C'mon girls, this is the year. We will form a circle and concentrate hard on diffment.

Meanwhile, David and Jenson have popped the corks and are pouring out the Bellinis. Truckle of stilton anyone?

scorps OMG Glee club at work... excitement!!! I can sing too sometimes while hoofing around without even falling over

VERY JEALOUS.

HawaiianCuntShine · 02/02/2010 01:44

Those damn Americans and their glee!

Muser · 02/02/2010 08:43

Aaaaargh. I don't think I have the patience for today! I am in work early to try and get work done and all I can think about is this afternoon. And do I feel sick because I really am pregnant, or because I'm nervous. And why did I go to bed at 10pm last night when normally I'm up until midnight?

Aaaaaargh.

CurlyCasper · 02/02/2010 08:44

I'm jealous

a) at the glee club at work
b) at you lot being able to chat away long past my bedtime.

Good to have cuntshine back on the thread though

CurlyCasper · 02/02/2010 08:45

x-post Muser. Please to stay strong. ((hug))

Bessie123 · 02/02/2010 08:58

Muser I hope it all goes well for you. When do you get the blood results?

Muser · 02/02/2010 09:00

I don't know Bessie, I realised this morning that she told me to call before my scan, but not what time to call! And the standard routine is they give results after 6pm. I'm going to call at lunchtime and see if there's anything in yet.

Not much spotting going on. It's definitely very intermittent. My name is Muser and I am a gusset checker.

Bessie123 · 02/02/2010 09:04

I had spotting with this updiff. We are 2 days apart I think, I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Muser · 02/02/2010 09:23

I broke and called for results. Nurse is checking and will call me back. When I do not know.

ChoChoSan · 02/02/2010 09:42

Fingers crossed Amuser.

So...is 5 day post ov to early to look for symptoms ...Do my tits look any bigger?

iggypiggy · 02/02/2010 09:45
skihorse · 02/02/2010 09:48

ChoCho Please email me for a full assessment.

Muser I have all my bits crossed for you and I don't blame you a jot for phoning the nurse. I really think this hcg checking stuff is something that the BESH girls could take on - with all the biochemists amongst us, how hard would this be?

Muser · 02/02/2010 10:03

Fuck. HCG level is 139. That's not good. The nurse said it could just be very early, but I don't think this is going to end well.

ChoChoSan · 02/02/2010 10:09

Oh Shit, Muser...how does that add up with your dates...do you usually have a regular cycle?

Ocarina · 02/02/2010 10:10

UnBESHly hugs Muser, what do they do now?

Muser · 02/02/2010 10:13

I have no idea how it adds up with dates. If I oved late it could still be fine as I might be 4/5 weeks and not 6+. But I didn't feel like I'd oved last month at all, so god knows! Got to have another test tomorrow to see if the levels are going up or not.

HawaiianCuntShine · 02/02/2010 10:14

Muser fishslaps and hair tugs, sister. If you put on your Muser nametag and meet me at the mall, I'd hug you in person. Thinking of you...

salander · 02/02/2010 10:18

Everything apart from legs crossed muser
Chinese burns to you

. - help with blood test results please - proesterone level was 19 approx 2 days i think after OVing, is this good/bad/indifferent?????? fucking clueless, moi.

ChoChoSan · 02/02/2010 10:28

Has anyone got any info on alcohol and early pregnancy...especially infor re. things 'crossing the placenta'?

This is for future diffment purposes..Although I am usually too knackered to stay up late enough to start drinking when diffed, I would like to 'enjoy' the 'occasional' glass of champagne if there is a celebration of some sort next time I get diffed (which WILL happen), without the boyf givin' me the evils!

Scorpette · 02/02/2010 10:35

Muser, I don't really understand HCG and all that but cling onto the nurse saying it might not be bad. If you didn't 'feel' yourself ovulate last month then the dates she suggests could well be correct - I sometimes Ov late and when I do, I never really get any symptoms, except for a bit of FFJ and I have to POK like a loony* to reassure myself there's a chucky egg in there somewhere. And the blood starting to lessen can only be a great sign. Am going to stay cautiously optimistic for ya until I hear anything to change my mind

To keep your spirits up, I'll do a Glee style jazz-hands version of a song of your choice, absolutely free!

Talking of Glee, we haven't really got much further than leaping around like Omg Poniez-style 11 yr olds, squealing about how much we want to be in a Glee Club and doing a very poor bit of 'put a ring on it' when there was no-one else on the premises (if this lack of discipline confuses, I'll repeat: I work for one of my best friends, so there is mucho stupidity). Bossfriend has set up a FB group for work-related chums to join. I'm mainly going to sort out the choreography, having a voice like one of those menkuls with a home-perm and milk-bottle glasses in the audition stages of X Factor who think they're brilliant, but are, in fact, freaks. I did sing in a musical yeeears ago, but only as part of a big chorus. Don't think Bossfriend realises what a stern and uncaring Dance taskmaster I will be or how harsh I'll be about people's auditions, bwahahaha.

Still zen today. Whagwa'aan?

*I say this like I don't do everything like a loony. Ha!

CUNextTuesday · 02/02/2010 10:41

Cho you are ok to be foolish with alcohol until 6 weeks, when a connection is formed between your bloodstream and the baby's. After that it is recommended that you do not partake until 12 weeks as this is the time of maximum foetal development, which you don't really want too much interfering with.

After 12 weeks the recommendation is no more than 2 units a week, but to be honest foetal alcohol syndrome is a produt of sustained meths drinking for 9 months and you bby is not going to be seriously affected by an accidental minor overload. FWIW I average about 2 half glasses of wine a week, but I've got to be honest I start them because I fancy some wine, or it's an occasion or woteva, then I can't finish them cos it tastes funny and makes my tum all warm.

This is unusual. Ask anyone - I am normally a prolific drinker

muser am sorry mate. Know there is nothing I can say at the moment but am really hoping it works out.

cho I haven't posted this link for a while, so it may be something you haven't seen? Isn't specific to early pg but is,I feel, useful info all round. I don't actually think that the 'before 6 weeks' thing is entirely accurate, there is no placenta at that point but BOC still shares your blood supply... I think the point is more that small quantities are unlikely to harm as will already have been dealt with by your body before reaching BOC.

A glass is fine. A bottle isn't. Kind of as you'd expect really.

I am ill. Think my immune system is fucked as I just can't get better and have even had to take time off work (which I am lying here stressing about obv)

anyway,am not hanging about at the mo,still not ttc and this place makes me all frantic about missing months etc...but as I saw muser's shit time I wanted to offer my support...thinking of you.

CUNextTuesday · 02/02/2010 10:43
