Here it is girls - the all new, trying for a spring baby thread. Hope everyone from the Febraury thread can come on over and join us - plus any newcomers too of course!

And to those that don't make it over - CONGRATULATIONS

Oh Starry, so sorry to hear that, and sorry that it is getting you down so much Hope you will come back to us, when you're feeling a bit better - or at least let us know about any good news in the future...

Dana · 01/07/2005 09:19

Great news, homemama. So pleased for you

likklemum, you are more than welcome here. I know several people who have kids with just one year between, so don't think you are being too optimistic at all...good luck.

Flame dear, we're waiting... (impatiently tapping fingernails on desk )

MandM · 01/07/2005 09:48

StarryEyed - I am so sorry , it's just the worst feeling in the world. If you feel like having a break from constantly talking and thinking about ttc then that's what you should do, we'll be here for you when you get back . If you decide you want to talk about it, we'll be here for you anyway . Thinking of you x

Likklemum - welcome!

Homemama - that's brilliant news. Now it's here, you need to get rid of it and get started!!!!!

come here

Flamesparrow · 01/07/2005 10:09

You guys have only been waiting for a week...

I tested the day before AF was due, and I've had to keep it all bottled up for TWO WEEKS

Dana · 01/07/2005 10:23

Ha, I knew it!!! Congratulations Flame . So happy for you. can't remember, was that first month of trying?

I think I missed somewhere along the way why you had to keep it a secret until today, but am absolutely amazed that you did!!

Flamesparrow · 01/07/2005 10:24

Yup - first month! I will have to warn B when she is older that our family seem to fall pregnant very easily

Dana · 01/07/2005 10:47

Gives me hope, that it could be poss for me as well first month off the pill Did you test the day before AF would have been due, if still on the pill?

Were you surprised or did you have any symptoms before testing? Have you got used to the thought yet? What did your sister say?

Sorry for all the questions, just being nosy

Flamesparrow · 01/07/2005 11:01

Yes - tested the day before it would have been due had I still been on the pill... I had been crying at DD begging her to sleep because I was so tired, so thought I should test...

Didn't think it would be positive though, so I threw it away without waiting!!! Checked an hour later

Only symptom was tiredness.

My sister was great - she was a bit funny with DD (I'm the younger one, so threw her by falling pregnant first), but she says that now I've got one, its not odd anymore.

homemama · 01/07/2005 11:01

Well done Flame!!!
Not surprised, you were too bloody jolly!

munz · 01/07/2005 11:01

YAY FS - so when does that make u due?

Flamesparrow · 01/07/2005 11:06

23rd Feb

2GIRLS · 01/07/2005 11:19

Hi everyone, I'm new here and ttc number 3. THis is the first month of trying but I'm not leaving anything to chance - I've got my supply of ovulation tests so just waiting.... I've already got 2 DD's 4 & 5 yrs.

2GIRLS · 01/07/2005 12:18

Have just read all the thread! Congratulations Flamesparrow!!!!!! Hope your good luck rubs off on all of us!
likklemum - I conceived dd2 when dd1 was 3 months (so not planned)There is 10 1/2 mths gap. Great now, but very hard and very tiring when they were small (but worth it I need to add!)

Dana · 01/07/2005 12:31

Welcome 2girls and good luck

pinklilith · 01/07/2005 13:24

If things keep going with me then hopefully I'll be joining you on the february baby. Congrats, I'm really really happy for you, please distribute your spare babydust around the rest of us!!

lilaclotus · 01/07/2005 17:01

well girls, i've been to the doctor. he's given me a go ahead to start trying! he said i don't have to wait after going of the stomach pills (or the pill either). after AF in 10 days we can start properly.

pinklilith · 01/07/2005 18:31

yay lilaclotus, have lots of babydust to get you going.

AvocadoLover · 01/07/2005 18:48

Flamesparrow - congratulations, I'm so impressed by your self-restraint!

Homemama - I'm jealous of your AF! Still gazing longingly at my box of clomid.

lovecloud · 01/07/2005 18:49

DAMN.. been on here the last week as again I thought Iwas pregnant, three tests later, sickness for the last 4 days and the horrible period has started !!!

I have not been ttc properly but I hope all the time and every month feel down.

I am starting to think maybe I cant, my body has had enough chances, I have not used contraception since birth of dd except for the withdrawl method and that is not always used.

I keep hoping though that maybe I still am, I had period when pregnant with dd. I had white discharge this morning and then later today, brown blood which had slowly changed to red and lots of cramps!!!

Someone sprinkle me with some dust, so if I was to actively ttc i will need to get on down in 14 days from today? My ovulation date will be Thursday 14th June. Right I am going to have to make a romantic meal tonight and persuade my partner that there never is a right time and that I just cant wait anymore but I want him to feel the same way...

I held a 9 week old baby girl today and i got so emotional I could not speak, my eyes welled up. Her mother must of thought i was mad.

homemama · 01/07/2005 19:03

I couldn't leave it to chance. I've gone and bought some op kits. £20 for 7 sticks! DH will not be impressed as a) too clinical for him b) we're moving house soon and £20 for some sticks to pee on wont be seen as a necessary purchase.
Oh well, desperate times and all that!!! (she says after 1mth og trying)
Welcome to anyone new that I've not greeted yet!

2GIRLS · 01/07/2005 19:20

Know what you mean homemama - it's my first month and already desperate I bought loads tests but got them off ebay. Got 10 tests for 7.95 I saw the clearblue ones in the chemist 7 or 8 for 19.99. I assume that they work ok and are not dud ones!!

MrsQ · 01/07/2005 19:32

Used OP stick for the first time today - was almost as impatient for the result as pg test with ds. No go yet tho - which is probably just as well as dh is working this weekend and I'm cream crackered tonight and would have struggled to stay awake for BD. I got CB sticks from Boots and got a second CB product half price - optimistically chose a pg test!

Jen1209 · 01/07/2005 19:55

Hi Lovecloud - sorry to hear your news. Don't know how to draw baby dust so am sending you the special invisible kind (can you send some back? ) I know how you feel although have been ttc for a year.

I haven't been on MN for 2 days and have missed loads!

Good luck with the meal tonight - my DP has gone out so I'm eating rubbish and watching nonsense!!!
