Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

OP posts:
Gi1da · 27/02/2010 21:50

Viv, sorry, SIL not MIL. Too many acronyms for one day IYSWIM! LOL!

Allthe8s · 27/02/2010 22:01

Hi Redandyellow & floweringcurrant - sorry you are here but we are here with cakes and wine daily x

Littlemiss - did you find your way out of primarche? How's the rock looking? Sunglasses on ? Many congrats to you x

So so sorry jollster - passing you the wine....x

Gi1da me too am approaching the window but am going to be missing it which I know is probably for the best but is still very frustrating. I want to be 100% and I think another couple of weeks will be better. Take time to get better if you have been really poorly and just think at least you wont have 2 weeks of wondering am I? Which I feel kinda takes the pressure off.....just a teeny tiny bit. x

Clareanna - how are you doing now???? Well done for making it out, if I feel remotely low I can't leave the house for fear of snot and tears.

Hippy I bled for about 14 days after erpc and now have the longest AF on EARTH!!!!!! Bored now.

Good on you Viv!

Muser I have some Shloer too???? Not quite the same but I can pour it in a wine glass for you?

Also waving to all the other ladies just about to make popcorn and watch The Breakup AAAgain, Vince Vaughan cracks me up though. xxxx

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 27/02/2010 22:18

Thanks for the welcome all. I had to step away from the pregnancy tests in Boots today, it's waaaaaaaay too early and I don't need to put myself through that. I did linger and look for a good while though, sometimes it's like picking a scab, you know it's going to hurt but you do it anyway!

Cheepz · 28/02/2010 08:22

hello ladies, just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Seems abit more positive than last week which is good, although sad news about jolls and we miss her on the grads, I think we all worry that we will be back to a certain extent .. I worry about it alot, although have reached 6 weeks so thats a good milestone (passed both previous mc's), and will be seeing doctor and getting early scan in a weeks time.

viv keeping my eye on you - fingers crossed hon

all ladies near the top, heres hoping
all the ladies in the middle - keep your dh pecker up
all the ladies at the bottom - every new cycle is a new chance

G1lda I have currently a worrying Dr Who thing going on at night...

Hopefully · 28/02/2010 11:36

Morning! Just checking in, haven't read back. I just wanted to whinge that 2010 has not been kind to me so far. It's not even march yet and I have had:

  • One miscarriage
  • Proper, good old fashioned flu
  • A horrific ear infection
  • Probable gastric flu
  • DS with horrific ear infection just as gastric flu began to rear its head in my life

I am beginning to suspect that someone's got a voodoo doll with my name on it! I haven't been well for a single day for nearly 3 weeks now...

Welcome to all the new people, sorry you find yourselves here, but hope you're able to use all the wonderful support and humour that this lovely thread has to offer.

Apologies for any list errors... Updating on iPhone, it's a bit fiddly

hopefully I do hope your day's picked up. Just remember you're due a lovely run of good luck now!

moofold have you tested? It's horrid this wtf cycle, I've felt like AF imminent for a few days now, get a tiny bit of spotting, then nothing. Then same all over again. And I have no exciting desire to test though. There's an outside chance I could be but I think I'd be petrified so am assuming I'm not (wishing I were, but not yet, iyswim)

hippy was it you talking about the song 'I just haven't met you yet'? It nearly gave me a blubbing in the shops moment today... Someone was singing it outside Primark, had to struggle to hold it together as was with DSD and she'd have been mortified!

Welcome, sadly, to flowering and redandyellow, have added you on to the list.

urd · 28/02/2010 18:00

No tears today, feeling more positive, going to wait till AF to arrive and then after ttc. Hubby will be pleased although he has been an absolute rock. Thanks to all you guys this week, it has really helped through tough times. Here's to happy times ahead! Here's the VINO pass it round.

clareanna · 28/02/2010 18:09

a bit Off TOpic here -but anyone else's DH's think that they're still 18?! mine went out last night, ended up gate crashing my 23 yr old's sisters night and rolled in at 4.30am. He has been about as much use as a chocolate teapot today.
grrr - I'm just jealous!

Muser · 28/02/2010 18:16

I just got called by the nurse at my EPU checking I was ok. Phoned up Friday night as I'd started spotting and wanted to check that was ok. It is ok, just a sign that my hormone levels are falling. It's nice to know they're keeping an eye on things and following up.

urd · 28/02/2010 20:26

MUSER- that's nice when that happens, makes you feel like they are really interested in how you are doing. When I had ERPC last Saturday the nurses on my ward were really kind. The sister said she had had 2MC before so new exactly how I felt. Hope you are ok.

Allthe8s · 28/02/2010 20:49

Just popping in to say hi quickly - hope everyone has had a nice relaxing Sunday and is looking forward to March and Spring being round the corner. Here's to a better week Ladies

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Moofold · 28/02/2010 21:29

Alba - yes, I tested. No surprises BFN. I knew it would have taken a miracle but still feels shit. I put off testing for a bit so that I could have a wee daydream of it being positive but no such luck.

I then endured the worst cramps for years but still no AF. So feeling optimistic I peed on a OPK instead in case it was OV pains. Also fucking negative!! Really hacked off in this no man's land now - I hope you get better results yourself.

Lets hope March is a good month for us all

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 28/02/2010 22:24

Hope everyone has had a chillout day today. I have stayed at home and done a lot of cooking (and eating!)

Here are my stats, hope this is right:

TTC#1 UCL30 cycle1 CD23

AlbaDeTamble · 01/03/2010 08:28

moofold I tested too, had one last ultra sensitive cheapy test left. BFN. If it was going to happen this month would be positive by now. I suppose at least I can be disappointed now and it won't be quite so sad when AF appears ? Wish she'd just hurry up and arrive now.

Here's to a beautiful spring morning and a fertile month with lots of Christmas babies for us all

VivClicquot · 01/03/2010 09:16

Morning lovelies,

It's a gorgeous sunny spring day in Manchester - it definitely feels like we're moving towards sunnier times, both literally and metaphorically speaking.

Once again, am frantically trying to NOT symptom spot but couldn't help it, as I felt as rough as a badger's arse yesterday - woke up with terrible lower back ache and spent all day doing rancid sick burps (what IS the technical name for them? Is it reflux?) so my mind is naturally going into overdrive. Still, que sera sera and all that.

Love to you all. Hope you all have a lovely first day of March.

xxx

Unbuffy · 01/03/2010 10:26

ooh ooh fingers crossed vivcliquot, sounds good!

Clareanna my dh swings between being very grown up and sensible and about 55 and being a sulky bury-head-in-sand 15 year old. Drives me MAAAAD. Wish he WOULD go out and get ratted / express some feelings relax a bit- know he is devastated by m/c but he won't talk about it. to anyone. ever. Men bah humbug

Hopefully · 01/03/2010 10:26

Morning! I'm still feeling insanely awful, but TBH I'm so used to it now I've given up all hope of being able to do anything but lie on the sofa in a stupor while DS is at the childminder (am self employed, so should be working).

I can't even begin to symptom spot as I've got so many aches and pains and grumbles that I don't think I'd know a pregnancy one from an illness one now! The only thing I can say with any certainty is that my biggest symptom with both previous PGs was (sorry, TMI) major constipation, and what with the gastric flu, that is definitely not the case at the moment. Still got a good few days before AF, but I'm not getting my hopes up - my body would have to be crazy to allow me to conceive while I'm so under the weather, surely!

Sorry for those of you on WTF cycles - I was lucky that mine wasn't too bad (only a couple of days longer than normal, and with no ovulation at all that I was aware of), but it must be so crap waiting for things to get back to normal.

CCBloom · 01/03/2010 10:44

Wow just been reading back on the last few days and it looks like I've missed out on some serious amounts of vino. I'll have to remember to pop in on a weekend evening in future for some nourishment!

I survived the babyshower I had to go to on Saturday and actually it was really lovely but I think I was the only woman of childbearing age there who wasn't pregnant or running after a child of their own. My MIL-to be came for suppport which I really appreciated. Can't help but think that I'll be too cautious next time round to contemplate a baby shower before the little one arrives? Who knows I may surprise myself! As an attempt to demonstrate to my DP that I can think of something other than ttc we went to a gig on Saturday night. It was fun but I couldn't help but think I wasn't enjoying it as much as I used to and I was also trying to hold back on the drinking without being too obvious as I think he wants reassurance that I'm still me if that makes sense? Anyway I managed to hide the few tears I had in the dark when the gig was on as I think the presence of babies and pregnant women earlier that day had overwhelmed me.

Still in no woman's land at the moment waiting for AF to make an appearance. Thought all the symptoms were starting yesterday and that 1st March would seem like a good time to start looking forward but so far nothing. The day is young and very bright so hopefully she'll make an appearance today. Also counting down the days to Thursday as that's when I'll get my blood test results and know whether we can ttc on our own schedule or whether I'll need the rubella vaccination renewed and a 1-2 month ban is essential - there's so much waiting involved although I know it'll all be worth it in the end!!

Gi1da · 01/03/2010 11:46

Good morning all, thank heavens its a beautiful sunny spring day here today. Its been a weekend of gloom in our house (various reasons) so I am really hoping that Feckin Bleedin Awful February is well and truly gone, and we can start afresh with New Beginnings March.

Hopefully - sorry to hear you've been blatted by sickness too - lots of fluids and take it easy. Its a bugger when you're self employed, really takes the edge off calling in sick... "Sorry me, I can't make it today, you'll just have to cope without me" Hope you feel better soon.

Unbuffy - re Dr W - quite reasonable I'd say

CCBloom - good luck with the results and bloody well done on getting through Saturday! They really should hand out 'get-out-off-maternity-related-social-events-free' cards at the EPU.

Wishing you all a better week x

So glad the sun is out today feeling more positive.

Well done CC for surviving the baby shower and for Muser for putting yourself on the list.

Off to make egg carton daffodils with the mindees for St Davids Day.

Hi All
I have been skimming through this wall, lurking really. You all are so amazing. I had a MC on 14Feb - first pregnancy and we were so very excited to be expecting. My baby would have been due 1 Oct, and my BF at work is pregnant and her baby is due 7 Oct - I really want to be a good friend and help her through her pregnancy but at times I feel like crying cos Im not pregnant anymore. How soon can I start trying again? No AF yet...
Thanks
x
