woohoo! sweetkitty.theres no argueing with that! congrats.

just spoke to my gp and they dont even offer you a booking in appt until 12 weeks and have said no reason for me to see gp..despite me having underactive thyroid and being in the high risk group.

Sweetpeasmum · 27/08/2009 11:30

I did think that DH would feel a bit used Tobago04 but he doesn't seem too bothered about performing on demand. He would have TTC'd earlier (DS is 21 months) so is a fully versed and willing participant in the whole process.

pepperonipizza · 27/08/2009 11:48

Hi All,

Just checking in. Congratulations to all the graduates, it's all very exciting!! Fingers crossed for even more very soon!

It's all go on the DTD-front at the moment for me.... and I have the most massive spot on my nose to contend with too!

mampam · 27/08/2009 12:23

Thanks everyone and I am having a much better and productive day today.

Have finally managed to get through to the CAB and have got an appointment a week on Monday to go through what we do now and whether we're entitled to claim anything or not.

Have got a couple of weeks before I ovulate so hopefully in that time either DH or I will have found a full time job so you never know we may well carry on TTC. A lot can happen in 2 weeks so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed! At the moment as things stand I just can't justify it. I can imagine people's reaction 'but how can you afford a baby when you can't afford to live yourselves'. The simple answer is we can't afford a baby or to live ourselves but hopefully our downturn in luck has got to end soon?

Good luck to all those about to test.

Sweetkitty congratulations. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean.

liahgen · 27/08/2009 12:40

sweet if you email CB they'll send you a free test as you have wasted your money.

~congrats to you

sayanything · 27/08/2009 12:50

Made up with DP (well, I got him to apologise at any rate) and then I mentioned that I got two bars on the CBFM and he said "oh that's why you're talking to me". He's quite chuffed, he thought he wouldn't be getting his leg over for a while.

Anyways, lots of luck to everyone and mampap I hope you find a solution soon (and that the CAB helps).

pigleychez · 27/08/2009 12:52

SK- ooohhh Im really excited for you! Its looking quite likely id say!!!!
Really hope i can join you very soon! Be fab to be the same antenatal thread again.

Congratulations!

misshoohaa · 27/08/2009 13:56

Hi all AF arrived on Tuesday, and is now in full flow, so looks like I am going to be departing for the June bus!
Least it will give me a chance to track my cycles a little better! Congrats to all the graduates, very pleased for you all!
xxxx

mummydemma · 27/08/2009 13:59

CONGRATULATIONS Bettymamma, memorylapse, kaystar and sweetkitty! Fantastic news for all of you!

This bus is really travelling along at quite a pace and proving to be very successful. We're going to need a Bus No 2 thread at this rate and hopefully we'll be able to fill a whole new double decker with BFPs and bouncy babies!!! Fingers crossed for everyone who is on the dreaded 2WW or due to test.

Only CD9 of cycle 2 here but I just can't stop thinking about TTC it is a 100% all consuming hobby from the minute you set out on this journey. Two friends had babies this week and another is due next week, then 4 more due before Christmas. Out for lunch yday and there was the tiniest newborn on the next table and then been to a play centre with DS this morning and there were baby car seats everywhere! I'm sure babies didn't used to exist in such quantities before I was TTC! (and this is #3 for us so the obsession obviously doesn't lessen!)

LoobyLou82 · 27/08/2009 16:24

hey sweetkitty, and tobago good news. I just popped on for a wee nosey to see how weveryone is doing and woopee guys. You've been busy. Were still gonna wait till christmas time to start ttc again after the july mc but enjoying our two wee boys we already have, my baby is 1 today (tear in eye) hes growing up so fast older is 2 1/2.

Good luck folks Lx

lucylev · 27/08/2009 16:33

Hiya Guys,

Just thought i'd update you, I tested this morning and got a negative, Did as soon as i woke up, bit disapointed and still abit unsure as no sign of my p as yet

Do you think i should re test early next week if still nothing? i did use a cheapo Tesco one, but i guess a neg is a neg and is a no!

Congrats Sweetkitty

sweetkitty · 27/08/2009 16:45

lucylev - don't want to get your hopes up but I got a BFN on a tesco one 2 days ago, it's not over until that period arrives

loobylou - happy birthday to your DS, one is bittersweet isn't it? can understand why you want a wee break TTC is a bit mad, take care of yourself x

mummydemma - yes you are right TTC is a bit mad, hopefully this will be my last time ever

misshoohaa - about period, wine and chocolate for you

Can I just hang around here for a wee while, too scared to join any Due in May threads or anything, it's nice here too.

lucylev · 27/08/2009 16:53

SK- Ah yes i just re read over the last few pges and saw your post, next month it is! roll on my P if not How exciting for you, has it sunk in?

memorylapse · 27/08/2009 17:53

I joined the due may thread but wish I hadnt..feels like tempting fate
Ive had prev ious still births and niscarriages so Im kind of anxious not to get my hopes up..I wont really get excited unless I get as far as a 12 week scan..so if its ok..Id like to hang around here for a bit..Im not convinced that this wont turn out to be a chemical pregn ancy b ecause Im getting dragging pains like I do before af comes and Ive had my menstrual migraine which is hormone related

Congratulations to all the graduates!
No luck for me this time, I discovered yesterday. It was only my second month, but I am a chronic optimist so I was hoping for the best. Oh well, I shall be joining the June bus, and trying extra hard.
Good luck to everyone else

HellsNB · 27/08/2009 18:40

Evening all!

Big congrats to memorylapse sweetkitty and Kaystar

Question for Kaystar
I'm interested to know more about Fertility Friend not being positive for you??? Are you referring to the 'pregnancy monitor' section? Mine is giving me a score of 'low' Did yours?

Sweetkitty Thanks, you have reassured me that getting a BFN on an ebay cheapy yesterday might not be the end... still waiting and on day 15 post ovulation...

Hells

tobago04 · 27/08/2009 18:47

Hello loobylou82 nice to hear from you! Happy birthday to your little one,and good luck with ttc at xmas
Sorry fotheringhay
Hope everything goes ok memorylapse we are all hear if you need a chat
Well DH said i should do a test tonight so i'm going to try and hold on til 9pm if i have'nt wee'd myself by then!
Also going to go and get CBD in a bit and use that in the morning or if i get BFN i will save it until next time

Beanmum · 27/08/2009 19:12

Wow guys, excellent news and huge congratulations to sweetkitty, kaystar. bettymamma and memorylapse

Sorry you're out for this month fotheringhay - best of luck next time. June's a good time for a baby!

Definitely not over for you lucy if period hasn't arrived, fingers crossed.

First month of fertility friend for me, and apparently we've timed our shagging well (!), now 4dpo, so here we go again on the 2WW of horror. Hoping, hoping, hoping....

bluesnowfalcon · 27/08/2009 19:16

Sorry to those who got AF

Sweetkitty I'm really glad you got a BFP and hoping that it sticks for you

memorylapse · 27/08/2009 19:32

nancypreg and tobago...Ive had 4 beautiful children in between my still born and miscarriages (Ive had 3 miscarriages and one still birth)..but it doesnt stop me turning into the phantom knicker checker..I find Im an analysing all my symptoms already..my last 2 babies resulted in 2 very late miscarriages but there was an underlying reason and I appreciate that these things are rare..fingers crossed for third time lucky

Bettymamma · 27/08/2009 19:57

Phantom knicker checker! Oh yes, i know what you mean. Really don't feel pg. Expecting more nausea or tiredness. I won't analyse, its only actually cd 27 in a 24 day cycle so i guess i shouldn't have a bump yet??!

Memorylapse - please phone your doc again and demand an appointment. If you have thyroid probs i know how dangerous it can be.

Sweetkitty - that's so exciting! I thought you ovulated a couple of days after me so that makes sense that you eventually got a BFP a couple of days later.

Everyone else - my fingers are so crossed for all of you. You've all been so supportive and nice. I refuse to leave this bus for a while!
