Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

OP posts:
barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 19:48

TFLS! (barrenbrook waves) Helloooo, how are you lady?

Mumsie123 Glad to see you made it over, so sorry, again, that you've been having a crappy time, I am sure you will find some solace and support here, the ladies on here have certainly helped me, they are a good bunch

WestYorkshireGirl Welcome, like I said to Mumsie, you'll find plenty of comfort here, it's not a scary thread (like some are, I'm almost too scared to read some conception threads!) and the ladies are lovely. So sorry to hear about your mc, I'm on my first cycle after a chemical pg too. Don't be too hard on yourself, I hope being here means the isolated feeling goes away

More vino anyone?!

mumsie123 · 20/03/2010 19:55

crappy crappy time, every time i go to the loo there is more :-( turned kinda pinky brown now, i wish i coukld just jump a month a head, im so scared :-(

barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 20:05

It'll be over soon enough, I tried to think of it as a cleansing process and your body getting ready for a successful pregnancy, (positive thinking and all that!) Good that it's happening naturally with no need for intervention too. Stay positive and be gentle with yourself.

mumsie123 · 20/03/2010 20:09

The doctor said def wont need any intervention as im 3weeks and 6 days (4 tommorow) so it is classed as a period and the little bean would only be a size of a poppy seed.

Me being miss owrrier i keep trhinking omg what of its a eptopic :-( i wont be able to sleep tonight :,-(

randomimposter · 20/03/2010 20:10

Barrenbrook I bloody love Oyster Bay SB. It's probably my number one fave, I can (and have ) drink it like water.... nice to hear from you.

WYG nice to see you back...
mumsie welcome, sorry you're here. Hope you are getting lots of support in RL. A loss is a loss is a loss however early on.

spotty how are you - please let us know.

gaz... ah a fellow retailer huh? Am retired myself... or at least on a long sabbatical...

Sat night smiles to everyone else.

Have nearly stopped bleeding. Have to POAS on Mon to check I'm not pg... durr, I know I'm not pg... although actually I occasionally have to remind myself of it. Had my first resentful thought today; realised someone I know slightly (go to a music class together) is pg (probably 6/7 months or so - I am so unobservant) - her DD is a bit younger than my DS... that's just not fair... Odd how this one "got" me; have close friends who are pg, and obviously see lots of people I don't know who are pg. These have all been fine. But this woman... suddenly I was very . D'ya think this is part of the cycle of grief...?

barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 20:31

Jollster Good to hear the bleeding has almost stopped. I'd say the resentfulness (sp?) is completely normal and part of the grieving process, close friends are perhaps easier to contend with (although I was v [jealous] of my BF when she announced her pregnancy after no period for 8 months and they weren't even trying!) After what you've been through it's understandable so I say don't feel bad about it and give yourself a pat on the back for being normal

Am about to well up, am watching Titanic and it's the standing on the front of the ship bit. Love this film (barrenbrook bows head in shame)

Oyster Bay's my fave too, yum, Co op had it on offer, hence a full bottle rack in fridge!

randomimposter · 20/03/2010 20:56

Barrenbrook I cry at LOTS of films. TV programmes. Songs. Crying is oh so good. Shows you have a heart and can feel.....

Love that bit in Love Actually when they re-create it... Oh gawd, too much SB perhaps. Sadly not OB.... will get meself down to t'Co-op tomorrow ...

mumsie123 · 21/03/2010 10:21

:-( had lot's of bleeding today :-(

sparklyrainbow · 21/03/2010 10:22

Just updated, hopefully correctly. Now made me really jealous as I just want RTD/ NOW DAMMIT!!! Never said that before!

Think i may hold the blubbing record for last night watched Marley&Me on sky eyes still hurt this morning
Have a bit of painful desicion this morning to make after a conversation with DH .When we lost charlie we were in the middle of decorating the spare bedroom as a nursery.Painting it a lovley lemon colour which we will carry on with as it is a nice colour for nursey/sparebedroom so if we do have a baby half the work will be done,But the desision is that we already had a moses basket clothes etc and not sure wether to keep them in there.

JulesAbs · 21/03/2010 11:26

Hello,

I'm just new to the site and trying to find my feet, can anyone point out the obvious and maybe be kind enough to give me a quick explanation of all that goes on? I don't entirely get all the lingo yet.

I'm TTC after having a miscarriage a couple of months before, so far i have been hiding in the background of this site, it really does help to hear that it's just not you that goes through these horrible and trying things.

Thanks

Jules

MrsGazebo · 21/03/2010 12:40

Hello everybody peeps

Just a quickie till Mr.G gets distracted by football and drops the craptop.

Bigmuther that's a hard one that only you can decide.
Sorry for being useless and not helping in the least.
I have a bag full of clothes and bits (not the same I know) that I have bought in moments of menkulness sanguineness over the past year or so.
They are ontop of the wardrobe in the spare room wrapped up tight.
Occasionally, I bring them down and look at them, it doesn't make me sad anymore as I know that they will eventually have a use.
If I had my way, I'd have a full nursery.
On the other hand , I'm also just a little bit mad

I keep having reoccurring dreams that I some how end up with a baby (not always mine?) and I have nothing.
Totally unprepared.
Analyse that!

Hello and welcome Mumsie and Jules we're a good bunch, if I do say so myself.
Certainly has helped my sanity over the last few months.

mumsie123 · 21/03/2010 13:24

hello, thank you for the welcome.

i just feel very lonely at the moment

ElmMum · 21/03/2010 13:26

Bigmutha - do you need to decide right now. Maybe just wait a while and see how you feel?

It's very sunny here today so feeling fairly upbeat. Although I'm eating for England so bang goes the plan to lose half a stone before we start TTC again. Hey ho. Am giving myself a break over it. Eating does cheer me up... !

Hope spring has sprung today where you all are x

MrsGazebo · 21/03/2010 13:47

Oh Mumsie I'm sorry.
To have something taken away so soon after you found out is heartbreaking.
I hope you're getting lots of R.L cuddles.
Be kind to yourself and take one moment at a time.
Expect nothing but don't be suprised by anything, hormones and emotions are cruel sometimes.
It will get easier.
What have you got planned for today?
Take the kids for a walk or have a long bath.
There's a wealth of support and experience on here of Ladies who have been/are were you are now.
Please don't feel like you're alone xx

mumsie123 · 21/03/2010 13:58

Hi thank you "mrsgazebo"

Its my daughters 4th birthday today, and its a beautiful sunny day but i have really bad oeriod pains and having a heavy period so i really dont want to do to much, but i think i will push myself as she is to cute to resist :-)

i just feel so scared this is all new to me, i dont know anyone who i can ask questions or who has ever had a chemical pregnancy, and its just bad luck it a;ll happend friday night so i cant actually talk to my GP.

xx

littlemiss72 · 21/03/2010 14:40

Hi girls, what a lovely sunny Sunday!

mumsie so sorry you have found yourself here hunni, as mrsg said be kind yourself. it will get easier. Big (HUGS)!

Hello again to bigmuther we were on the same thread a while back, leave all as it is right now is my only advice. I'm sure in time you will make the right decisions between you. Let them tears flow, I love a good weepy!

Well.. I'm waked out swi is going a bit too well, dp seems to be on some sort of fertility mission. Think I've ov'd yesterday, limbering up again for more just incase I'm wrong

I have to say I'm dreading the 2ww, it's a real roller coaster of emotions this ttc lark.

House hunting has been rubbish again this week, now starting to think it might be better to get dp to sell up and move in with me until we sort out something. He's a messy git though and I'm a clean freak, coupled with the highs and lows of ttc he could send me over the edge.

Going to make a lovely big chocolate cake this afternoon, baking on Sunday is bliss!

Have wonderful day all x x x

MrsGazebo · 21/03/2010 15:23

BigMuther Marley & Me
What are you trying to do to yourself woman!
The book is far worse.
I sobbed through the last 4 chapters.
I still watched the bloody film knowing what was going to happen so I was sobbing from near enough the start, and I can't abide Owen Wilson so that really didn't help matters.

In fact,as I remember I made a bit of a day of sobbing.
Marly&Me
then The Notebook
then The Boy In The Striped Pajamas.

Poor MrG came home and I'd got through the best part of a (mansize) box of tissues and his a selection box and was faced with me looking like a quivering lipped Panda with allergies

JulesAbs · 21/03/2010 15:54

Mumsie, so sorry to hear that you aren't having the best of time lately.

WestYorkshireGirl · 21/03/2010 16:51

Mumsie123 I'm sorry to hear you are feeling lonely. I felt this way too when I was having my mc and afterwards. In terms of the pain, I was prescribed some anti-cramping tablets by the Dr, but to be honest, they gave my an upset stomach so I just took Paramol tablets and stuck it out with the hot water bottle. The worst pain lasted about 4 days and I bled for nearly 2 weeks, but it got lighter.

I found the leaflets on the Miscarriage Assoc website very helpful. I also found it better not to just 'try and get on with things' - I gave myself time to grieve, often having little cries when something set me off. I think the worst thing to do is not to acknowledge the pregnancy - in the end after 5 weeks when I had my first period I got upset all over again and felt I needed to do something to mark my baby so I had a little service at our church with DH and the Priest - he said some prayers and we lit a candle and that really helped me. This month has been a bit tricky as it's our first month trying and we haven't been successful so I have been a bit sad, but I am not afraid that the sadness will consume me any more and I think that comes with time.

There's a lot of support on MN, but have you got anyone n RL who can support you - what about your DH/DP? Mine didn't deal with the loss the same way as me, but I mistook that for not caring which caused a few problems..

Hope you had a good day with your DD.

sparklyrainbow - I sent my stats in yesterday so can I move from the pending section now?!

Thank you west my DH doesn't really seam to have any feelings about it as it was so early on "chemical oregnancy" and has just carried on. Everyone else kind of sais oh well atleast it wasn't further along. Which i am very grateful for that i wasn't further along but i still had a positive test and still got happy like everyone else would and had my hopes and dreams reuined.

I just cant help but worry, and the waiting dont help i guess.

I am having what seams like a normal period very heavy as usual, but i keep thinking what if its an eptopic etc and working myself up and getting all paniked and i really cant relax :-( i actually ok on the pain front now took some tablets had a hot water bottle and a little sleep so it eased it.

xx

MrsGazebo · 22/03/2010 08:22

Morning all

Hope everyone is well.
I can't do the list as I'm on my mowbli.

Mumsie how are you holding up? I hope as the days go by things start looking brighter.

Spotty how are you doing?

WCG you too, it's good to see you back and keep the SWI up it'll be your turn soon.

I'm going in on a late train which is rammed. I'm looking forward to a day of hell, supposed to have gone in early but 2 trains were cancelled and I've been hanging around for nearly an hour.
I think I'll be needing one of those group hugs later!

Have a super day and I'll catch up later x

ElmMum · 22/03/2010 09:13

Not having the best start to the day. I've got an upset stomach and DH is incredibly stressed with work atm. He's just raced off to the station in a complete tizz having taken DD up to nursery.

I should really have taken her but I'm not sleeping well so waking up exhausted and when he offers, I'm too tired to say no. But I should really, as I've now got the morning off and he's commuting to v stressful job.

So now feel guilty as well as tired and not 100 percent. Hey ho.

Gi1da · 22/03/2010 09:21

Good morning All! A beautiful March morning today, the birds are busy chasing each other about, the buds are budding, 'tis the season to get SWI and somebody surely must win a baby this month! Come on you lovely ladies on the virtiginous upper echelons of the list, someone give us a BPF to start the Spring off with a Bang!!

Viv hoping for a little frenchie bean from you bien sur!!

Mrs G, now behave yourself and no frotting!
