Hamas want us dead. What are we supposed to do?

The rest of the Western world is next. Britain, America. Islamic Jihad/Hamas want us all dead.

it’s this type of insular thinking that’s got us where we are today.

Palestinians don’t hate Jews. Palestinians hate Israel because it is oppressing them. Unfortunately, a significant proportion of people who support Israel and its oppression of Palestinians are also Jews. Some are not. what drives the hatred isn’t religion. It’s the acts of the Israeli state in the name of a Jewish homeland which comes at the expense and misery of other people.

there are plenty of brave Religious and secular Jews who are protesting for Palestinian rights. They are much admired and respected amongst the Palestinian and wider Arab communities, both Muslim and Christian.

Palestinians should not conflate all Jews with supporting Israel in the same way that Israelis or Jews should not conflate all Palestinians with terrorists or Hamas. As much as people want to pit this as a religious conflict to suit their agendas, it’s really not.

The trucks are coming through via the Rafah crossing point in Egypt. The Israelis have zero presence in Rafah it's the Gaza / Egypt border point.

It is the Egyptians checking the trucks to make sure no weapons are being smuggled in or out as they have consistently been doing since 2012 (after terrorists based in Gaza attacked Egyptians in Northern Sinai.)

Egypt's Foreign Ministry said on Saturday "Israeli obstacles" including truck inspection procedures were impeding the prompt delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing between Egypt and the Palestinian enclave.
"The trucks must be inspected at the Israeli Nitzana crossing before they head to the Rafah crossing on a journey that takes a distance of 100 km (62 miles) before they actually enter the Rafah crossing, which causes obstacles that significantly delay the arrival of aid," a ministry spokesperson said in a statement.

Tiny children including babies are supporting the terrorists action?

The BBC reported that Qatar was in the end stages of brokering a deal for their release and then Israel launched the ground invasion.

wake up - Netanyahu doesn’t care about the hostages.

Post from 11:23 today on the BBC live stream:

In the last few days I’ve spoken to sources in Qatar who are working on negotiations between Israel and Hamas. They said they had been close to a deal on hostages being held in Gaza. One contact said to me they had done all the hard stuff. They were dotting I’s and crossing T’s when Israel started the ground invasion.

Israel’s position is even though there are 240 hostages, they don’t want to give Hamas any sort of impunity or type of reward for what they’ve done.
^^
We’ve heard from Israeli government spokespeople who say force and strength is the only way to get Hamas to release the hostages.

My working assumption at this point is that Netanyahu does not want the hostages released as doing so would weaken justification for the ongoing conflict. That's the only explanation I have for the invasion being launched then, just as, if the BBC report is correct, a deal on the hostages was almost there.

You need to get a grip on reality. That or see a GP for your paranoia. There are no excuses in the world for was is happening right now. Is it ok for a Palestinian father to carry the remains of his children in a plastic bag, for a baby to be born of a dead mother, for a little girl bloodied and shaking in terror, for people to listen to the screams of other under rubble and to be powerless to help? The Israeli government are creating now the terrorists of tomorrow.

And don't forget the women, who apparently have no power, autonomy or say in their lives if they live under Islamic rule - according to the islamophobic genocide apologists that is.

C'mon, which is it then? Helpless subjugated women or evil female Hamas members who have trained their toddlers to kill Israeli forces by throwing grenades wrapped in nappies? 🙄 ffs

More and more people speaking up
Bolivia breaks ties with Israel

Why is Israeli bombing refugee camps in Gaza?
ismu · 31/10/2023 20:18

Netanyahu obviously doesn't care about the hostages. The offer of ceasefire and hostage exchange was made days ago. The ceasefire is consistently refused as "Hamas will use it as an excuse to rearm". It's fine for Israel to rearm though and drop bombs on hostages and civilian targets.
This has gone beyond revenge and self defence. It needs to stop now. Why can't UN peacekeepers go in to Gaza to prevent Hamas from attacking? We used to do that. Now we seem to be happy with children dying.

That's not true, Israelis were on the ground with the UN checking the trucks. They have full control of the Raffah crossing, if Egypt doesn't play ball they will bomb it.

Please do not conflate Israeli citizens with its government
Likewise with Jewish people and the Israeli government

The Government is to blame in this
There are many civilians who are also against the murder of innocent people in Gaza

Why is Israeli bombing refugee camps in Gaza?

Dont try and start an argument with me to try to get arsey

Clearly not, it goes without saying Im obviously not talking about tiny children or babies so your point is moot.

Children as young as pre teen are often used and often have developed beliefs which will lead them to get involved.

Do you think someone just gets to 18 and suddenly decides to go down to the Hamas recruiting office out of the blue?

Auvergne63 · 31/10/2023 20:25

eardefender · 31/10/2023 19:26

From Israel's POV they warned civilians to get out, the part of the camp they hit was being used as a military base. Hamas attack Israel, Israel go to war to eliminate hamas so they don't attack again. They hit targets. Hamas cover them with civilians. Hamas refuse to surrender and wont give back hostages.

It is so sad and awful but Israel is not breaking any laws here. You may not like or agree with the laws but Israel is not breaking any.

I actually really do blame Hamas for all of this. The rest of the blame lies in any policies that allowed hamas to become so embedded in Gaza that to root them out now means killing thousands of civilians.

I think you need to inform the UN that Israel is acting within the laws. They seem to disagree with you as are many, many lawyers. human right organisations and the list goes on.

Because Israel wants genocide Palestinians.
I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but I’m suprised there is even one person left who hasn’t figured this out yet.
I get there are people who want and support this (MN is full of these people. For some strange reason) but surely you must have seen and heard by now how Israeli goverment has out loud said they want Palestinians gone?

So do people think the initial attack by Hamas was actually an Israeli false flag attack ?

bellac11 · 31/10/2023 20:27

And let's not forget that Israel is the only democracy in the region but the Palestinians deserve their fate because they democratically elected Hamas.

Which is it?

It's almost like the people blaming Palestinians for voting for Hamas know there haven't been elections for years and that Hamas took power by force after a civil war in which they murdered members of Fatah.

ChaoticCrumble · 31/10/2023 20:33

I just imagine, how would I feel if I was a child in gaza? What would I grow up thinking? (About Israel, not about jewish people).

What would I think about the world that didn't condemn or stop it?

Got it, so babies and tiny children not Hamas. 11/12/13 years are pre-Hamas groomed therefore legitimate to blow them up.

is that the right genocide math ?

Why is there the need to be so aggressive to me

I have not said, and I dont believe its a brilliant plan

I merely pointed out the flawed assumption that 'women and children' are completely separate to Hamas

I suggest if you're not able to engage in reasonable discourse without putting words and intent in peoples mouths and being hostile, then leave the thread.

The vast majority of posters are able to have discussion without being rude and trying to start angry arguments out of nothing. Try it.

cakeorwine · 31/10/2023 20:42

I think that using your military to bomb refugee camps because you are targetting a commander is a guaranteed way to create future enemies and make your country even more of a target than it already is.
