I'm back...baby dropped off to sleep but is awake as soon as we get in the door

4ever it's not much bleeding at all really just if I do more walking etc it comes back. I'm hoping to exclusively bf for 6 months (though I can tell J is going to be wanting food before then! He's 10lbs 1oz already, such a chubster and loves his food!) so hopefully won't ovulate for a while.
You're brave thinking about ttc already. My mw told me yesterday sex will be really painful cos of scar tissue in posterior vaginal wall great! When the GP asks me at my 6 wk check what form of contraception I'm using I may just laugh in his face...looks like childbirth should do the trick for a while yet!!

PFJ I'm still
How time flies...I remember trying for a March baby last year. Will be lovely time of year to have a lo

SabsFabulous · 08/07/2010 17:23

Hi ladies. Just a quick post from my phone to say congrats to pfj! ... Also wanted to send lots of hugs to choccie and jools ... Will be back soon

4everhopeful · 08/07/2010 17:50

Yea Cupcake one of reasons i went docs on tues was to ask when to have sex again, he checked with perineal clinic who said after my open stitches 6wk would be ok but to be gentle! Cos of my mc history wasnt allowed til 16wk preg, then at 20wk preg i had cervical erosion bleed so hardly done it at all, obviously there are other means of loving iykwim but cant wait to get back to normal! As for BF thats great u can do exclusively, i shed quite a few tears in early days that S wasnt staying on my boob & we had to top up with FF, some of the hosp mw made me feel really useless & crap about it, my home visit mw was great tho & it was her that got me to stop with the cup & just use the bottle. It was a massive relief to kno S was gettin the right amount & to have a proper routine finally. I stopped beating myself up then, the pressure to BF is so immense, not fair to be looked down on if you dont, sometimes you just cant, like me, i expressed til 4wks so she got 3oz a day but in the end it took too long for a tiny amount so i stopped. Thats why i was thrilled last week when she decided she liked it again! However im still giving same amount of FF as she prob only has half an hour or an hour a day, she is a great weight at 10lb 14oz, 75th percentile, and like J i know ill be introducing food in 3months when she is 4and a half months!

barbie1 · 08/07/2010 18:21

Hermya321 · 08/07/2010 18:35

Was looking for MLS to see how she was getting on and low and behold I discover that PFJ has had a BFP!!! Congratulations!!! I bet you're so excited!!

barbie1 · 08/07/2010 18:45

Hi hermya

mls is swanning about on holiday and having a great time! Think she is back next week?

littlebellsmum · 08/07/2010 22:59

HI all
Quick message as it so much past my bedtime!

The PFG - congrats, congrats and congrats again, Stick bean, stick bean, stick bean...

Iggy how exciting - just a few weeks ( or days ) to go and your baba will be here. No hat needed - I made sure that I had one as they qwouldn't let me leave hospital with ds unless he had a hat and so, he had to leave with a lovely pink strippy one of his sisters and yes we have photos for his 18th! It was feb though..

Barbie That little one of yours is being a minx - hasn't she realized that mummy is much happier after sleep?

4ever and cupcake my new mummy buddies - good to see things are going so well for you both. I'm managing to bf BabyJ with just one bottle at bedtime - this is a really big eal for me as I didn't manage it with the other 2. Shes putting on weight slowly but everyone is happy with her ( think she's about 9.5lb not and on the 25th %) but is very long. Sleeps great at night but is a bugger in the evenings and can be during the day. Poos are too infrequent and still causing some problems but her daily OJ ( freshly squeezed of course!) seems to be helping. Any way really must go - daddy does last feed and I need some sleep, its only 4 hours untill she'll wake up and we are going to Dh's work tomorrow on the bus, so it could be interesting!

ThePFJ · 09/07/2010 07:29

BIG Hugs for Barbie. xxx
Hi Hermya!
I am still and

Apparently the message I left on the midwife's
mobile made her laugh so much she peed.... (you all know what I am like )
so she is organising an early viability scan for me to make sure little bean is in the right place. Hopefully she will have news on that Monday for me.

xxx

CurlyBigPants · 09/07/2010 08:31

Fantastic news pfj I am so so sooooooooooo excited for you

Things crazy here with family buy will be back soon xxx

CurlyBigPants · 09/07/2010 08:32

Massive hug for Jools tho and anyone who needs one

monkeybumsmum · 09/07/2010 09:08

PFJ Fab news Well done you! Have my fingers crossed for you that it's a sticky one and that you have a long and uneventful next 35 weeks!

Jools Sending you a big hug, hope you're hanging in there.... Am thinking of you x

LBM Sounds like the bf'ing is going v well, you must be pleased! Have a lovely trip today, hope it goes smoothly and you enjoy showing off your gorgeous BabyJ

Barbie Sorry to hear you're going through such a tough time with D's sleep. It must be incredibly hard, esp without a support network where you are. You will get through this, and it will improve. I only hope that this is sooner rather than later. Are you sleeping while she's sleeping, even during the day? Sending you a big hug too xxx

Sorry for lack of more personals, but am off to take one of our dogs to the vets - got up this morning to a kitchen covered in 'mess' and the poor thing can't stand up. We're really worried, and grabbed the first appt we could which is in 20 mins... Have a good day all x

bluesatinsash · 09/07/2010 09:51

Just posting a qiuckie whilst Ben sleeps as I really should be doing the housework - grr.

Congrats PFJ . Willing you a sticky bean.

Choccie - read your post last night on DH's phone and felt so so for you. Its hard to offer advice and I'm so aware of not wanting to come across as trite or patronising. You really are going through the wringer. Try and remember you fell pg twiice which should reassure that you can get pg. There is nothing worse than a timescale/deadline looming for any aspect of life but having one which revolves around ttc/age/IVF must be so hard. There is so much written about the physical v psychological aspect of falling pg and Zita West always tries to tell couples to relax, get healthy (which you are big time) as it sends the right signals to your brain and hormones etc but then how can you remain relaxed when you have your 'deadline's and your DH's sperm mobility etc.. . You are 39 not 45 though, please take comfort in that. Many many woman have babies at 40/41/42/43. I really hope your tests come back fine and you and your DH seize the next ovulation window with combined gusto. Big hugs honey x

barbie - going to post on your other thread but lack of sleep is the worst feeling in the world bar none. It nearly drove me demented..

4ever - your DH should be put in a lab and cloned . He is the best (although mine is pretty good too .

Hey to everyone else x

bluesatinsash · 09/07/2010 10:15

oh monkey - hope your pooch is OK... x

barbie1 · 09/07/2010 12:31

Firstly sorry for such a me post yesterday i really was push to the limit...put her to bed at 7.30 as per usual and 45 mins later she was awake and then 45 mins after. I posted in sheer desperation after the 2 wake and 30 mins of tears.

A massive big huge thankyou to blue who took so much time and wrote to me, your kindness reduced me to tears. So much of what you said makes sense. Last night we tried not to feed her every 45 min but ended up every 90 mins (3 times) in the end she was sick! She must of eaten too much so i ended up settling her in bed with me and she slept 4.30 until 8am.

She was still tired on waking so the first feed we took her back to the dark room and forced gave her a bottle. She took it! [shook] silly me only made 60ml so we didnt wasted yet more formula and she wanted more. By the time i had made another the moment had pasted and she was too tired. We cc her to sleep.

I have just tried her on a spoon of home made pear puree, she loved it, grabbed the spoon and cried when we didnt give her any more.

Not sure if this is the right thing to do but im up for trying anything, tonight will tell if its worked.

Anyways thanks again to listening...pfj im still smiling for you!

monkey Hope the pooch is ok, fingers crossed. Fred did the same thing once. 48 hour bug and back to normal soon after xxxx

No time for anymore, back soon xxx

mermaidspurse · 09/07/2010 17:17

flip flop friday

I just can't keep up so I am sorry not to be as up to the minute as I once was

choccie I don't think we have ever met but I have read your messages yesterday and my heart went out to you. I am so sorry and wish there was something other than words onn a screen. I really really hate those bloody stick things and think that is when I got a little crazy with the whole ttc epic that had become my life.
I have always got pregnant when not trying - eventually - which sums up the huge stress of trying iykwim.
And it may not feel like it at the minute but 39 is not the end of the world, hell I can't even remember bing 39

jools I have stocked up on that lovely blossom hill rose number we were quaffing last year, it's chilling in the greenhouse water butt

monkey I am so crap at sending messages and emails at the mo and you are in my thoughts tonnes. I hope your poor dog is ok, poor thingx. At least you can kick back and enjoy the loooong holidays now.

barbie match sticks winging their way over to you. It must be hard in the heat even with ac poor little D. It means so much to be able to hand them to someone else though doesn't it? Hopefuly you have had a better day/night.x

blue how did I miss you going back to work and how did that happen so quickly? shocked. Enjoy your weekend, how are the veggies by the way?

sabs a big hellllloooooo and big kiss for S.

4ever yeah to S discovering boobies again! Lovely to read about you discovering all the joys of motherhood, we have all longed to read posts like that from you lovely lady.
Belated congrats on your wedding anniversary too and hope you had a brilliant day.

I am finding things a bit hard. I hate having to drive anywhere cos I start crying. Think it's cos you have time to think when driving. Still, dh is keeping me upright and our new kitten is good therapy too although the sofa may not agree.

Masses of love to everyone, I will try and catch up regularly again.

oh yeah I think I have some facebook emmsys but don't know who they are, sorry.x

MummyLovesSadie · 10/07/2010 04:46

Hey just popping my head round the door (still in Florida ) wanted to see if there is any news and wooohoooooooooo PFJ way to go! . Now what was it I was telling you about being more fertile the month after a cp.....?

Barbie deffo teething, my dd used to just about eat her own head with her bottom lip pulled right up to her nose!

Neeko hope you are having a fun holiday.

Choccie yes Barbie is right, I was screaming ACUPUNCTURE at the screen! Will have a look at your chart when I'm back in the uk. P.S. as I said a few weeks ago would most definitely recommend acu for your dh too.

Big hug to Mermaid.

Right gtg, bedtime. Another day of blistering 35 degree heat tomorrow!

QuestionsAgain · 10/07/2010 07:16

Congratulations PFJ how exciting Wishing you lots of luck.

Barbie hope things improve sleep wise for you and that you got some good advice. Sleep deprivation is truly awful.

Choccie , I too read your post and really felt for you. This ttc lark is so complicated and fraught with difficulties. Hope you and your DH keep talking and he can help you through this

mermaid hug for you too. It's those quiet moments that creep up on you and allow you to think

Jools So sorry to read what you have been through over the last month and that you think you have had a MC. Your head must be all over at the moment. What a nightmare. Hopefully things will be better this month.

louey glad that you bcan finally move on to this months ttc marathon, but sorry it wasn't a bfp. Have a good feeling it will be this time.

MLS hpe you are enjoying Florida and not finding the heat too much now that you must be getting huge blossoming

All the saggy panters sound blissfully happy with their bundles of joy

A big hello to everyone else, sorry for no more personals.

I am struggling to get back on at the moment, but will keep up when I can. After being so unwell, sense kicked in and we are holding off on ttc until I am 'fixed' I am really about it and finding it difficult, especially as we don't yet know how long I will have to wait, but could be quite a few months.

barbie1 · 10/07/2010 08:45

Hi

Welcome back mermaid and questionagain you have both been missed...
mermaid
Some times being on your own and able to think isnt always the best thing is it? Can you perhaps make a cd of songs that remind you of happy times to play while in the car. Music is so powerful i feel, just maybe that might be the way forward. Remember we are here whenever you need us to hold your hand, doesnt matter if you are up to date with the thread of not, we are here for you thats all that matters

Same for you questions I hope you feel better now, did you find out what caused you to be so very poorly? I know a few months feel like a life time to you now but it will soon pass. Just concentrate on getting fixed so you can carry a beautiful baby without added worry. Thinking of you x

monkey i woke up at 2am thinking of your dog and very nearly text you but couldnt remember the time difference, Hope all is ok....

4ever loving little miss Summer finding your boobies again clever little thing!

mls i know you too well could practically here you screaming Acupuncture from here hope the holiday is fun!

Sorry one handed typing...just to update ....D slept
7-10 then fed
11-2 then fed
fussy for about an hour until wind came up
3-6am then fed

so it was slightly better...however didnt sleep much, too used to waking up every 45 mins myself!

Sticking to feeding every 3 to 4 hours only as blue suggested.

I wonder of its a coincidence that she slept better after the puree? We are going to try formula today, if she will take the bottle again which will tell us if she is infact genuinely hungry.

Dont want to go down the whole weaning route just yet, even though she took to it so well and even grabbed the spoon to fed herself!

I was so worried last night that she might have a reaction to the pears or something, it really didnt help my own sleep i can tell you!

Right off to put munchkin to bed.....
3-6am

mermaidspurse · 10/07/2010 09:38

barbie I think pears may be one of the few foods which are not allergic.? She sounds keen probably a good sign. I bf till 6m got bullied by hv alot to introduce solids but resisted because of asthma/eczema etc in our family. ds has neither so either a fluke or it worked

I have been belting out stuff like Reef and jimmi hendrix such a rock chic ageing groupy

questions I am sorry that you have to have something mended

mls get back in that disney princess outfit

MORNING

pfj huge congratulations to you

mrsjate so glad JD is sleeping through, Ajay is just about doing it most nights now, such a relief

barbie you poor poor love, I think D is probably hungry and teething. Pear is a great first food to give and like mermaid says, you can't be allergic to, or so I've read. I hope she starts to settle for you soon, Ajay did once he started to get some food. Are you giving her calpol for the teething?

cupcake that was a fast month , happy 1 month Jude

blue so pleased that going back to work was fine, and glad that your mug and stapler are ok

choccie huge hug to you, but like blue says, you know you can get pg, so take some comfort from that.

jools I hope you haven't had another MC, but so sorry if you have

monkey i hope your doggy is ok.

louey so pleased that you are pleased that AF arrived

Well we are BACK , had a fab holiday in the Lakes, it just went too bloomin fast!!! Ajay cut two more teeth, so he now has two on the bottom and one on the top, he looks soooo cheeky
We bought one of those baby carrier things and set out on some lovely walks, we even went some way up a mountain, DH was so happy, he's missed his mountain walking, the DS's loved it, and I was wheezing like a 40 a day smoker , but it was fun Will post some pictures when I get a mo.
Got so much to do , the builder arrives on Monday and we've got to empty the garage.

Love u always for being thoughtful sweetie X X X X X

4everhopeful · 10/07/2010 11:00

VJay · 10/07/2010 11:02

Oh 4ever , sorry hun, I do read your posts, but I haven't responded sorry. I did note that Summer is on the 75th percentile, Ajay is the same for weight, but 91st for height, so is long and lean too

OP posts:
4everhopeful · 10/07/2010 13:31

Thanks Vjay! She is very long and lean! Im just such a proud mummy & i spent the last couple of years trying not to be when i read you all talking about what was going on with your babies & sharing tips & info & i so longed to join in, now im finally able to, iv felt everyones ignored me! I know how childish i sound but cant help feeling this way!
