So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

xx

lucysnowe · 27/04/2010 09:59

Congrats bunny and margie!

Funny how these bfps are making me feel better.

I am going to buy some agnus castus today and speak to the doc next week about going back onto metformin. The only problem is that the lovely gp who initially prescribed it for me has left the practice, and the other docs might want me to hold off until things settle down... besides last time I did conceive without it. Meantime still no RTD so am looking out to see if maybe I ovulate 'again'. Fingers crossed.

AlbaDeTamble · 27/04/2010 10:17

Margie, I nearly cried when I read your post, so happy for you, after all you've been through recently it's so lovely to hear happy news from you.

And Bunny too, yay!

Let's keep it going, we'll all move down to the grads...

Talking of which, I've moved myself down, to make it more real. And to try to be positive, not anxious about it. We're not telling anyone in RL, so I feel like it hasn't happened, but the bells and whistles test this morning quite clearly said 'pregnant 2-3'

Where are tigerbear, limelight, Liahgen and Urd? Hiding away with good news??

List cleaning - still can't get on network, tech guys are working on it, have taken off Tigerbear, Limelight and Liaghen because they were over 45 days and not actively posting for a while, can put back on if reappear

Have added babies to the grads list because its good to see end results! Not all the grads are posting so there will be some gaps

am definitely procrastinating in work avoidance mode!!

Lots of love

Gi1da · 27/04/2010 11:19

Oh heavens! Bunny and Margie so delighted for you! Congratulations!

Such a fab run of differdom - well we ain't givin up till everyone's a winner!

Alba that's it, come on down!- might as well be positive!

Lovely Cheepz helloo! Any news on the job? Are they offering you something so fab it's almost embarrassing?

Big Mexican wave for MrsPretty - well, me at my desk lifting keys, notepad, pen, mobile, cup and mouse in order whilst doing a cheer.

Oh, for the list, I happened to notice that Icedlemon is on another thread and on a new cycle. I think you may as well take her off too. Well done you Cheepz for list cleaning. It always offended my sense of geekiness to see people languishing at the top when MIA. There would we be, faithfully counting their cycle days into the thousands when actually they've wandered off, had twins and are blissfully unaware!

BUnderTheBonnet · 27/04/2010 12:26

Hurrah!!!! runs round in dizzy excited circles well done Bunny! The thread's gone mad, in a good way!

BunnyBaby · 27/04/2010 13:18

Awwww thanks everyone! Still can't believe it as first two post mc cycles were really screwy and this is the only normal one.

Cheepz good listings, and so lovely to see baby names too! It all makes the successes all the more real.

Am taking it very easy. Forgot as I ran up steps at tube to avoid missing train. But remembered when on crowded train and asked able chap to give up seat. Was way to polite last time, but this time, I'm not doing it for me, someone far more important to take care of.

Pretty sorry to hear Magic disk did not work in craptop. Could send round Magic Wabit, but she would make things worse by eating your cables and trying to dig a hole in the carpet.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 27/04/2010 13:30

Well done Bunny! Sparkly too as I can't remember if I congratulated you! This is great news ladies! So pleased for you all and wishing you all an very uneventful 8 & a bit months!

RIGHT, best get a jog on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done Cheepz for list cleaning - lovely to see baby names up there

Have a lovely sunny day ladies!!!!! xxx

digitalgirl · 27/04/2010 13:41

Oh wow, Bunny too, how wonderful!

It really is so good seeing so many of you get pregnant again. Gives the rest of us hope.

After having a little think about yesterday's findings I've decided to give up alcohol and caffeine completely (was nearly there anyway). I'm going to start eating healthier. No more biscuits and will limit my chocolate intake. Will attempt low GI insofar as no more white bread, mash and chips. Can anyone recommend a good Low GI book?

I know none of these things would necessarily prevent a MC, but I want to make sure I'm as healthy and balanced as possible so that I know I've done as much as I can.

I'm quite keen to balance my hormones and regulate my cycles and bring them down to less than 37 days. Has anyone ever taken Evening Primrose? It mentions it in the Zita West book as something you can take in the first half of your cycle.

Once everything's a bit more settled in the Digi-House we're going to follow Sparkly's tried and tested method of lots of SWI. I'm a CM/CP watcher too. And if we manage to get co-sleeping DS out of our bed and into my mum's I might even try temping.

Freezingmyarseoff · 27/04/2010 13:54

Wow, I can hardly keep up with BFPs yay to Bunny and lol at the magic wabit sorting out Pretty's craptop

all this good news has got me dancing round the room

clareanna · 27/04/2010 14:13

lucy just popped on quickly - would be worth checking with a doc/pharmacist before taking agnus castus to check it isn't contra-indicated for metaformin, herbal meds can interfere with conventional meds, so if you're on conventional medication it's better to be safe!

Cheepz · 27/04/2010 17:24

ooooh my insider at the company I inteviewed with just texted to say that they have got an offer approved internally - package and so on, so the guy who interviewed me might call today?! or maybe tomorrow depending on how busy he is... eeeek

sorry for totally no ttc related update hey cheepz dontcha know this thread is about babymaking, less of your life beyond ttc chit chat

viv looking for some sore boobs - or at least tingly ones, and maybe some implantation spotting roundabout now? come onnnn theres got to be some little symptoms there somewhere ooh ooh I have a craving for dark chocolate maybe I am upbuffed ... whoops forgot I havent had sex for about 3 months

ladies at the top of the list any more for anymore = don't be shy now lets have some testing action!!

Margie32 · 27/04/2010 17:35

Alba I nearly cried when I read your message about how you nearly cried when you read mine! Does that make any sense?

Thanks to all of you for all your good wishes, it really does mean a lot to me. Life after MC was a very dark lonely place, and you've helped me feel like life can be a whole lot sunnier.

VivClicquot · 27/04/2010 17:38

Boob status: Still kind of sore. I feel like I've been for a run with no sports bra. It's like a constant tenderness and heavyness.

Other non-symptoms: Beaucoup de mid-afternoon yawning. Between 3pm and 4pm seems to be my weak spot.

No spotting. No twinges. No rogue CM.

I'm really really fecking bored of this 2WW. It's fecking tedious.

OP posts:
PrettyVacant1 · 27/04/2010 17:42

Right back at ya Gi1da

Any help, bunny included would be better than the state craptop is currently in Bunny
Maybe Magic digging up the carpet will distract MrG from launching said artical outa the window.

Well I've been a busy bee today!
Cleaned house, done lots of washing and put it all away.
Don't do ironing.
See what I can do when I'm not sat on my arse on MN all day.
Now I have a clean house and MrG hopefully brings home a bettera magic disk that's what I plan to do tomorrow!

I'm now going to t'pub for tea and some wine.
Hey, I deserve it.

As you can see I am not being good at the mo.
Red wine and chocolate is good for you isn't it?
Steak has iron in it and I'll be having peas and a tomato!
No?

Waves to all x

sparkly and Pretty - Thanks for looking at the exhibition. I know the fairies are a bit mean looking! I have no responsibility for the content - just making it accessible to education groups and families which I can tell you has been a bit interesting! We launch on Sat so finger's crossed the final install goes OK.

bunny great news on your BFP! I want to be next to sit on the pregnancy chair please! Send it up to Yorkshire first class.

cheepz I worked at home today too - hope you got connected in the end? Thanks for the list cleaning.

digitalgirl I admire your commitment - no chips, chocolate - all the best things . I admire your resolve!

Viv How many more days on the 2WW? Hang in there!

linda Good on you buying some things to cheer yourself up and hope the appointment goes well.

BunnyBaby · 27/04/2010 20:29

cheepz great news on the job, new job, new baby!

viv my boobs were fuller but not sore, just more of a handful. Now I have bfp they're hurting a little. Sounds very positive!

wyg will flick some over the pennines as off to mum & dad's this weekend.

linda clothes always a good strategy, for guaranteeing pregnancy. splurged last weekend, and hey ho, a new wardrobe which won't fit very soon, all being well.

digitalgirl · 27/04/2010 21:11

WYG woah, have only just started today so will see how this next week goes. And I'm limiting choc intake, not giving up completely.

So far have turned down a triple chocolate biscuit and a viennese whirl.

Next week is the department's team night out. They're all alcoholics. It's going to be a real test.

Then the week after I have a girlie night out with all the preggos. Am dreading it but I know I shouldn't back out. I can't let having a miscarriage (or two) start defining who I can and can't socialise with.

cheepz oooh very exciting to hear that a 'package' is being put together for you. Hope it's massive with lots of golden handshake type attachments (sounds a bit oo-er missus that).

viv not long to go till the end of your 2ww. Are you one of those early testers or do you wait till you're late?

linda I'd asked recently about aspirin and progesterone. You can take a dose of junior aspirin daily once you're past ovulation - theoretically it thins the blood to stop it clotting and preventing the implanted egg from being deprived of oxygen. Worth asking about, but if you've had children already then it's unlikely that was the cause of your last miscarriage. I'm not sure how progesterone is given (I thought it was a cream), but it's usually prescribed if they suspect you're not producing enough progesterone in your luteal phase which helps to thicken the lining of your womb.

LadyBee · 27/04/2010 22:19

bunnybaby hoorah!! fabbo news, I hope you get to have an uneventful next few months - well done!!

prettvacant step away from the hoover (leave some of that babydust for me),

So, brushing aside all pleasantries, I've had great gobs of what I would normally call EWCM the last couple of days, and sort of achey/periody feeling today. I got such a shock when I saw it, all the old 'tonight's the night' feelings rushed back. I haven't told DH though, I don't feel ready to have sex yet, but don't want to use contraception when we do so will wait and see what happens over the next few days. I did start temping again and have started taking my metformin again too. Oh and the folic acid.

However, am still eating crap. Not quite ready to move into full-scale healthy stuff yet.

littlemiss72 · 28/04/2010 06:46

Morning all, up early getting ready for my big interview.. thought I'd update the list for today!

Good morning Troops.

Good luck with your interview LittleMissy
Knock 'em dead!

Craptop has been fixed!
Yeah!
Clever MrG "stripped it right back" and did a few other magical things that involved swearing and huffing for a while.
Not that I'm actually on it now, that would mean getting out if bed!

Oooo, quick question to y'all.
Is it normal for boobs to bloody throb and have stabbing pains 3-4 DPO?
The last few days they've been making me go "oooo!" and rub them in public

I can't even lie on my tummy.

Bloody hell, the cat has worked out I'm still in the house and is now trying to dig his way through the bedroom door and yowling at me.
He must be hungry, we don't feed him you see.
MrG's parting words this morning was don't give him any more for a bit ,as he'd just devoured 2 pouches.

he's gone back down stairs.
Grace, elegance, poise.
He has none of that, sounded like a bin bag being lobbed down the stairs.

Must get up now and stop neglecting my boy.
