Its horrific, but lets wait until the details are verified before we start chucking around blame - remember the hospital, Isreal was blamed, it turned out to be a missile from within gaza

Wait for confirmation. There is a propaganda war. Yesterday Israel reported having rescued a female IDF soldier. They also reported they found the head of Shani Louk who had been raped, paraded, spat on. This was after Hamas said she was in hospital with a head injury. This all made Hamas look awful (could they look any worse). When i saw this news it was with skepticism, hence the wait and see approach. This could easily be another stray Hamas missile.

Hamas are widely known to hide behind civilians and operate from hospitals, schools etc so this could have been a military target that Hamas sadly smother with civilians to protect it.

Hamas have also apparently been preventing civilians from leaving the northern strip after Israel repeatedly warned of air and land attacks and told them to go south 2 weeks ago. Hamas need those bodies to stay over the tunnels and around the military targets.

Whatever the truth is Hamas can end this now. They can surrender, hand over the hostages. Israel withdraws. Aid goes in. They can save their own people now, but they don't.

The fact their willing to bribe Egypt to get rid says a lot. Many Palestinians have been saying they’ve been desperate to dump them in the desert so they’ll be out of sight. That also explains why most Palestinians refuse to leave.

The origin of that missile is unconfirmed but there are a few things the consider.

Official Israeli SM accounts posted two videos, at different times, claiming to prove that the attack was a failed missile from within Gaza. In one video the time stamp showed the footage was recorded AFTER the attack, the other video was proved to be from 2022, neither video had any sound. Both were quickly taken down when the errors were identified by SM users.

The IDF then released a recording of a conversation which allegedly took place between two Hamas fighters where they admitted they were responsible. The audio was analysed and I have yet to see anyone report that they thought it was genuine but there are many detailed analyses providing evidence that it was fake.

Many missiles go astray in Gaza and yet we have never heard of one causing so many casualties before.

The hospital in question had been warned to evacuate several times.

Someone who works for Netanyahu's digital media team tweeted about the attack and claimed the IDF was responsible but quickly took the tweet down claiming that they had made a mistake by repeating what had been reported but Reuters, except Reuters had not reported on the attack by the time of the original tweet.

Why would the IDF go to such lengths to fabricate evidence of they had nothing to do with the attack on the hospital?

More to the point, why is the world sitting back and allowing this to happen?

My understanding is the Israeli government told people to leave the refugee camp area as it wouldn't be safe to stay. They are trying to destroy Hamas tunnels which are underneath. Same with the hospital that they keep telling the Palestinians to vacate.

Some people have nowhere to go
Some people have ill and elderly and disabled living with them and cannot take them with them
It's a horrendous situation

There have been terrible atrocities on both sides in my view, but I think the circumstances of the bombed hospital are as confirmed as they're likely to be
