Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

Congrats, Moo! It does feel odd at first doesn't it? Come and join us on the grads thread when you feel up to it!

Hopefully · 26/06/2010 20:50

I think AF has finally arrived! Am not particularly downhearted about it as, despite my teeny glimmer of hope, I knew there was no real chance after the one million BFNs I got over the past couple of days. Still only light spotting, will make tomorrow CD1 if bleeding starts in earnest overnight.

As others have said, it's nice to at least have the (fairly pathetic) reassurance that my body is working as it should, and I'm hoping that the fertility monitor/thermometer do their jobs this month

Prettyvuvu sorry you had such a crappo time in work. Keep clinging onto the 'who will be happier in five years?' thought.

VivClicquot · 26/06/2010 21:01

Awww congrats moo, that's lovely news. Am really pleased for you missus. xxx

PrettyVuvu - sounds like you've had a tough time of it doll. Sending you lots of love xx

magic - hiya gorgeous x

Hi everyone else, and welcome to the lovely newbies. Also hope all the newly upduffed are doing well and feeling more positive with every day x

Am back and with a minor case of post-holiday comedown.

hopefully, my lovely cycle buddy, I'm here to hold your hand, babe. I fear I'm going to join you as we embark on cycle eight. Sigh. Although I'm also prepared to take one for the team and say it's not over til it's over.

I know what barrenbrook means, and it's bloody hard - like I've been here forever and while we've seen some lovely ladies come and graduate, I fear I'm going to end up like the mad old bat in the corner who smells of gin and who knits odd socks.

So in the interests of being totally memememememe, here are some things that are also playing on my mind:

  1. Cycle-wise, I'm either 10 or 11 dpo and very unusually for me, have been having cramping on and off all day. (I never get period pains) but have just noticed some pinky cm on my knicks and in Viv-land, we all know what that means...
  1. I have a sneaking suspicion my sil is upduffed due to random facebook statuses...
  1. Speaking of FB, an acquaintance of mine has recently announced she's pg with her second baby and every. single. fucking. status update is about the pregnancy. So in the spirit of 'Facebook statuses you wished you could write but simply don't have the bollocks to", I'd like to say, "Katy thinks that in her experience, a 'difficult second pregnancy' is one where you are faced with the decision over whether to terminate after you discover your baby girl won't survive to term - not one where you're just puking up your ring a bit more than usual'
  1. Friday will make one year to the day that we had the scan where we discovered I'd had a mmc.

All of which is pretty rubbish, quite frankly. Still, it's my birthday next Sunday, so y'know, I'm hoping the birthday fairy will bless me with an iPad. Oh - and I've made a pact with DH that there's no way a higher being would bless us with both being pg AND England winning the world cup, so if I'm not upduffed, then I'd put your money on an England vs Brazil final...

Lots of love and promises that I'll be less of a grumpy cow next week..

Viv xxxx

randomimposter · 27/06/2010 07:32

viv really lovely to see you, (understandably) grumpy or not!
hopefully sorry to hear that, but at least you're moving forward.

Quick post as DS wants to do everything he shouldn't... what's dark, pink and came up immediately? Yes, POAS this morning and MUCH stronger and darker than Tuesday's. So after all my gusset offerings things look a bit brighter (though I'm not counting any chickens (or coos as DS calls them)). Tarra for now.

Big x to all.

tigger15 · 27/06/2010 08:31

Hi just got back from Cornwall. We had a great holiday and I wish it could have been 2 weeks. If anyone wants to go to St Ives I found a really great self catering flat. Only bad spot was RTD coming on wednesday so I'm now on CD5 of the next one and here's the new list.

Viv my mmc was probably diagnosed about 2 weeks ago a year ago because I spent last summer holiday hoping it was coming out naturally and the Monday of my return having it confirmed that it didn't.

At the moment I have decided to go with a que sera attitude to everything. Whatever will be will be, I have made all effort I possibly can and now it is not in my hands so I must just concentrate on all other things in my life like finding a new job, new childcare for September when ds starts school, looking for a new house to buy or rent. All fine until the next person I know tells me they're pg(unless it's my best friend who has primary infertility and has been trying for nearly 3 years now and I would be delighted for her).

We have a great communal organisation for infertility, given I belong to a religion which prioritises larges families and having lots of children, and they produce a magazine every couple of years. The latest one came out last week and had an article from a volunteer who did not suffer from infertility and was saying how she thought initially she was helping others by volunteering but how much she received from doing this. When she became pg with no. 4 she described how unlike her previous pgs she appreciated every part and did not complain about twinges, sickness as every ache and pain became a milestone and a gift to treasure. When the baby was born she said it was so much easier to get up for him when he cried as she had really got the motto of "it's hard when they cry at night-it's harder when they don't" stuck firmly in her head. Saying which not everyone is that sensitive although so far people are treading carefully around me most of the time because it's assumed you have a problem if your child is over 3 and there is not another one. Well except for the few who think I'm a heartless career woman who's obviously putting off having any more to further her career.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks everyone for your wishes, the support from you all is amazing. I've been on this thread for 6 months now after my MMC in December and I can honestly say I don't know how I would have got through it without you. Especially those who have been there since the start. I wish you could all get your BFPs this instant, you've all been through so much but stay so strong.

Hopefully, so sorry this isn't your month too but its good to see you being upbeat about it. It will be all systems go this cycle with your temping and CBFM!!

Jollster fab news!! Know what you mean about counting chickens but that's bound to make you more at ease.

BU glad to hear you are sick as a pig! I'm actually looking forward to that now as I'm still feeling a bit symptomless. What Tigger posted above resonates strongly and I know I will not take anything for granted if this wee bean sticks around, I'll welcome everything I may previously have moaned about.

MrsPretty that girl is a pure cow. I can't believe she would behave like that when she knows your background. Your DP is so right, things will work out for you in the end but she will always be a horrible cow.

Saffron my WTF cycle wasn't so bad, 5 weeks long. I don't remember getting PMT and RTD was v light when it arrived and lasted only a few days. My 1st proper cycle was horrendous - 75 days long and I had PMT for about the last 4 weeks of it! Here's hoping yours will settle soon.

Thanks WYG, I'd like to come and join you all when I'm feeling a bit more confident. Will you keep me a seat?

Viv could the cramps not mean something else? I was convinced this last week it was RTD, even when Clare asked me the same question. About your charming FB friend, easy solution - hide her posts. I did that to someone that irritated me before I plucked up the courage to finally delete them!

Have a good day everyone

Welcome back Viv sorry you are feeling pants hun. It's not over til it's over and this has been proved by the lovely Jolls (great news on the line!!) Muse and Moof this week.......and we are still holding out for Hopefully too (still crossing my fingers and toes) !

As great as FB is it has a nice way of filling us with dread and bitterness There are always going to be status updates from people who are lucky not to be in our cheap, tight, blister making shoes. We would be the same if our innocence hadn't been smashed to pieces with the miscarriage sledge hammer. Hide her posts as Moof suggested and set up an annonymous twitter account so you can post your true FB updates.....or we will just have to have a MN status update when you post on here!!?!?! I have about six updates already I could post this morning!!!! Hang in there for Friday and I do hope the birthday fairy will be good to you xx Enjoy the footie later.......I feel sick already!!!!!!!!!!! C'MON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tigger I like your que sera attitude and I think that moto will stick with me now too about the cries in the night. I know what you mean about the having a DC over 3.

Well, have had a tough 12 hours as my pressure cooker exploded last night and I went into total meltdown given my almost midcycleness..........feel better now, think it's been a few weeks coming.........Postive thoughts all the way and reinforced by the sunshine We are gonna nail ze Germans later......... x

Have a good day ladies. xx

Congratulations moofold what a turn around for you!

Sorry you're on cd1 again hopefully bring on the cbfm!

My cervix is confusing me. I had lots of ewcm last week, but no positive opks. Now cervix is closed, but not in the way it's usually closed (still high). So don't think I'm post-ov but also doesn't look like I'm about to ov either. So on for another long cycle I think. Maybe next weekend. Perhaps another acupuncture session will help bring on the egg.

Sorry to see it wasn't your month Curlylox. Good luck for the next round.

jolls and bunder, are we ready to take the plunge and move off the main list onto the grads one? I did a CBD today that said 2-3 weeks, up from 1-2 weeks on Tuesday. Makes me feel a bit reassured. Still cautious though.

s(t)inkypinky sounds intriguing... sorry if shitty.

digi am impressed (though also quite scared!) at your cervix intimacy... not that you SHOULDN'T be intimate with your own cervix, or indeed anyone else's if one so chooses... ... changing the subject, hope acu does the trick...

muse was cautiously wondering the same thing (after a more positive poas myself today - top news on yours BTW)? Am happy(ish) to go to BFP list but am SO not leaving this thread... not going to the grads thread for a very very long time...

So whoever's doing the list tomorrow can move me down - BFP 22nd June. TVM x And thanks whoever evened up all the exclamation marks on the BFPs... am such a pedant, it WAS bothering me

Cheesed off about the football. What a sad way to play and go out. Terrible positional defending, and a lack of anything imaginative up-front. Something is rotten on the state of Denmark, and I'm pinning most of the blame on John Terry's penis. With a very large and very sharp pin.

randomimposter · 27/06/2010 20:28

sorry fliesby XP... can understand your head is mushy! Why a fluke? If you don't mind me asking?

Muser · 27/06/2010 20:34

Let's do it jolls, I'll move too. So that's two BFPs for 22 June please next listmaker.

fliesby ok can see that makes things more challenging, but you have showed that it's possible! Good for you for wanting to try au naturale, but maybe Clomid could help if you don't get lucky? Feeling ok thanks, bit happier with stronger BFP today, but still a bit miffed with taupe CM... I want clean dry gussets...

nail ze germans - I know nothing about football but am ever the optimist! Total bummer though I think it would have been different if Lampards goal was allowed . Given the result and complete thrashing I hope now that Viv will get her wish from the big man upstairs

Jolls I had to even stevens the exclamation marks, OCD

Good luck fliesby lets hope gyne was wrong and you can go it without clomid but at least you have it in place.

Sorry RTD has got a few of you xxx

Hoping the needles work Digi x

Have had mucho Mittelschmerz for 2 days now......wtf is that about?

batteryhen · 28/06/2010 06:30

Morning all,

Quick dash in as my plane was late last night, and now up for work ..zzzzzzzzz....

I'll tell you what was NOT fun last night was sharing a plane full of bloody celebrating germans after our result

However - if anyone would be as kind as to do the list please....I got RTD yesterday - I am looking on it as positive, as I think that last cycle was WTF and wasn't too bad. Therefore am going to call this cycle 1. And I am almost on time, so I am hoping my body is back on track

I would do the list but will be late...Sorry for the post and run - will check in later xx

I am TTC#1 Cycle 1 UCL28 CD2
