Israel has bombed the gates of the Al Shalha hospital.

Everyone knows displaced families are sheltering in and near hospitals.

We have a better shot of getting some truth out of those than almost any other media outlet at the moment besides Chanel 4.

We are living in a moment of extreme censorship.

That’s why civilians are dying. If they wanted to they could confront the IDF directly, and die. And civilians would not. But they won’t, because they know they’ll lose. So they put civilians in harms way. That’s their strategy.

Genuinely confused about this one, EnoughIsay. It's perfectly true to say Israel are controlling/limiting which journalists can enter Gaza and that they can't guarantee their safety once there, but not that they're refusing to let anyone in

Except prior to the October attacks the IDF weren’t. The IDF are pursuing Hamas leaders, who are perfectly happy to sacrifice Palestinian civilians as their human shields. Hamas commanders are the cowardly scum here who strike and then melt back into the civilian population they refuse to let evacuate through the Egyptian border. Because if there were no civilian shields, they know they’d be dead in days. It has historically been the IDFs restraint and Israel’s hesitancy in killing civilians that has allowed them to survive this long. Except now 1,200+ Israeli civilians were brutally targeted, raped, kidnapped and murdered. So they aren’t holding back on their targets this time. If you say you’d do it differently, then I think you’re probably lying.

The same as the US did.
The same as Britain did.
The same as Russia did.
The same as every force who has had to face guerrilla tactics has done.

Its what has made Russias actions in Ukraine so exceptionally bad- they’re striking civilian targets against a conventional force. There is a Ukrainian defence force, and it has legitimate military targets, and yet Russia continues to strike civilian targets. That’s the biggest shock about the Ukraine conflict.

Whats happening in Gaza is the consequence of the war that Hamas are choosing to pursue.

Press that are going in now can only go embedded with the IDF. All material for broadcast has to go trough IDF approval. They cannot communicate with Palestininas.

We have seen this before with the Americans in Iraq. What we found after was the torture chambers, the renditions, all sorts of atrocities, commited BY Americans.

I wasn't the one who brought up "white European" so don't try and put that on me thanks very much.

Israelis are a mixture of Jewish people of Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews as well as some smaller groups, then a large number of Israeli Arabs and again smaller groups like Bedouin. Suggesting it is a majority white European country is beyond ridiculous.

It's very difficult to try to reason with some people. In their eyes Israel and the IDF can absolutely do no wrong in this war. And if they do then that's tough and war is ugly. There is no accountability for the IDF. Not prior to the war and not now.

@Hiddenmnetter I would call the police and I would expect them to deal with it. I would expect them to try their best to get my children back. I certainly wouldn't be expecting them to blow up all the other children in the neighbourhood to get my children back. No reasonable person would expect that.
