Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

OP posts:
Gi1da · 22/03/2010 09:23

ooops a BPF is closely related to a BFP by the way. Bountifully Pregnant Foo-foo?

Unbuffy · 22/03/2010 09:44

Testing soon but being very very good to not try too early as a) can't afford more tests than have got in the cupboard and b) don't particularly want to see that bfn if I can avoid it. Would far rather test for confirmation if at all possible . But who knows what's going on at the moment. No signs of anything at all going on round here!

Here's some experimental chilli chocolate truffles I made on Saturday to pass out. Now, who was it baked yesterday [hopeful emoticon]...?

Goodluckbear · 22/03/2010 10:35

Hi Mumsie and Jules - glad you came here, but sorry it's a sad time . Sometimes it is a bit lonely in RL if those around you don't understand the loss. The ladies here have often been the only ones who get what I'm on about, slightly concerned that some may be mind-readers (mostly concerned for them, as I am quite insane and assume no one would genuinely want to read my mind).

Elmmum - bigs hugs, hope the day gets better.

And Bigmuther - big hugs for you too.

MrsG - hope we don't have to rename today "Day of Hell" (DoH for short) - have you got that meeting with HR today? Good luck for that, keep coming on here for a rant if you like.

WestYorks, your post just reminded me so much of me about two weeks ago. (Don't mean to pretend that it's the same, obviously not, but I think we've been in synch with a lot of stuff so whenever you write stuff I think - oh yes, she's one of the mind reader ones, she knows exactly what I'm thinking). When I got my second period post mc (and had obviously - despite PMT - convinced myself could be pg again) I started balling my eyes out in front of my fitness class. Fortunately all women. I literally said "I have to go home now because I've got my period", and cried and cried all the way home. I thought the first one was bad, but the second was worse (and heavy, and more painful). And it's so shit.

Hi to Jollster and Barrenbrook, and everyone else (I forgot to take notes from the weekend's posts, but I did read them all and I am thinking of you all). Unbuffy - experimental chocolate is right up my street, lovely.

Viv - what's the chat?? High fives for a French bean!!

xxxxxxx

spottysox · 22/03/2010 11:36

Hello lovely ladies,
thank you all so much for thinking of me. Didn't go for the erpc, have a scan booked for next Monday to check what's what so FX. Won't go into detail as I don't want to stir bad memories but everything seems to be ok so far.
I too feel lonely in RL and it is greatly comforting to know that this group is here for support/hugs/advice etc at such a sad time. I feel lucky to have found you and think you are incredibly brave and generous to care about peolple you don't know when your own difficult experiences are still fresh and still healing within.
Anyway enough mushy stuff.
Hussy Cat update still can't find kittens, think they may be in the garage but it's full of junk DH's stuff, so can't look properly.

mumsie123 · 22/03/2010 11:50

Hi everyone,

I went to my GP today, she is going to book me in at the EPU and it think they will give me a scan.

Im really scared just sitting at home waiting for phone call to see when to go up.

AlbaDeTamble · 22/03/2010 12:54

Big tub of caramel cracklepops on my desk, any takers?

Just read first page of this thread, Liahgen predicted twins before 999 posts... We're not far off now, so waiting for a flurry of BFPs or maybe redandyellow or floweringcurrant popping back in with exciting news from early scans!

I'm busy planning Easter hols lastminute skiing trip to cheer me up if BFN this month... Could become a very expensive year if I'm not up-duffed soon if this is setting the standard for cheer me up treats!

So sorry for those of you still going through early days of pain, confusion, sadness, fear and grief... Bubble baths, weeping, white wine* and chocolate do all help.
Putting on a brave face doesn't, so feel free to rant!

(*red wine for me still tasted like vinegar till I got my first BFN... and others found the same)

big waves to all... whether you're hiding from the world or back to optimism and the joys of spring

Afternoon all,

Updated the list for today, spring has sprung so it would be lovely to have couple of BFP's.

Question: OV pain, for the last two cycles post erpc it's been more painful than usual, is this normal.? Guessing not so have booked into the docs tomorrow for an examination something certainly doesn't feel right and I'm starting to get a little worried.

Been doing the swi since Thursday and have had the occasional twinge, never have before so it's ringing alarm bells now. anyone else had any experience of this?

< grabs the cracklepops and runs>

littlemiss72 · 22/03/2010 13:21

Doh.. just seen the stats updated

Unbuffy · 22/03/2010 13:26

oo oo me can i have twins? [buffy starts whittling at rod for own back].

Someone had better hurry up and have a bfp soon, its been aaaages [whips out serious specs to examine stats list]. Hmmmm... last bfp 8th March! That's two WHOLE weeks ago. Who's at the top of the list, and what news? [Looks at Moofold, Mummy369, Northlondonchoclover RunForTheHills, yogamat, sunburntats, NoShouting, Tigerbear, Allthe8s and dirtgirl over the top of serious specs librarian-wise]. I'm starting to get twitchy about testing mesself, but there's all these folk above me on the list, and I must wait my turn ...

[Buffy looks at everybody above herself on list speculatively, trying to see if any seem bigger around the middle and are avoiding wine/blue cheese/men]

Waves to newbies, and to see you here. We'll all get onto the grads list in the end. Meantime, here is a good place to be.

[buffy tries to restrain manic chipperness and return to zenlike calm state. fails horribly.]

Allthe8s · 22/03/2010 13:55

Hi Ladies, been lurking for a few days as have been on a rollercoaster of emotions. Feel totally and utterly shit today to be frank and it is hard to talk to anyone as no-one really understand the mental torture of that hope building and being snatched away. BF had baby at weekend (Which I am chuffed about btw) RTD came today (have given up trying to convince myself its implantation bleeding!) along with a letter from the hospital about a Rememberance service next month for dd2, born 10 months ago today. Off to cry into my jacket spud

I promise to come back later and be less self indulgent as I know sone of you ladies are having a tough time right now xx

Oh bugger Allthe8s so sorry you're having such a hard time. There's homemade Nigella's Chocolate&Guinness cake down here at the bottom of the list, with a side helping of Irish coffee to help it go down. And a big box of clean hankies too. In fact, its all boxed up as a takeaway, so here off with you to find a quiet spot to yourself. Look after yourself and DH, hope things feel easier soon.

littlemiss72 · 22/03/2010 14:25

HUGS Allthe8s so sorry your having such a tough time right now. Lots of TLC and that lovely virtual comfort package hunni x x x

clareanna · 22/03/2010 17:00

allthe8s if there's one place that can understand that mental torture and will listen it's here- I think everyone has good and totally shite days. If it's any help I'm nearing the end of my tww and actually found myself squeezing my boobs to see if they were bigger whilst in the queue at a kids themepark. (which could have got me arrested in he USA!) The emotional rollercoaster is exhausting ( not just real ones!) I am pretty certain my RTD is about to start, but that doesn't stop me hoping against hope. Big hug to you. X

clareanna · 22/03/2010 17:06

Stop me please! all this talk of testing has got me considering a quick trip to a pharmacy before we fly home... Have got a nice CB waiting at home to crush my hopes test with argh!!!

barrenbrook · 22/03/2010 17:35

Allthe8s Sorry you're feeling shitty chick and that got you, sending you lots of love (and chocolate and wine)

Clareanna P*ssing myself about you groping your own boobs (and breathing a sigh of relief that it's not just me that gropes ones own bosom!!)

Mumsie123 Any news on the EPU appointment?

littlemiss Hope the docs appointment goes well tomorrow matey and that there's nothing to worry about. Good to go and get it checked out though if you have a hunch something ain't what it should be.

Hello to everyone else (barrenbrook waves then sneaks off with cracklepops)

AlbaDeTamble · 22/03/2010 17:45

But we're as hopeful for good news as you are Clareanna... Maybe HPTs less hideously expensive over there so testing would be a bargain ?

sorry to see you both at the start of the rollercoaster again gi1da and allthe8s

I sat through a meeting this afternoon trying to figure out if I felt sick from too many cakes, pmt or early pregnancy, mustn't get my hopes up!

As for the ov pain littlemiss, some people get it every month and others say your cycle can change completely after any pregnancy... I was getting cramps and backache a few days after when I think should have been ov. What's that about?

Thanks for taking the cracklepops, a few less of those and I'll stop feeling nauseous and getting excited!

Unbuffy · 22/03/2010 19:01

All the best allthe8s - it can only get better from here on. Sorry to hear you're feeling it, all that at once sucks. And don't forget it's YOU that's having a tough time at the moment as well, y'know, so don't go away or we won't be able to look after you!

Clareanna every time I sit down at the computer i start groping me boobs. (well, it's something to do ) But that's in private, not in front of 60 million Americans... Testing is also occupying my thoughts heavily, can't decide whether/when to do the deed. But dh has gone to visit his parents until tomorrow lunchtime, and I said i wouldn't while he's away, so that pretty much rules out right now, first wee tomorrow, etc. Sooooo. Do I wait for the witch and keep getting hopes up, or do I just do it, dammit. Hmmm...

Littlemiss good luck for tomorrow

Mumsie hope you're feeling a wee bit better (vain hope I know) but sorry to see you here after the testing threads. 'Tis not the right way around. Good luck at the epu

Spotty CAN WE HAVE A HUSSEYKITTEN pleeease! Kittens to cuddle might be just what this thread needs. And virtual cats can't possibly make me sneeze, can they? (I love cats. My sinusesesses (sorry word went weird) unfortunately don't.)

Alba how are skiiing plans going ?

Hi Barrenbrook, Gilda, GLB, MrsG and anyone else who knows me (as they say) [frantic waving and pointing at self in loony fashion emoticon, think Catherine Tate on amphetamines]

BTW in case you hadn't noticed, I am no longer calm and serene. Much more back to my menkul self - somewhere between panic and something else i haven't quite worked out yet. fear? misery just in case? excitement? basically just plain old

JulesAbs · 22/03/2010 19:22

Can someone explain the stats for me please

Standing out as a newbie!

jules

randomimposter · 22/03/2010 20:01

Hey Jules
TTC#? trying to conceive number 2 in my case.... this does not take into account any lost babies
UCL usual cycle length
cycle number - how many cycles have you been trying
CD? With 1 being the first day of your period (aka RTD RedTideofDoom)

Hope that helps

Hi to all.

unbuffy calm and serene? SOOOO last year darling....

And who was I chatting on here a couple of weeks ago about Married Single Other? Well blow me down, who do DS and I run into in the playground today? Only Dean Lennox Kelly.... well I never...

Off for Enders... tarra xx

randomimposter · 22/03/2010 20:04

PS forgot... barrenbrook ONE... JUST ONE. ONE measly bottle of Oyster Bay you left me at the Co-op.... some mate you are... lush....

BunnyBaby · 22/03/2010 20:09

allthe8's really sorry you're having a tough time. When I feel supersad I imagine what my lost DS2 would be doing to cheer me up. Usually he's cuddling me, and I'm cuddling him. Some may not agree, but I think these pure and precious souls stay around us and look out for us. It gives me comfort but may not be everyone's cup of tea. Big cuddles to you. I also got rememberance service letter but ours is in May.

unbuffy I'm another boob squeezer and am sure I'm peeing more and skin is better (mega symptom speculator)... Go on... You know you want to do it...

MrsGazebo · 22/03/2010 20:11

Howdy
Any Cracklepops or "experimenkul" choccy left?

Sqeeeeeeeeeeezzzzeeeeeee to all who are feeling pariculary trousers today.
I've brought Toffee Crips Cookies, Crisps and dips and 96 bottles of Desperado's to share.

ElmMum hoping your feeling better now.

SpottyGlad to hear that things are moving along for you, well, not glad ,you know what I mean

Allthe8s · 22/03/2010 20:14

Thanks for all your messages today ladies, you have really helped xx I have dusted myself down and am feeling better now! Just need to decide if we are going to do as we are told as avoid ttc until after my surgery or just go with our hearts.....at least I have a little time to think it over now.......

Clareanna still laughing at the boob comment, that cheered me up no end...I must look like I am chewing the cud trying to see if I can still taste metal (which I can...?)

Ok......going to try and name check tonight as I have been gone for yonks..

Hi Jules

Stats are
ttc# (trying to concieve number....)
UCL (Usual Cycle Length)
cycle (1 is from first day of your period)
CD (Cycle Day)

Does that make sense??? Shout if you need anything else translated.......oh RTD is Red Tide of Doom (period)....we decided AF (Aunt Flo) was crap and horrid and eurgh!

Clareanna did you test????? Unbuffy hang in there with the POAS! Littlemiss on cycle 2 I had really bad ov pain which I mistook for period pain....I was doubled up on sofa with hot water bottle.....how you doing mumsie?? Nice to see you back Westyorkshiregirl me and you are in the same boat I think....Bigmuther I hope the last few days have been a little better for you, it took me a long time to take the cot down after we lost dd2 but I was so relieved after we did, looking at it everyday was doing me no good, we decorated the room to make a playroom instead and now it's all cheery and an extra space for dd1 and my mindees. How are you feeling now Elmmum? I was the same yesterday think it is the stress of everything you know? Hello to everyone else...GLB, MrsGazebo Gi1daand anyone I have missed!!!!!

x

JulesAbs · 22/03/2010 20:15
