Golly it has been quiet over the last few days, hope everyone's okay.

boodle - lovely to hear from you honey, and glad all is well. Won't be long now, eh?

cheepz - am envious of your working days! And hurrah that there is light at the end of the moving house tunnel.

barren - glad you're alright, missus x

I'm on D9 and gearing up for a 'busy' start to next week by cracking open the cough syrup. Rock and roll.

Viv - fingers crossed that the 'busy week' is sucessful. Did you start temp charting this month in the end?

I POAS this morning - funnily enough at 9DPO it was negative :-( . In my defence, FF changed its mind about when I ov'd - moved from day 9 to day 14, so thought that if it had been right originally, then it wouldn't be too early to test (despite having no symptoms and always thinking the earlier date was wrong). Have resolved to be less obsessed now and won't test again for another day week

Hope everyone else is doing ok

VivClicquot · 08/07/2010 11:06

Yes, albeit I only started charting at the beginning of this week. Temps have been up, down and all over the place so I'm already concerned it may not be for me! But I'll stick with it for the rest of this cycle and see how it looks at the end.

Keeping everything crossed for you goldilocks x

VivClicquot · 08/07/2010 11:10

Oh Christ. A woman's just walked into our office, showing off her newborn baby who was due the same week as Gracie was.

beats a hasty retreat to the loos

Afternoon all,

Viv hun hope you are ok x

northern you are brave to test I am too scared to test even when I am late! Not sure where I am DPO, pretty sure I ov'ed 2 days early so could be DPO12 or 10.........have had some symptoms which I know I didn't get last month when was on a ban for the month and I know they are not in my head as I have been going to bed at 9 and I am so tired my legs are like lead for the last 2 days and it's not like I'm not sleeping either......I know something is going on but just whether it decides to stick.......

hairy I hope you got a referral.

boodleboot Its lovely to see people pop in with their news and successes! Helps keep the positive vibe up

northerngoldilocks · 08/07/2010 14:47

magic - i'm not brave - just an impatient control freak! Early testing doesn't pay - won't make you any more or less pregnant so I'm not sure what I'm trying to achieve. In a 'do as I say, not as I do' way, you're better not to test until your period is overdue.

Viv - hope you're doing ok - its so hard. Not sure what to say really, I always feel like I'm being mean- its not like I'm not happy for people, I just feel sad that things didn't work out for me. Can't even imagine what its like for you though.

digitalgirl · 08/07/2010 15:13

viv [hugs]

I never worked out what my first mc due date was as I was waiting for a scan to date it, I think it was around July/August. But I'd worked out the 2nd one and have two friends due around that time. Obviously am hoping to be pg by the time they're little ones are born. Weirdly I'm more mourning the loss of shared
maternity leave. Am sure if that time rolls around and I'm still ttc the feelings will be very different.

This luteal phase feels different to last cycle's luteal phase. And that's all I have to say about it. Am not symptom spotting at 3dpo. That would be ridiculous (am craving burger and chips, really quite tired and seem to be getting travel sick quite easily*)

magic8 so when do you think you'll test?

northerng shall I just pass you the haddock and you can sort yourself out?

*logic points to an iron deficiency

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 08/07/2010 15:46

Dig we know when things are different and I don't think it's in our heads.......I can't stop thinking about avocados Will test when I am late.......with DD1&2 I was 5 weeks when I tested as never took one bit of notice of cycle days bla bla just knew roughly when I was due on.......only since losing DD2 and then MMC have I been aware........Also I almost burst into tears at music at beginning of Finding Nemo a minute ago...........HADDOCK PLEASE!!!!!!!

VivClicquot · 08/07/2010 15:49

Thanks guys - I'm fine. I went and had an extra long wee and then sloped back to my desk, which was both out of earshot and view from where she was.

Her son is beautiful - truly gorgeous - but I couldn't help but think, "Oh THAT'S how big Gracie would have been by now". Sigh.

Still, I'm happy to be chief haddock keeper for you lot, to take my mind off it?

Right. Who's first?

VivClicquot · 08/07/2010 15:52

Cross post.

Right magic8

Avocado? Rank. You deserve this for that alone...

Julia1969 · 08/07/2010 17:08

Hello all,

I've still been lurking and keeping up but have had a mountain of poo to deal with at work and it's been a proper f@*ing nightmare (an is tsill ongoing actually) so posting on MN and trying to get upduffed went AWOL with me.

Anyhoo hope I am still allowed to come in and play.....? Although it's been quite quiet on here the last few days there've been some fab BFPs coming up, huh?! Congrats to all.

Hairy briefly bumped into you on another thread so 'Hi' .

Back on the dreaded 2WW now and pathetically symptom spotting - 'ooh a runny nose, I better google it'.

Pass the fish.

delilahbelle · 08/07/2010 17:41

Hoorah

Sorry, havn't been around much, thanks for the welcome a while ago

Just got back from doctors, pregnancy test at negative, entirely stopped bleeding, cleared to ttc Although he did say wait until after RTD for dating purposes - ha, like that's going to happen.

So I'm hoping to OV at some point soon, going to start weeing on OV detections sticks - any advice on the best time of day, or is first thing in the morning OK?

PS - What's this fish thing?

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 08/07/2010 18:11

Hi Delilah not sure about the sticks as no experience but from what I have read from the girls on here its the first pee of the day!

Mr Haddock is for slapping us crazy birds round the chops to bring us to our senses when we (or I) are symptom spotting from 1DPO!

Julia1969 · 08/07/2010 18:23

Hi Delilah,

CD 18 for me and I'm imagining all sorts of preggers symptoms so need a slap around the mush with our fishy friend!

I've never managed to get the OPK tests to work for me but seeing as I was pregnant (and MC) last year I do/did ovulate. Some women seem to think that actually you get a better result of you test late afternoon and that reducing your liquid intake after lunch and then testing having NOT had a pee for at least two hours is the best way to get a result (still didn't work for me!. The POAS website though gives a good insite into how tricky it can be to detect a LH surge though with a day-by-day account of OPK tests.

HTH

Moofold · 08/07/2010 19:04

Hi everyone. Huge big hug for Viv - you're doing really well. My friend's little boy was born 3 weeks before my due date and I'm going to see him soon. I've been thinking about how he will always remind me of our bean but in a way its not so bad - but I think that's because she's a close mate. I notice I was right about Danni Minogue being due same time as me!

8s quietly optimistic for you - everything crossed pal.

On the opk subject - I used them before CBFM and got positives each month. I used to limit fluids in afternoon at work then POAS when I got home.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 08/07/2010 19:58

Thanks Moof

Viv hope you are doing ok now hun. xx Totally know how you feel. I see my mates gorgeous DD every day who would have been the same age as DD2. Gutted they never got to be playmates.

On that note I think it's Pimms o clock?!?!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 08/07/2010 20:21

Sorry to keep up the suspense for all this time, have had some manic days. POAS was BFN again on tuesday morning, wednesday I had about 4 spots of pink blood but nothing since. Nothing at all. ?????

On a happy note: We spontaneously set a wedding date, booked the registry office and reception venue AND ARE GETTING MARRIED IN 5 WEEKS!!!!

Julia1969 · 08/07/2010 20:29

Wowee Ivy that's fantastic - congrats! So romantic!

Hey Ivy congrats - and commiserations all at the same time. That's brilliant news about your forthcoming nuptuals!

Back to the opks I swear by Tescos cheapies - about a fiver a pack. I got no results with the CB opks which were about 4 times the price but the cheapies from tesco worked every time.

Cheers 8s, have one for me Night Loopy - you must be tired! That would have prompted symptom spotting had you been elsewhere in your cycle.....

MrsPretty what are you up to these last few days?

VivClicquot · 08/07/2010 21:06

See, I swear by the Clearblue Digital OPKs - but only ever with mid-afternoon / early evening pee. On the months when I had a few spare and was also using the CBFM, I always got the smiley face the day before my first peak on the monitor - which makes emminent sense, but also reassured me that things were working as they should.

As an aside, in cough medicine watch, it's definitely, ahem, loosening all fluid as I've got a very runny nose and the CM has already started. Which is nice.

ivy - what lovely news about the wedding! How exciting!

Cheepz · 08/07/2010 21:21

viv thats crapola for you - glad you appear to have handled in grand style - glad i ma moving jobs as my best friend at work due two weeks before i would have been with number 3mc (and 2 weeks after when I would have been with number 2 mc) is getting bigger and bigger by the minute - console myself that she has piled on the pounds and is going to take forever to get it all off but still her baby will be born slap in the middle of my miscarriage due date season (mid sept to mid oct) already passed mc1 due date in march and was ok - because I was bloody pregnant at that point - but now more ... what sort of friend am i being happy that friend will have post baby weight loss battle - petty petty - but then having mcs does wierd things to your mind

boo hollers howdy and gives a big wave - miss you too honey - you were there through the barren spell from mc1 to mc2 where i was in big dispair and love you for it - so glad you guys over there are all blooming now after all the angst

barrenb have been lurking abit more lately because have no time at all to do much but fret about move

on that we found out today the bottom of the chain buyer has transferred deposit money to their solicitor so as long as they give the go ahead tomorrow and all the solicitors can call each other we should exchange tomorrow - with completion date of 30th july ... will be sooooooooo thrilled if that all comes together

ivy hooooge congrats to you on pending nuptials thats lovely news

8s right weather for it although long island ice tea was my beverage of choice since we popped out with ds for early dinner tonight

righty am hot an knackered so cool shower and bed - at least i have tomorrow with DS - pedicure, lunch with mum and tea with friend who has kids ds can play with - should keep my mind of the feckin house move for a day!
