C'mon in BESHes to the beach bar...sprawl on comfy sofas while you wiggle your toes in the sand and watch a glorious sunset....and drink brightly coloured cocktails with sparklers in. Cos we're classy, innit.

I've got Adam and joe in as barmen, and we have a rather nice Cave of Gloom in the corner for those 'whyyyyyy meeeeeeee???' moments. We have a reggae sound system playing mob barley's greatest hits. It's a sunshine paradise!

Newcomers welcome,as long as they drag along a bucket of black humour and a vast amount of gin. And please note, some of us have been here so long we have forgotten the real world almost entirely.

Now,who's getting the next round in?

Cho me darlin'! Nice to see yez.

Camel that sounds just the absolutely ticket, does that. What didja get ?

Lyra, I hope your Pa gets beautifully looked after, and that the hospital staff keep you properly informed this time. BESHly witchy-woo vibes your way.

Erm, I'm checking out of the Palais just for a bit (because of course my absence would be publicly deplored in a mass show of grief etc. etc.): jobs & studies etc. so up in the air at the mo that aiming for diffment is sort of out of the question, so I feel vaguely fraudulent, and also panicked because I'm not properly TTC and unquestionably ought to be, what with the biological clock clattering away on the shelf. Plus, real risk everything I've worked* for the last four years will go kaput, so need to clear the head a bit & focus or whatever it is successful people do.

Obviously I will be lurking. And equally obviously will prolly be back by 4pm tomorrow max.

And obviously obviously if we manage some SWI, you know, in between watching out for the local porcine flying display team, then I'll be back in sharpish for the 2WOOFL....

*What? STOP IT! I totally have done some work! Like last week, yeah? Sat up till ten. TEN!

Gah, I truly didnae want that to look attention seeking . I just need a coupla weeks I think. It's all got too much and I'm trying to feng shui my head, if you see what I mean. I'll clearly be in uvverplace tho, stalking you shamelessly

PollyPoo · 08/06/2010 14:56

Sounds like a good plan Cam. I always find burying my head in books helps. It drives TG up the wall, but tough tits!

HB don't leave us

Ariesgirl · 08/06/2010 15:00

See, you can't leave now we have imprisoned you. You knock her out and I'll chuck her in the Pit and lock the door.

PollyPoo · 08/06/2010 15:01

Where are those furry bloody handcuffs when you need them? Quick!

Headbanger · 08/06/2010 15:11

....have explained slightly better elsewhere...

Toodles.

Ariesgirl · 08/06/2010 15:16

She's gone then

Cho that sounds familiar. My midwife reckons I am due xmas day. That is because she assumes everyone has 28 day cycle and ovs on day 14. I ovd late that month and am therefore due 27 December.

tagine · 08/06/2010 16:30

Bangersandmash! GET BACK HERE!!! I don't know where the other place is

Lyra am so so sorry. Puts my fucking self absorbed moping into perspective. Is there anything practical that would help? I am just norf of That London, I don't know where they are / are heading. But if there IS anything, please do shout. So utterly shite for all of you.

RunLyraRun · 08/06/2010 17:01

Fanks everyone. Sorry for constantly going on about entirely non-SWI related stuff, but you're my mates, innit.

HO's headteacher has said he can have the day off tomorrow to drive them down, so we are just trying to arrange that - arguing with bro-in-law over who gets to do it, as he has arranged time off too! Sis and I are lucky to have lovely men to rely on.

StewieGriffin they are going to Basingstoke, so sarf west of That London. Nothing anyone can do really, but thanks.

tagine · 08/06/2010 17:08

Lovely men are indeed a blessing

I'm glad practicalities are getting sorted, anyway.

No sorry needed as I hope you know really.... if Pisces can talk about her new and, frankly, WRONG crush then you can talk about Real Life for as long as you want.

ChoChoSan · 08/06/2010 17:18

Heeeyyyy....since when has veering wildly off the 30ttc topic been a problem round here, gals....I like to think that some super-cleverness will rub off from you lot, one day...

ChoChoSan · 08/06/2010 17:19

...talking of which, where is Scorps?

PollyPoo · 08/06/2010 17:29

Yeah, she and Gin have been v quiet.... have they snuck off together?

PerfectDromedary · 08/06/2010 17:31

I was wondering the same thing. She can't be at work - is the WRONG DAY. Maybe she hates us?

Thirded, or fourthed - whatevs - the fact that not talking about 30s ttc is absoluement fine. After all, there's only so much you can say about it without going wrong in the head.

Speaking of, I am spotting on Day 14. If this continues to period in 12 days time, insult will have been firmly added to injury.

Ariesgirl · 08/06/2010 17:49

Didn't say it was a crush . Just said he was not as minging as he used to be.

ChoChoSan · 08/06/2010 17:54

Spotting on day 14...what gives PerlNecklace??

saltyair · 08/06/2010 18:36

gasping emoticon I have had to WORK so bloody hard all day.

ALL day. Didn't even have any lunch. Pshaw.

PerfectDromedary · 08/06/2010 18:56

But weren't you sitting in the garden with the laptop last week?

I am still at work. Gah!

Cholene, cholene, cholene, cholene, I'm begging of you, please don't take my man I have no idea about the spotting. Eons ago, I had bleeding around ovulation - am hoping is that, and not the shortest LP in the history of time.

saltyair · 08/06/2010 19:06

CameliaHumpathon there is NO need for that. I may have been dans la jardin, this is not the point. Not the point at all.

I hope I have made myself clear?

Where does a girl like me get a bucket of wine from these days, doesn't seem to be anyone behind the bar.....

Medee · 08/06/2010 19:09

Hi ladies, SheBangs totally understand your need for a wee break, hope to see you back here soon.

I nearly told my BM at the weekend, but the one moment at which I was going to, she started speaking before I did and the moment was lost. She knows I came off the pill, but I had told her then I was waiting for my cycle to regulate itself. She only asked once more, when my cycle was still being stupid and she's not asked since.

One of our friends, also on the weekend away, had an EP last year, she lost a tube and they are going for AC, though she doesn't tell us much about what is happening, and as she is quite private we don't tend to probe.

One other pal did ask if we were planning on having any. I answered "thinking about it.." and only the most perceptive would have spotted the beat before I answered. thank god for sunglasses.

Scorpette · 08/06/2010 20:25

Am here! Every time I've tried to post today I've got a 'don't recognise that URL' type message!

Have wanted to give big loves to Lyra and PapaLyra and wish him all the BESHt for a speedy refattening and getting well soon and give more big loves to Cam and also to handcuff BangersNMash to the bar so she can never leave. Nooooooooooooooooo!

Had needling today, all was/is good. But have just been inspecting lower incision (which is not easy, trying to peer over my pot belly) and it's gone all red and it feels really hard underneath and the skin is sort of rising up to engulf the knot and thread still sticking out, which cannot surely be right, so will be on phone to Lap ladies tomorrow asap It's been constantly itchy but I thought that was it healing, even though the top one hasn't been itchy. But the lower one keeps getting snagged by pants and fabric in general, so it could be that. Am allergic to antibiotics so farking hope it's not bloody infected

Ariesgirl · 08/06/2010 20:34

Um, am not doctor, Scorps. But doesn't a deep incision like that take time to heal from the inside out, and the red swollen stuff is scar tissue. When an incision is made (or even when you cut yourself deeply), you also bruise the skin badly and that's what aches. Does it throb in waves? Is it oozing yellow or green stuff? If so, it could be infected, but you've been keeping it clean and stuff haven't you? It's not like you're living in a Scutari hospital in the 1860s. And healing cuts do itch. But you ask your ladies all the same - they'll know more than I do.
