Evening all / or Morning....

Another friend on facebook has just declared to the world she is preggers. Am I the only one who is not preggers???

Grrrrr......Really chuffered for her, but just gutted its not happening for Eveywoo (My darling best friend, for those who havent twigged) and I. Think Im having a feel sorry for myself moment.

Oh well, another day, another shag (yes I too, shall now use correctly phraselogy, shag, bonk, quickie).

Good luck to anyone testing soon, and those who are at the shagging stage, have loads of bloody fun.

PS: Glad Im not the only one who remembers how long it lasts

tobago04 · 14/08/2009 07:37

Morning everyone, just thought i'd pop in and say Hello!
Agree AF and BD are strange,so have done lots of shagging since last period!
Feeling quite relaxed about it so hopefully that will help, have a sore armpit and had brown cm on cd 18 so maybe these are good signs?Know what you mean about the timing thing,i always press pause on the sky+,the other night it was 30mins!
mrsrigby my dd1 did'nt sleep through til she was 1 so i know how you feel
Theres got to be some testing soon surely?

sweetkitty · 14/08/2009 08:02

I have started a trend

Have primed DP for a shagfest this weekend, he, of course, is very disappointed at the thought. He's training for another marathon and when he is training he had loads of energy, he's like a 17 year old boy always up for it, me on the otherhand well I'm at home with 3 young children all day need I say more.

Love the "another day, another shag"

Bettymamma · 14/08/2009 08:05

15 mnths Wicked Witch?? - mine was 18 months (i hear Mrs Rigby running off screaming) My god you've had way more sex than me this month. I really need to put in more effort.

Mrs Rigby you and your holes

Sweetkitty i think that's a plan re calculated one night stand with dh. Sounds a lot more fun.

Nancypreg - Pouch of Douglas - thats a new one for me

tobago04 · 14/08/2009 08:08

I know what you mean sweetkitty, last night dh said it had been ages,we have done it every day apart from tuesday and Wednesday! At least ttc gives me more will power

Bettymamma · 14/08/2009 08:19

oh blimey i missed tobago and sweetkitty's messages - mornin' all!

Loujalou · 14/08/2009 08:44

You lot have me in stitches. This must be the only thread without all the dodgy abbreviations. Am off away and sharing room with DS so no shagging for me. Though think husband might be spurred into action as had a go at him for not ever initiating sex. So will see.

Periods are horrid. Can't wait til mine is over.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/08/2009 08:45

morning!

I've actually had so much sex that the last two days off it have been a real blessing. Still, we're in the sex for fun stage now and it IS Friday (traditional shag night for the old marrieds ) so I might be persuaded.

Considering I'm in 2ww I don't feel pg at all, no random symptoms for me to obsessively spot, nothing. I tell you I'm going to be SO cross if all this bonking hasn't done it! Not sure I can manage another month!

Loujalou · 14/08/2009 08:54

Wicked Witch your hubby must have died and gone to heaven. Can't remember the last time I shagged that much. Must have been before DS. Oh well maybe hubby will pull his socks up this month or pull his boxers down...

Spirael · 14/08/2009 08:57

Hi all! Just from a different perspective... I agree that the abbreviations are rather silly, but I'm currently reading this at work and I'm a little worried that using the non abbreviated terms is going to get me flagged up as looking at something rather more sinister than the reality.

Even if they take a look at my internet history and realise that it's not so, getting attention drawn to the fact that I'm currently hanging around a conception forum might not be the best for my future job prospects either...

I admit I could just stop reading this at work, and if you guys want to carry on then I guess I'll do that. I'll still check the forums in the evening, from the safety of my own home!

TheKurgan · 14/08/2009 09:42

I am jealous of all the shaggers - the pressure of 'having to perform' has proved to be too much for dp on occasions so I don't hold out much hope for this month. I've tried to be understanding and haven't nagged as that won't help, but I am a bit frustrated!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/08/2009 09:47

yeah I agree there's been more pressure this month, the last occasion I had to really wake him up, but it was critical point in the cycle!! I'm still not sure we've done enought.

Ladylou83 · 14/08/2009 11:31

DH at the start of the cycle was ready and prepared to go at it every other night, but already he is tired of it all. Dont think this is our month as dont seem to have had it enough this month. Am going to have to pull out the sexy undies drawer to get things back on track....

Loujalou · 14/08/2009 11:55

My friend did it once all month and is up the duff. So proves it is not the quantity!

LastTrainToNowhere · 14/08/2009 13:16

Agreed Loujalou, we did it only once in the month that I conceived dd. But then again we only did it once last time and nothing happened. It's the timing, not the quantity

NancyPreg · 14/08/2009 13:33

Morning all, I can also concur with not needing that much sex in order to secure a pg....when I conceived my dd, we weren't even trying! My dh simply failed to pull it out in time and I thought I wouldn't be ovulating for another 2 or 3 days, so believed I'd be OK but my dd had other ideas and thank goodness for that!

Medee · 14/08/2009 13:45

Spirael - I don't read Mumsnet at work for that very reason.

And I hate the abbreviations - there, I said it. Baby dancing is a horrid phrase for sex. So is Aunt Flo for your period. There are perfectly neutral non-offensive words for these things, instead of silly euphemisms.

mampam · 14/08/2009 15:33

I agree that it's not the quantity of sex you have but the timing. DD was conceived after a drunken night out with my exH and we didn't use any protection!!! (Was a young foolish 19 year old at the time).

I don't remember having lots of sex trying to conceive DS, we just stopped using contraception and carried on as normal and I was pregnant in the first cycle TTC!

This time round with a new DH I'm on my second cycle, so maybe me and DH aren't as fertile together as me and ex were .

sky27 · 14/08/2009 16:40

Hello all,

been off line few a days. Hope everyone is well. Any BFPs yet?

I couldn't get on with baby dancing..when I first started I thought it was short for BeDding and that's the way it stayed

tobago04 · 14/08/2009 16:55

Thank god we are not using BD any more,i actually said it to DH last nite, how embarassing Luckily he found it funny!(and strange)
DH can't get enough at the mo,hope he is'nt expecting this to continue if we get a bfp!

sky27 · 14/08/2009 17:04

Tobago I hear you get really horny when you're pregnant so his luck may be in

tobago04 · 14/08/2009 17:15

He's hoping! Although i don't think i was last 2 times

LastTrainToNowhere · 14/08/2009 17:19

The last time I was pregnant I was horny enough but dh simply refused to do the deed any more. He was coming up with more and more inventive reasons for not having sex, till he finally came out and said he felt like the baby was watching us! . I'd never heard anything so ridiculous but he just wouldn't budge. We next had sex when dd was 4 months old

tobago04 · 14/08/2009 17:26

My friend's H was the same when she was pregnant, men are funny!

zayja · 14/08/2009 17:47

AF got me!
Having a hard time with this, but am not getting off the bus just yet, I'll just go to the back (crying all the way!)
