Welcome wannabeamum, sorry you're here... Advice I was given is to start trying as soon as you're ready, you could be fertile now... Good luck!

CCBloom · 01/03/2010 16:49

Wannabeamum - so sorry that you have found yourself here. I was told by my GP that I should at least wait for the bleeding to stop and he advised waiting 2 cycles but that was mainly due to the problems it can cause with trying to work out your dates. I think it's a case of knowing yourself when you're ready to try again. I had my MC at the beginning of Feb and was due 24th September so we are quite close in our dates. I am still waiting for AF and that has given me some time to think about things. My first urge was just to want to be pregnant again straight away but now I am trying to take a little bit of time to come to terms with what has happened - everyone is different though.

Dirtgirl · 01/03/2010 17:03

Wannabeamum, sorry you had to come here, but I hope it gives you some support.

I wanted to get pg straight away too, but I've not been able to face trying. Perhaps next month. I think I need a bit of time. A bit like you CC.

wannabeamum · 01/03/2010 17:22

Thanks everyone it is interesing to see how others are feeling - I am thinking I would like AF to come and then I think I will feel 'clean' and ready to try again. But I have to admit I am pretty scared that it could happen again. I will be 34 this year, and I know that isnt 'old' but I would like to start my family as soon as I can!

urd · 01/03/2010 18:15

Hello Wannabeamum, I have only been on here a week and I find it so comforting every day, hope you do to.
My stats are TTC#3 UCL28 CYCLE WTF
I hope I have entered this right, all new to me, not much of a whizz on a computer.Hope everyone has a good week.

randomimposter · 01/03/2010 19:43

Hi all

Didn't get my ERPC yesterday... "no beds", so have to wait til March 9th. But have started bleeding, though not heavy, so maybe I won't get to ERPC this time? Had a beautiful morning doing fun stuff with DS in the gorgeous weather. Then had a very large glass of vino, a huge chunk of Gruyere and half a block of pate for lunch. Have to make the most of this shittiness don't we my friends?

Hope everyone doing ok. Can't bear the waiting around, am missing my big brother's birthday week away in Bude because of this. Frankly it's pantaloons...

AlbaDeTamble · 01/03/2010 19:50

Jollster that's really hard... I couldn't bear the wait, was at v similar stage to you... Thought I should post just in case you have medical insurance. Doesn't cover pregnancy but they all cover you when it goes wrong. I had my ERPC privately. Always thought it was the kind of crisis the NHS was there to see us through but was proved wrong

liahgen66 · 01/03/2010 19:53

hi everyone,

gosh you've all been very busy.

Welcome to the newbies, and bugger that I missed all the wine.

Well i've had 2 births since Thursday, I had the lady Friday morning then a cliet who was a little early had her baby yesterday morning. Twas a lovely birth after a very frightening experience the 2nd time around.

I also had a client who i supported couple years ago text me to say her 2nd dd was born at noon today.

and my friend had a bba (born before arrival, (of mw) ) at home Friday morning after 25 minutes I kid you not, of labour. A beautiful little boy.

So yesterday evening i was well ready for my bed.

Watched my ds's dancing school's student showcase last night. Was great and inspiring to watch. All these young people doing their own thing and really enjoying themselves.

On the ttc side, still no bloody period. What's that all about, have made appt to see gp but can't get in till next monday, it'll be 6 and half wks since erpc then. Did anyone else have long break before period arrived after erpc? I might put a thread up.

Still swi every other night/day, although the logistics of that were tricky over the weekend with me being away for most of it. Am grabbing dh tonight.

Hi girls, what a lovely day today! Spring is in the air at last.

Welcome to the newbies, sorry you have found yourself here We are however a very supportive bunch of wine swilling chocolate munching girlies always there to support you.

I'm symptom spotting even though I know the chances of being pregnant so soon after is very unlikely. AF due this week all being well, think I'll just be relieved to get back on track so to speak.

Faced with two large pregnant women at work today looking forward to their maternity leave, made me feel very sad. It comes and goes doesn't it.. you think your fine and coping with your loss then bang it's in your face all over again.

Back in the gym again at lunchtime, I did the spinning class and nearly died you'd have been proud of me trying to style it out whilst hyperventilating on a flipping bike.

Sorry to hear you having to wait jollster that's horrid, big ((hugs)) for you honey!

Get you lia ya little minx back to 'it's fun trying' all meant in jest of course.

wannabe little steps, must be hard having someone due so close be gentle on yourself.

Off the wine all week now so hide all the bottles from me, my body is a temple..well until Friday anyway.

Love to you all x x x

Alba thanks. Ironic I spent too many bloody years covered by Med Ins working too bloody hard ever to be sick and utilise it. Now I could do with it, I'm unemployed! Or a SAHM or however we're allowed to label it these days!

lia I got mine last time exactly one calendar month later. Can imagine you are frustrated. Where the blimmin heck is it!?

Would like a BFP to coo over please. Who's going to make my day!

Have a good one everyone - it's another lovely day on the South Coast today.

Hopefully · 02/03/2010 08:55

I am quite tempted to POAS today, even though (a) I have missed the chance to do it first thing (b) I still have 3 or 4 days before I'm even due and (c) DP and I have SWI precisely twice this month, possibly after I OV'd . Wishful thinking, anyone?

Jollster I'm on the South coast too, it's beautiful here today! Sorry you weren't able to have your ERPC, how crap. Sounds like you're being v brave about it though.

Wannabeamum welcome, sorry you find yourself here though.

I am finally healthy(ish) again, so have grand plans to spend the day catching up on all the boring domestic things that didn't get done while I was ill (DP tried, bless him, but doing all the housework and childcare and caring for me was a bit of a big task!). Also hoping to get some work done, but only have childcare till 3:30, so who knows how much will actually get crossed off the (very long) list.

wannabeamum · 02/03/2010 09:08

Morning all I'm just off to the hospital for hopefully the last time for a while. Have to have a preg test there and then I'm discharged. They have been really good with me - I was crying so much when I was there last time and they were really gentle. I work for two men so I think they think I should be over it by now and seem very unhappy that I'm not in work this morning - hey ho. Thanks for a great welcome, all this wine and choc is very welcome!

hippychick66 · 02/03/2010 09:19

lia points to you for your dedication (and of course your DH who must be knackered - but smiling .

I am desperate to move to the south coast - preferably IOW - so am envious of you ladies who live down that way. We will get to the Island - eventually!

I think i had egg whites yesterday (day 14 if EPRC is day 1). Difficult to be sure as there is still blood, but it was kind of mixed together (sorry if your eating breakfast!!)

If I don't stop bleeding from the procedure how the hecky peck am I meant to know when AF arrives - or am I being nieve and it will be obvious cos it will be much heavier!!

We didn't swi even though I got the egg white cos they told me not to do 'it' until the bleeding had stopped. Plus I want to have one AF before we try - just to be sure all the stuff that needs to go has gone.

For the purposes of my research, do I count the day I get Egg white as ov day or does it just mean you are about to ov. I got only a faint second line on the cheapie ov sticks. Any advise gladly received please???

Off to work now - will check in later. Have a nice day ladies. Newbies, be patient it does get a bit easier each day

CCBloom · 02/03/2010 09:40

Well stage one of my waiting is over, AF arrived yesterday afternoon and strangely enough I felt quite relieved. I think because this means I am now a step closer to being able to ttc again. Roll on stage two on Thursday when my blood tests are due to confirm whether I need the rubella vaccination renewing. I have read that most women don't need the booster so just wondering if any of you have had the test and found the vaccine was still in your system? At least I can know confirm that I am TTC#1, UCL 28 days, cycle 1, CD2

Hopefully · 02/03/2010 10:42

Hippychick my DP used to live on the IOW, I used to go down there every weekend . Ahhh, the memories . It's a bit bleak in winter as it all shuts down, but it is just the loveliest place from about March till October. As long as you don't have to get public transport - the buses are insanely expensive! FWIW, I count the egg whitey day as OV day, but since we've gone with the 'shag every other day from about day 8 till day 20' method of conception, I don't panic too much about it (I've fallen pregnant twice like this in a total of five months of trying, so it must work a bit!)

Good luck at the hosp wannabe, and ignore your silly male colleagues, they don't have a clue.

Goodluckbear · 02/03/2010 11:37

Hi all,

I feel like I've missed everything and am too slow to catch up - pages of posts from over the weekend! I just wanted to drop in though and say hi to new guys, sorry about what you're going through.

Jollster - I'm so sorry, really sorry, that this has happened again. There are no platitudes, I hope you are getting lots of hugs in RL.

I have a paranoid question to ask - just for your opinions - I am on a health drive at the moment (only thing I feel I have control over!) and am doing a big workout everyday. On the remote off chance (as think we missed our chance actually when I look back on it) that I did conceive, say, last week - do you think it's ok to keep doing loads of exercise, or would it shake it all loose? I would NEVER ask such a crazy lady question before, but now I only have to pull a muscle and I assume I've done myself a mischief and will never conceive again. Er, what's wrong with me, am a loon!!

xxxxxxxxxxx

Goodluckbear · 02/03/2010 11:51

P.S. I also meant to say, in response to the issue of DHs not wanting to know about ovulation because of "being under pressure" - that's why I think we missed the boat last week, as I made a big deal about it and that put him off. I will not be making a big deal about it next month, I'm just going with the every other day approach and not tell him why.....

xxxxxxxx

Muser · 02/03/2010 12:15

Exercise away Goodluckbear, you won't shake anything loose.

I had huge amounts of bleeding last night, which has calmed down today. I think the methotrexate is working. More blood tests tomorrow to measure my HCG levels. I am hoping for a quick return to Not Pregnant as officially my 3 month TTC ban doesn't start until the treatment has properly worked and I can start taking folic acid again.

VivClicquot · 02/03/2010 12:32

Goodluckbear - I did the Manchester 10km run last May whilst unknowingly being 6 weeks pregnant. (We didn't find out until I was 7 weeks.) The midwife I spoke to after I found out said it wouldn't be an issue at all and actively encouraged me to keep running, as keeping fit and healthy can only be good during pregnancy.

VivClicquot · 02/03/2010 12:34

ps. 10 dpo here and I'm so frikkin bored of waiting either a) for AF to show or b) to test. Lots of odd twinges here and there but nothing else to report. Bored bored bored.

Pollybloodyanna · 02/03/2010 13:00

Jollster I think I remember from speaking to you before (may have been in my old name) that you live in Brighton? i do too!

Sorry you ahve to wait for your erpc, I did too, but then it all happened naturally.

Goodluckbear, I've been thinking about the whole swi thing, and don't think that partners should be allowed to be put off if we tell them we are ovulating! I think it is really childish, and also why shouldn't dps share the stress of this a bit? Anyway, I told dh this, and he has been alot better recently - even making the first move sometimes!

Still no period here - i'm about 31 days after mc, and no signs of anything (including ovulation). I just wish af would come now so I knew what was happening. I'll probaby be one of those people that waits 8 weeks though.

Good luck to everyone else - anyone due to test this week?

VivClicquot · 02/03/2010 13:04

I am. AF due on Sat so trying to resist doing anything foolish testing between now and then.

wannabeamum · 02/03/2010 13:10

I was told by my GP to stop going to the gym once I found out i was expecting. It seemed really weird to me, but I did as I was told and all I have to show for it is a rather chubby belly! I shant be listening to that again. Goodluckbear you have inspired me to hit the gym tonight!
