Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

Article here about the cough medicine

hairytriangle · 29/06/2010 14:07

Hi magic8 and everyone else!

Got back from Glastonbury yesterday, had a wonderful time - had promised myself not to worry til today and I haven't. it was very, very hot but I had a great time, it was just what I needed to chill out and get my head together, a few days tramping about in dust and heat, drinking the odd lager and watching music, not even thinking about hcg or blood tests!

I got a negative on a 'first response' this morning, so I'm feeling positive that the blood results from today will be good - I will know at half three.

Haven't read up on you all, but congrats all of you with BFP's and a big 'keep your chins up' to all the rest of you with not so great news.

randomimposter · 29/06/2010 14:07

Big (rather moist eyed) squeeze for cheepzy...

Had acu this morning, so no spotting so far today. Also feel sick. But think that's just anxiety. Just gotta wait and hope for the best. Need to keep busy and STOP BLOODY GOOGLING BROWN MUCUS IN EARLY PREGNANCY OUTCOMES...

Wave to all.

randomimposter · 29/06/2010 14:08

XP hairy that's good PMA, I like it muchly.

hairytriangle · 29/06/2010 14:26

Jollster big non mumsnetty hug x

lucysnowe · 29/06/2010 14:48

Grapefruit juice is also meant to be good for EWCM or so they say...

emptyshell · 29/06/2010 14:56

I've never ever had EWCM before - this month I've been drowning in the snot and charting shows ovulation happening, albeit later than I'd expected so we may have missed it slightly (we bonked 3 days before OV and the day of OV) but at least we're narrowing things down I guess and my system seems to be running normally now.

Charting's helped with that aspect of things post MC - I now know the plumbing's working so it's just a matter of winning the lottery now, not plumbing defects.

hairytriangle · 29/06/2010 15:55

Hurray!!! My hcg is 0.4! I'm ecstatic! See u in sept fir some hardcore ttc!!

hairytriangle · 29/06/2010 15:56

Great news emptyshell!

Muser · 29/06/2010 16:06

Yay hairytriangle! That's wonderful news. September will be here before you know it, promise.

hairytriangle · 29/06/2010 16:36

Muser thank you I am so, so happy

thank you all for all your care, you've been wonderful - at last I feel normal again hurray!!!!

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 29/06/2010 17:36

good news Empty

Hairy I am so pleased to hear that! September will be hear in a flash x

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 29/06/2010 17:37

excuse the spelling - I meant here. Busy day with the mindees, lots of mess from sand painting and the heat have frazzled me brian.

bessie26 · 29/06/2010 20:45

hi to everyone - haven't had chance to get on much lately - are you all enjoying the lovely sun?

congrats to all the pg ladies! There are so many of you it feels like half the list must be pg - which surely means it is only fair if the other half of us also get upduffed too!

Viv - a question about your blood tests - I got the results back from my 3 day bloods last week (normal) & the receptionist told me I needed to have my thyroid test re-done in 3 months time - did you have to have yours repeated? I'm wondering if they do it as a matter of course or if it means I got a borderline result?

hairy am so pleased to hear your results & that you've had a fab fun weekend at Glasto

empty good to hear the charting is proving useful! your timing sounds pretty good to me - those little swimmers are supposed to last 5 days after all!

VivClicquot · 30/06/2010 08:47

Morning all x

hairy - I've done a very discreet Jerry Springer-esque dance for you. September will come around so quickly!

bessie - no, I've not been asked to have them repeated, but as the GP is now referring me for scans etc at our local hospital, I wonder whether they will re-do them then? He also wants DH to do a sperm sample, which means he's finally going to have to get off his ass and register at our local surgery - something I've been nagging him to do since he moved in with me three years ago!

So anyway, am definitely not upduffed. Despite the increased spotting, I decided to flush a fiver down the loo anyway last night and got the excpected BFN. AF arrived this morning so with a resigned sigh, can someone please put me down to the bottom of the list as being on Cycle 8 CD1

xxx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 30/06/2010 09:32

Oh Viv that is bollocks. I am so sorry hun, big hugs. Trying to think positive your GP is referring you and DH for some more tests, which is good. I will be putting all my magic8 powers into your magic8 cycle xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That's shit Viv, I was holding out for you as well. At least as 8s says you're getting some support from your GP at last. Big hugs to you x

Liking your positive vibes Hopefully. It does make you feel like you're taking charge when you get all your contraptions. Good on you!

LucyS and Viv maybe there is something to be said for the old pre-seed afterall. Anything is worth a try - even cough medicine!

So sad all your stories about DC asking where the baby has gone. All the more poignant from the mouths of babes. We hadn't told DD, had planned to when we got back from the 12 week scan that fateful day. She has told me lots recently though that she would like a sister, so I hope I can produce the goods this time - even if I get the gender wrong.

Good news Hairy, hurrah! And Jollster for the lack of that which we shall not speak of.

Me, I'm still freaking out at lack of symptoms. Can anyone remember not having any symptoms in the few weeks? Or has anyone got the haddock handy for a good slap?

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 30/06/2010 15:53

CD27. 13DPO. I have the incredible desire to POAS, but judging by the way I am feeling today (crampy, craving gross fast food) I would put money on the fact that RTD will probably arrive tomorrow. grrrr.

hairy I'm chuffed for you. September will come round so quickly. Sorry about RTD and BFN, viv. Moo, with DS1 I had no symptoms apart from cramping until I was almost 9 weeks. Although by then I looked like I'd eaten a large dinner. Then the morning sickness hit me with a vengeance.

digitalgirl · 30/06/2010 16:06

boo viv that is rubbish. magic8 has spoken - 8 is your lucky number.

hairy hooray for bfn and near zero hcg!

empty excellent news on the hatching. Lets hope you win the baby-lotto.

Had my needles today. Lady this time was very nice and suggested that I try charting temps even though DS won't allow for a perfect chart - she'll happily interpret it for me. So think I'll give that a go and see what my chart ends up looking like. She mentioned that getting my cycles down to a normal length would have so many more benefits (other than more opps to swi), like making sure the follicle is properly ripe for when the LH surge comes and making sure the lining is all nice and comfy.

Despite having strange cramps yesterday and today I don't think I've ovulated yet and not quite sure what is going on. EWCM by the bucket loads yesterday, but still no +ve opk. I fear I'm going to run out of opks and I started out this cycle with 33 (inc my friend's lucky pack).

batteryhen · 30/06/2010 16:23

Nothing to report from my end - still trundling on. I have booked my flights to see DP for when I think I will ovulate. This is costing me a fortune!!!

Hairy - So pleased for you - September will be here in a flash, jut a few weeks for you to eat healthy, look after yourself, and get yourself ready for that baba that coming your way. Empty - I was wondering where you were, good to hear from you - sounds like you are very feritle just now - fingers x for you.

viv - rubbish about BFN, agree with magic8 that this must be your lucky cycle this time round.

Just wanted to say hi - I really have nothing special to tell anyone, but am waiting for news of BFP.s - surely someone must be testing soon!

Cheepz · 30/06/2010 16:36

Updated list to reflect the fact I am now onto 4th post ERPC cycle of not trying on the basis of job move and full notice working although thank god as this whole house move is taking up so much time I am able to do it all while pretending to work!! At least I should be able to participate in the TTC list from next cycle - yay, am abit bored of not being able to rant about 2ww, obsess about ovulation and constantly think about new ways to seduce DH withough him closking its babymaking time

viv that sucks the big one - and not in a good way. love to you lady

8s can I have some magic for exchanging soon please - I might just lose my mind otherwise

battery flying in for a shag - thats quite something = I am super impressed with your dedication

moof i had barely any symptoms with DS until we were at like 14 weeks so don't fret - I was abit more hungry but no nausea, no cramps - nothing, mind you I wasn't watching but I was normal for months

righto - off to surf the internet

xx to all

Cheepz · 30/06/2010 16:36

ps - i whipped out the MIA's - list was getting abit unwieldy!!!

Moofold · 30/06/2010 16:54

Cheepz that's the kind of ruthlessness I like to see applied to the list. Thanks to you and Ivy for your advice. That's interesting you had no cramping Cheepz, that's what I'm worried about most because i had lots last two times. I'm probably reading too much into it but i just feel totally normal and its alarming me.

Digi I poas for 37 consecutive days during the 75 day cycle. Its ridiculous isn't it. EWCM always get less for me by the time I get a positive, I've heard others say that too.

Hopefully · 30/06/2010 20:14

Moof I didn't get any symptoms at all (apart from constipation. Lovely) with DS until I was a good 6 weeks, and even then it was just mild nausea and extreme tiredness. All gone by 12 weeks too.

Viv, dude, my cycle buddy. So sorry you're still my cycle buddy. But we shall be victorious this cycle. After spending £50 or whatever it was on a bloody CBFM, I'd better damn well get pregnant!

I am enjoying watching my little chart on Fertility Friend grow. My temperature has varied by all of 0.01 degree every day I've taken it so far. Assuming that continues it should be pretty easy to see post-OV temp spike! Or possibly I've got a duff thermometer...

Incidentally, is it wrong to be looking forward to my CBFM asking me to POAS? I have clearly lost it.

Am meant to be packing for camping holiday (all of 53 minutes away, according to Google Maps), but DP has gone food shopping so I am... not packing. Really looking forward to a little break, even if it is only to Brighton .
