sorry ladies that it hasn't been your month, and glad you are feeling positive battery x

Viv still holding out, bits and pieces crossed in a twister like fashion x

northerngoldilocks · 28/06/2010 15:42

Feeling confused /unable to concentrate so its time for a 'me' post.

When I found out about my mmc back in March I also found out that I had a dermoid cyst. Have since been back to have it rescanned and its still the same size - about 6cm (ie between 5-6 but 6 at biggest bit). The consultant who did the scan said that it was up to me as it wasn't causing pain and I thought that I was happy with my decision to leave things.

Today I went back to the consultant who referred me who assumed that I'd want it removing and said that was her advice. I explained that I wanted to leave it as was concerned about(addmittedly v small) risk of something going wrong with the surgery esp as its causing me no pain and I wouldn't have found out if it wasn't for the mc. She said that if it twisted during pregnancy I'd have to have surgery then and that would be increased risk for the baby - would I be willing to take that risk etc. Now wondering if I've made the right decision. I'm not pregnant yet but would obviously very much like to be, but wondering whether I'm being stupid about this. Its so hard to know what to do. If it goes well it could all be over and could try again straight over without worrying about it any more.

Anyone got and advice / experience / thoughts? Maybe will wait to see if I manage to get pregnant this month and then reassess?

I think waiting and reassessing sounds like a good idea goldilocks. Sounds like you're undecided and better to take some time to think about it rather than get pushed into doing something you're not sure about.

dorcas111 · 28/06/2010 16:50

Hi everyone, just popping in to say hello. I've not been round for a while as things have been very busy and I've been feeling a bit grim too. The bean is hanging on in there though which is all that matters.
Fantastic to see so many BFPs! Congratulations everyone- Muser, Jollster, Bunder and Moofold, I'm absolutely delighted for you and sending you lots of sticky vibes.

sorry to see so many back to CD1

Feeling the most barely perceptible cramping today...which hopefully means a little eggy is thinking about hatching sometime this week. Glad I bought a job lot of internet cheapie OPKs for this month or I'd be thinking that last week was when it happened.

Have also been given my PCOS friend's unused CBD OPKs. She bought one pack of 20 and used 8, then got diffed. Hoping that means it's a lucky pack.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 28/06/2010 18:26

hiya guys, just a quick one from me.. congrats to any BFPs I missed (moofold?)!

I'm on CD25, according to peesticks and FF 11DPO, but I don't feel anything. No RTD signs, no pg signs.. who knows?

clareanna · 28/06/2010 18:57

moof!!!! how did I miss that news withy excellent lurking skills?! Omg- am thrilled for you!!! Come to the grads thread and worry obsessively share your thoughts with us x

northern hmmm tricky one, as per our previous chats I've been doing some research into dermoid cysts. FWIW if I wasn't pg I would want it removed - it has given me a bit of pain during early stages which scared me witless and led me to thinking it was ectopic. Also I personally don't like the thought of having something that could potentially turn nasty (although only in 2% of cases) in my body for one second longer than I have to- but it's your body and yOur choice and only you know what's right for you. Good luck x

Moofold · 28/06/2010 19:14

Viv, holding out hope for you yet - sorry to everyone else that's been gotten by RTD. Good to see lots of positive comments though in the face of adversity.

Thanks Ivy, Dorcas and Clare. Clare I'm not ready for the other thread yet, I'm too feart! I've asked WYG to keep me a seat though - will be good to see you all over there. Also, I have grown so attached to this thread and the lovely lassies I can't imagine not being here anymore!

I think I am needing the haddock treatment because I have this horrible sense of foreboding due to lack of symptoms and just can't give myself over to this yet. No sore boobs yet, I can't believe I am willing myself to feel sick! I DEMAND some morning sickness or something to make me relax a bit. I did a CB digi yesterday which said 1-2 weeks though...

I forgot to mention before, not sure if this has anything to do with the BFP or not. However, this month was the first time we used pre-seed. It may or may not be a coincidence but thought I would mention just in case.

Well done Muser and Jolls for making that move to the grads! BU, are you ready yet now you are feeling sick as a pig?

BUnderTheBonnet · 28/06/2010 20:16

Go on then! I did the same as Msuer and did a CBD which had also gone up to 2-3 weeks. Phew. Still a bit sickly

tigger15 · 28/06/2010 23:23

Hi sarahmia

I've just been dipping and not properly reading this thread for a while owing to many factors (being the person on here with the longest unsuccessful streak is a dubious distinction) and I think I was on an off bit when you joined and looking back at your posts I see you're frum too (the Eilat bit in your last post was the reason for the looking).

First of all I'm very sorry for your loss. I see from your posts that it was quite recent. I don't know if you've come across this website but it is worth checking out for all the different things not always covered in mainstream sites. www.jewishpregnancyloss.org/

The thing I posted yesterday was from the Chana magazine and I'd really recommend you get a copy. It's very good. If you feel the need to talk I'd also recommend calling them. I know they are an infertility organisation (which put me off calling them until I was over a year trying) but they are very helpful and miscarriage is part of their remit too.

I hope you don't have need for any of this and your feelings are good. Also if you want to CAT me about anything that you don't want to talk about to the whole thread (no offence to everyone), please feel free to.

Hopefully · 29/06/2010 06:45

Morning everyone!

Sarahmia fingers crossed that you've got pg symptoms rather than RTD.

Goldilocks I would see if you're PG this month and then decide. It gives you the time to think about it properly, and if you're PG, then it was clearly meant to be!

Feeling relatively positive today. Tempting and turning on my CBFM (despite the fact it doesn't want me to POAS yet) makes me feel like I'm actually doing something towards getting pregnant (apart from SWI, obv). Really hope it all pays off this month.

Going camping this weekend, so will have to SWI very quietly to avoid waking DS in the next nylon compartment! Also checking out wedding venues - amusingly, we're planning Sept '11 for a wedding. Originally that meant we'd have DS and a 1 yr old. Now we'll be lucky if we've got a 5 month old. Eeek!

VivClicquot · 29/06/2010 09:11

moo - funny what you said about PreSeed. I used it last month for the first time too and as you know, I'm convinced something happened but for whatever reason, it didn't stick.

Had a really good chat with my colleague yesterday - one of her best friends (who is a GP) spent a good year or so without conceiving, and in the end resorted to taking cough medicine in the run up to ovulation. She fell pg the first time she used it, and now discretely recommends it to patients of hers that are in a similar boat!

I'd seen stories that there's an active ingredient in there which helps thin the cm, so I might give that a whirl this month.

(That said, still no RTD - albeit I'm still spotting a bit. Sigh)

xxx

ps - morning all! x

lucysnowe · 29/06/2010 09:59

viv and moo yes we we used preseed the first time round and ended up with DD! Now using a similar (cheaper) one, can't remember what it's called though.

magic lol it feels like CD120! Should be my long-awaited """""window""""" now but no EWCM so am going to wait a while longer. Temps still now. I am actually CD22 today so hope this is all right:

Cheepz · 29/06/2010 12:21

congratulates moof sorry hun been sooooo busy with the painful stress mountain that is trying to exchange on house - still haven't yet - missed your BFP

no way am trying this cycle as theres just too much going on and my cortisol levels are through the roof!! am sure i am not providing a nice mellow baby nurturing womb more of a hostile stress filled tense warzone of a womb which will nuke any potential empbryo with frequent adrenaline surges

my heads a mess too so need to get to august before we have enough things settled and are in new house (fingers crossed) before its time

viv missed you hun - nice to see you back - at this rate i will be in the knitting and gin corner too, oh and know what you mean about FB - also have friend with the sort of status updates which make you want to defriend examples 'there is no sound better than the first heartbeat' or ' so it seems we can only make boys' or 'its so wonderful to know theres a little brother in there for x' - wondered whether I should update with 'what do you say when your three year old looks at you and says - mummy our baby has gone hasn't it'

Oh sweetheart

So, popped in to see my GP this morning to talk in more detail about my day 21 and day 3 bloodwork. Before I went away, I was told over the phone that the results were normal but nothing more than that.

On my day 3 bloods, the FSH levels were around 7 but the lh levels were 3.5. Theoretically, all within the normal range. However, I understand the ratio ought to be 1:1 and that's more like two to one.

Googling seems to suggest that if your lh levels are double your FSH levels, then that's a sign of PCOS. However, mine are the other way around. The GP didn't seem to think it's an issue but said he would double check... Oh, and he's referring me for scans and stuff but only because that's the next logical step for an investigation - not because he necessarily thinks anything is wrong.

Yay, yay, yay, who cares that England are out of the world cup because I've just counted 3, yes 3 BFPs on my return from lovely roadtrip
Congrats Jolls, Muser and Bunder - blardly brilliant

Also, one other piece of news - I can join the list - got RTD on Sunday so my wait is up

I'll be back later this week to catch up properly
but here's a zen like ummmm for Cheepz to help with the stresses of house moving - I hear you girl

Sorry I haven't got time to catch up properly so just scanned the list, so big waves to everyone else

afternoon all

Cheepz bless I just shed a tear on your last note, I know exactly what you mean....DD told me and DH at the weekend that she is going to have a sister when she is old enough (she is almost 4). If you ever need it there is a great book called Goodbye Baby which I have but am keeping for the moment - probably when my sister tells DD she is upduffed - cue "where did your baby go mummy"?!?!

Am keeping my fingers crossed for your exchange x

Viv ?? about cough medicine ?? I am about to google. Still twister like for you......have pins and needles. I had a good old guzzle on the grapefruit juice.....any other foodie tips as I step onto the longest 2 weeks of my life wait

Well done lucy with the list.

Glad you are feeling positive Hopefully happy camping and wedding planning - exciting!

Fingers crossed Sarahmia and Digit I hope you hatched x

Good to see you all graduate ladies!! and a big wave to all yous with little buns, glad to see your are feeling pat and mick!
