That didn't really answer my question. You said they were fighting back. But they didn't attack the IDF or the Israeli government, they attacked civilians, including children. So what did they do, their victims specifically, that they were fighting back against? Some of the people who died or were captured may not even have been Israeli citizens.
If someone was upset with the actions of the UK government (or the government of whatever country you're in) would you think they were "breaking free" or "defending themselves" if they attacked you or your family?
