year and to prevent the return of residents and the resurgence of terrorism,” he added.
According to the United Nations, the Israeli offensive has so far killed at least 51 Palestinians, including seven children, and three Israeli soldiers, as well as displacing at least 40,000 people.

is this the same country that in the last years has been instructed to abandon the occupying territories??

It's just shocking

IDF Decides Not to Investigate Illegal Expulsion of Palestinian Families by Soldiers in West Bank

The army acknowledged that the soldiers violated procedures, but chose to settle for a reprimand and declined to explain why it decided not to investigate the incident. 'This is evidence of a culture that grants immunity to soldiers who harm Palestinians,' said Roni Peli of the Yesh Din organization.

The acts of the IDF and Netanyahu and his supporters are degrading to decent Israelis.

Haaretz:

WEST BANK: Israeli settlers threw stones at Palestinians in the South Hebron Hills in the West Bank, wounding a man and a woman. None of the settlers were arrested. An Israeli police officer who arrived at the scene detained one of the Palestinians who had been assaulted.

More despicable attacks from settlers allowed by idf

A group of settlers attacked the home of Hamdan Bilal, who directed the Oscar-winning film No Other Land with me. They beat him in the head and all over his body. While wounded and bleeding, soldiers entered the ambulance he had called and arrested him. He has since disappeared and it is unclear whether he is receiving medical treatment or what is happening to him.

How brazen. That is dreadful.

What sort of thing are the replies saying? That attack and arrest is wrong, or right?

Since 1967 until today, no such revolution has taken place in Judea and Samaria. I am now concluding an important tour of Judea and Samaria with my friends, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, in which we closely followed the uncompromising struggle against illegal Arab construction and settlement development. During the tour, we visited many areas in Judea and Samaria, including the communities of Kerem Reim and Sde Ephraim, which were recently recognized by the government. The Israeli government is working to develop settlements in Judea and Samaria and will not allow the rampant illegal Arab construction that has become a scourge of the state in recent decades. Our government has recognized 28 new settlements since its establishment. In addition, there is increased enforcement in places that were not previously enforced, such as the 918 Fire Area Agreement Reserve and other areas. In the past year, the record for the demolition of illegal Arab construction in Judea and Samaria was broken, but at the same time, we understand that in order to win this campaign, additional strategic tools must be used that will lead to the desired revolution. The settlers are not second-class citizens. The government will insist that they be entitled to security like all Israeli citizens. So the fact that we in the U.K. and US and a number of other countries consider the Israeli settlerments in the West Bank to be illegal, means absolutely nothing to them. Trump will no doubt back them up too.

As far as they are concerned all the land is theirs and the Arabs have no rights even though that is where Arabs have lived for tens of hundreds of years..

Basically they are invaders using their convenient interpretation of ‘God’s will’ to excuse their own greedy personal will and actions.

So it looks like a way to condone setter violence is to say that construction is considered “illegal” when in actuality the Palestinians are not allowed to rebuild their homes that have been destroyed and I’m assuming it’s due to needing some sort of planning permission 🤔.

Settlers destroyed their West Bank village, Israel forbids them from rebuilding it

For reference, this page quotes what Ahed Tamimi is alleged to have written online. It's really unpleasant, violently anti-Semitic stuff

https://www.thejc.com/news/israel/ahed-tamimi-arrested-after-slaughter-the-jews-post-on-instagram-5s4vbbp03o7ZAtrZljV64N

(Of course even if she did write these things she deserves to have a fair trial and not to be mistreated in custody.)

"Our message to the flocks of settlers, we are waiting for you in all the cities of the West Bank. From Hebron to Jenin, we will slaughter you, and you will say that what Hitler did to you is a joke,” said Tamimi in an Instagram post.
“We will drink your blood and eat your skull. Come on, we’re waiting for you,” the post continued." Pretty disgusting comments and support for terrorists.

Inciting terrorism with her Instagram posts to over 100,000 plus followers is arrest worthy. A fair trial after arrest is what's needed.
