Hi all

The thread has been busy again, I was hoping to catch up last weekend, but then I have had a bad week health wise and am only just starting to feel better again.

Thanks to those who advised about my ttc dilemma. It is very complicated and my head has been all over, did decide to try last weekend, but then took a turn for the worse so not sure if it was the right decision, but as we only managed once before I was poorly again, not sure how much I need to be worried. Now in limbo land of thinking it will be easier if I don't get a bfp, but still hopeful i will. Also worried about medication I have taken, aaaghhhhhhhh.

I will catch up soon properly I promise, but in the meantime a for jools and a hug for monkey glad to see you are all still looking after each other

VJay · 25/06/2010 10:53

Hellooo - am on a work avoidance campaign (despite having plenty to do )

Last night was fabulous - I really loved the play and the setting in the park. First half was a bit uncomfortable though - very nauseous and almost doubled over with cramps Nothing today and it is like I just imagined it all ... Boobs are huge and tender, and I the smell of pate in the fridge was not pleasant ....

AF due on Wed

Meant to congratulate you on your results Vjay brainbox Blue lovely graduation pics :0

Earth to Moon - where are you .....

cupcakefairy · 25/06/2010 15:32

Very quick hello ladies. I've had a screaming baby all day who wants to do nothing but feedfeedfeed. Think it must be the heat Thankfully dh has come home early today so he's having a daddy snuggle and once again Jude is behaving perfectly for him...how is this fair I ask you!

Things have been fine on my own so far. Met up with NCT friends a couple of times which was lovely. Feel a bit overwhelmed by the fact I have to do this every week but trying to just take it one day at a time.

Hi mermaid
jools I'm v of your trip to the play; sounds fab.

4ever wow to Summer being a month old already!! Jude is very nearly out of his newborn clothes now and already into size 2 nappies but we are getting loads of smiles already which is so lovely! (Almost makes me forgive him for making me his milk machine 24/7!)

cupcakefairy · 25/06/2010 16:35

Dh has taken J out for a walk in the sling so finally had time to put a couple of pics on my profile! Will only leave them for a few days though.

VJay · 25/06/2010 19:05

cupcake Jude is just gorgeous

DS1 has ridden his bike properly with no stabilizers today , there's no stopping him now We all went down to the park this evening, and dh was running around the field with him, and he just did it, it was brilliant

I must really truly send my hugest apologies for not posting in such a long time, very sorry to those who were worried about me. As you know rl has been a bit hectic to say the least and it just gets worse. Have just found out my sister has to go back to hospital and today at work overheard about another pregnancy, thats the 4th woman now when is it my turn, and why cant everything else sort itself out...

Look at me, just came back and already whinging. Had a bad day at work and took the blame for something i know i didnt do to protect someone else, how silly am i.

Deep breath....

Will catch up properly sometime soon, i promise, and jools i am on exactly the same dpo as you as well cupcake jude is just perfect.

Lots of love to everyone, hugs for those that need, and babydust to the smallpanters. xxxxx

monkeybumsmum · 25/06/2010 20:58

Oh my goodness what a gorgeous gorgeous boy Cupcake Thanks for posting the pics, it's lovely to see them!

Off to feed dh lots of berries (went mad at fruit market) but will be back tomorrow x

barbie1 · 26/06/2010 16:18

Fleeting visit, we have had air conditioning issues (none at all!) so have been busy camping out in the living room and ladder buying

Hope all is well with everyone, ill be back soon x

SabsFabulous · 27/06/2010 04:54

Teething = no fun We've been awake since 3am but nothing seems to be settling her. We've tried everything from teething gel, some homeopathic tablet thingie, calpol, her teether, giving her milk and water, stripping her down to her nappy, walking around with her, putting her in our bed etc but nothing seems to be working. Any tips ladies? Poor Saara

MummyLovesSadie · 27/06/2010 07:25

Have you tried these Sabs?

barbie1 · 27/06/2010 10:48

mls.... you are the perfect mummy! where do you find all these things from, ie the necklace, the snuggle thing etc etc

Well ac is finally fixed, no fun to be without it in 45 plus heat!

Sleeping problems are still on going but D can crawl! all be it backwards ... so she can roll and crawl...so baby proving the villa this week, no stopping her now!

she also keeps doing this

Baking and moon lovely to see you both back, im sorry things are going your way at the moment, remember you can rant away on here.

sabs poor saara i have no idea what to suggest, although i did read that you should soak a flannel in some sterilized water and then freeze it. once hard and froken let baby suck on it, loads of people say it works...good luck s

barbie1 · 27/06/2010 10:49

NOT going your way....whoops

monkeybumsmum · 27/06/2010 11:22

Barbie you are funny with your yoga baby Can just imagine her doing that now, v cute! Glad your a/c's now working, must be horrible not having it in that heat! Btw, also have to say thank you for the Banana Boat suncream recommendation, it's great! DS always reacts to other suncreams, but we've used this one for three days on the trot now, and he only has one tiny area of redness, compared to being covered in it! I am hoping that this is just due to the heat, as it hasn't come up anywhere else. He keeps asking to put the Banana on, bless him

Sabs Poor Saara MLS beat me to it, but I was going to suggest Ashton and Parsons teething powders as they worked wonders for ds. Hope the teething eases soon - it must be so sore for her poor little mite.

Lovely to see you back BQ and Moon. Moon, sorry to hear you sounding so down Am sending big hugs your way, you are being so strong in what must be a really tough time with everything going on.

QA Sorry to hear you've been poorly again. I really hope things start looking up for you soon. Could you take a couple of months off ttc and build yourself up, or would that not help? It's so frustrating when things get in the way of our plans isnt it. I hope you're being well looked after and are getting lots of rest...

VJay Well done your ds1!!! How old is he now? Bet he is ever so proud of himself!

4ever wow, a whole month! Seems like yesterday! How come time goes so slowly when we worry about things, and then flies by when we're happy? Doesn't seem fair somehow

Mermaid Huge hugs sweetheart xxx

Have been thinking lots about the ad's and have decided not to go on them for the moment. Have been trying to stay so healthy for the last couple of months, gone organic, drinking litres of water, and taking lots of good supplements. Feel v weird about putting drugs into my body now, so will hold off for a while. If it gets worse I shall take them, but am hoping that things should get a bit better when I finish work for the summer on Friday

Hope everyone's enjoying the lovely weather! Off to go and work in the garden now, and try not to get burnt! Love to all x

VJay · 27/06/2010 12:17

Hiya,
sabs I was going to suggest what monkey suggested, I have those for Ajay, you can get them in boots. Poor Saara teething is horrid

monkey ds1 is 7, and he's been too scared before now to ride his bike, he's had 18 months!!! So we are really proud of him. Hope you are enjoying your garden as I type. Re AD's, I think you have a good grasp of how you're feeling, so if you think you are sinking low then go back to the doctors

barbie I love that pose, ds1 never did that, so when I saw Ajay doing it I thought it was hilarious, I've got pictures of him doing it . So glad your ac is back on, phew!

hi baking come and chat when you have time

Ajay had chopped up food yesterday instead of mush, and he ate it fine

Talking of food, blue how is B getting on?

Being self obsessed here [oops] 12DPO - boobs still hooge and sore, the odd bout of nausea that may or may not be imagined - now spotting

Either:

This is an implantation bleed
This is an early AF after failed implantation
This is a very early pre AF warning

iggypiggy · 28/06/2010 08:59

Hello all, just wanted to apologise for the lack of posting. I have discovered that when away from work I generally avoid computers! Am finding my maternity leave is very busy already, I have something on pretty much every day but am not complaining! I had an antenatal class with my consultant the other day which was brilliant, he has a fab attitude and am now feeling v happy about being in his care. Just got to decide about using birth pool or not now... Assuming the baby doesn't decide for me!

Am on phone, so is hard to catch up, but am always lurking and will try to post more soon.

Xx

VJay · 28/06/2010 10:57

Fingers are firmly crossed for you jools

Had a text from blue this morning, poor wee B has the pox

It was mine and Ajays last postnatal swim today, and it got cancelled , but on a positive note, I've got loads of study done. I really want my course books read by the end of the week as the school hols start on Friday

OP posts:
loueytbg · 28/06/2010 13:15

Hello all, I'm sorry for lack of posting. Had my sister and nieces to stay for the past 10 days or so and we've been taking advantage of the lovely weather and have been out all day every day. I've been reading via my phone but its a nightmare to do any kind of post from it. Will attempt a proper catch up....

iggy glad you are enjoying your maternity leave and that you have such a nice consultant. I know what you mean about not using computers when you are not working.... Isn't it about time we start an babyiggy sweepstake

jools 12DPO but seriously, when are you going to give in and test. C'mon, you know you want to... Glad you enjoyed the open air theatre - it is wonderful, especially when the weather is as nice as it is at the moment. Hope you are not working quite so hard this week.

monkey oh love, you have been through such a lot that I am not surprised you are depressed. Really hope that you can have a rest once school finishes this week and hope it helps you recharge your batteries. I don't know much about depression and treatment and there are others on here who have much more useful advice.

sabs poor Saara . Teething is just horrible. Can only echo what has already been said. Calpol and/or nurofen worked for us. The teething powders didn't seem to do much (we tried everything). It is trial and error though because every child reacts in different ways. Hope she gets the teeth through soon and you can recover.

mermaid lovely to see you back. How are things going? Have been thinking about you loads x

mls 25 weeks! How are you feeling? You must be so excited about Florida. Hope you have a lovely time x

barbie I'm sorry you are still having such a lack of sleep. And being without a/c in Dubai must be very hard so I'm relieved you got it fixed. (Am currently doing my annual whinge about lack of a/c in our bedroom which was 27 degrees last night). Loved the pic of D sucking her toes

moon lovely to see you back posting (can you tell we were worried...) but I'm sorry you are still having such problems in RL . Hope your sister gets better soon. Hearing about other people getting PG when you desperately want to is just the pits. I remember being in floods of tears when my step-sister announced she was pg with her first, 3 months after getting married. I was pleased for her but gutted for me. We had been trying for 18 months by that point. Still have FX for you that this is your month.

vjay boo to swimming getting cancelled but yay for doing more studying. Fabulous that DS1 is riding his bike, you must be over the moon. And Ajay onto chopped up food already, well done!

blue poor B getting chicken pox too. Hopefully he will get a very mild dose.

QA I hope things resolve soon. It sounds as though you are having a really rough time at the mo. If you want to off-load more then you we are here to listen/help in any way we can.

cupcake you sound in babyheaven . How are things healing up?

4ever you too . Well done on taking Summer for her first restaurant trip and for posting your epic birth story. You sounded totally un-weebly throughout.

LBM have gathered from your FB updates that you are struggling with J wanting to be attached to you. Poor you (and her of course)! Hope you sort it out soon.

choccie you have my total sympathies on the TTC front. I had a struggle to get PG with DTs (2 years of TTC followed by clomid) and that was hard enough without having gone through 2 mc's. I too will be petrified if I get PG again. Will be waving pom-poms for you and please come on here and vent whenever necessary.

Waves to BQ, Gracie, Neeko, Annie, Buddha and anyone else I've forgotten.

Had an absolutely lovely week off with my sis and nieces, lots of trips out to the beach and an amusement park. I think I have 2 adrenaline junkies. DS2 has asked every day since when we can go back. Oh and we've booked a holiday for October (10 days in Lanzarote - yay) but that might mean I'm not around for your meet up (boo).

Not sure what is going on with my body though - no +OPK at all, but am now on CD22 (normal cycles are 24 days) and have bad cramps, nausea and am generally knackered (although that could be the heat and lack of sleep). Have given in and bought some FRER and may test if no AF by tonight as I'm off for a girlie night out. Someone please slap me and tell me I'm imagining things. Its all going to end in disappointment isn't it....

Neeko · 28/06/2010 13:26

Hi all. Been lurking. Lovely to see absent faces popping back on. Getting excited for Jools and Louey.
Just ticking along here. We're off on holiday next week.
H is crying back later

VJay · 28/06/2010 14:14

hi louey lovely long post , I hope it doesn't all end in disappointment for you, sending you babydust and positive vibes

neeko we are off on hols too next week, can't wait

iggy sorry I missed you earlier, bad Vjay, I hope you are getting some rest in during your busy mat leave.

newsflash Ajay has a TOOTH, yay , it's on the bottom and just poking through, at last

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 28/06/2010 16:57

Hello ladies. Jude has gone slightly insane in the heat- lots of screaming this morning but he is now finally asleep!

iggy you're under consultant care now are you? I got switched to CL right at the end which I was about but we did actually have a fab consultant. Hope you do get to use the pool (if you want to!)

louey fingers crossed for you! Things are healing up nicely thanks better every day but still can't sit properly for long periods of time. I spoke to my Grandma earlier who said she was the same with her first, labour like mine, but then her second (my dad) 'practically fell out' so that's encouraging maybe I will consider getting pregnant again someday!

Vjay yay for Ajay's tooth

Sabs poor little S hope one of these suggestions works for her poor soul!

moon and baking hello sorry RL is busy/rubbish/hectic for you both at the mo but don't be strangers.

blue we have the iCandy Cherry pram in fudge with carrycot and buggy attachments; also fits the maxi cosi carseat. We love it- it's so lightweight and easy to manoevre and people keep complimenting it too here it is but ours is a beige/brown colour.
