I hope it is me next. All I seem to do now is waddle and sleep

barbie1 · 01/09/2009 15:42

a year ago i found you...i was lost and alone, crying tears of saddness but now a year to the day i have found true friends, a cyber nephew and am crying tears of joy....what are the chances of that

LionstarBigPants · 01/09/2009 15:45

Fab news from chez vjay, so so happy for you!!! Looking forward to hearing all the details.

So Sabs, the race is on, which one of us will pop first? (I'm already feeling like an overinflated balloon!!)

SabsBigPants · 01/09/2009 15:48

lionstar where you late, early or on time with your DD? People always tell me that first-borns tend to be late, but im hoping / wishing that mines makes an early arrival, especially as it was 6 pounds already 2 weeks ago! Have my midwife appointment tomorrow morning...

Neeko · 01/09/2009 15:51

Fantastic! So pleased for Vjay Just the news we were needing. Can't wait to see a picture

4everhopeful · 01/09/2009 15:53

Im just beaming for Vjay & quite amazed at this journey!

Sabs & Lion not to worry you (or get you too excited!) but my bf was due on the 26th sept as well as you both, & she had her DD last thurs 5wks early!

LionstarBigPants · 01/09/2009 15:55

My DD was nearly 3 weeks early (eek). If this one arrives on her schedule then it will be here in 1 week and 2 days (double eek). Maybe I should get that cot up!

On the whole though I think firstborns do tend to arrive late. I'm just quaking in my boots thinking this one could legitimately not arrive until well into October - it just doesn't seem possible

I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow lunchtime too. BTW they are notoriously bad at estimating size pre-birth, even with a scan so don't worry too much. Have all my fingers and toes crossed for you though.

4everhopeful · 01/09/2009 15:56

I just checked our name & number list & Vjay has same name as bf! Wanted to text her but dont have number so please pass on our best wishes to her Blue!! xx

bluesatinsash · 01/09/2009 15:59

Will send her all your love

Better go, I let DS nap too long and he has wet the bed - that'll teach me .

One down, how many to go?! Lion - you may just sneak in in front of Sabs

ps sorry for your mc

Joolsiam · 01/09/2009 16:19

Welcome from me too Fifisboys

Sorry you had to join us, but glad we've got some new TTC'ers to talk to

If you can bear to let us know some details - how far along you were etc, then we can probably help you with info about life and TTC after MC.

I've mc'ed at almost 5, almost 6 and almost 12 weeks, so can cover most angles ...

mm1509 · 01/09/2009 16:34

Just had a quick to check to see if there was any news from vajy and wow we have our first graduate. I am so happy for them and keep thinking this lo does not have a clue what he means to us all.

Just the best news we could all have and like 4ever says it is the beautiful full circle................just feels right don't you think.

fifi welcome to our wonderful thread. Sorry you have had to join us but like jools says there is an unfortunate wealth of experience on here regarding mc and ttc so feel free to tell us as much or as little as you want. We have all been there on the dark days so understand your feelings. I know I would have went slowly mad without the girls on here.

fifisboys · 01/09/2009 16:57

Thanks

Well i was 8+1 and had some light spotting last monday, spoke to mw who said it sounded normal as i had no pain etc and i actually had the same with ds1. I still wasnt happy on the tuesday so i rang gp who asked me to go down and she said the same, sounds normal but she would refer me for early scan to make sure.
Went for scan last wednesday, sac was measuring fine for dates but the baby only showing at 5/6 weeks.
Consultant asked if my dates could be wrong but i knew they werent as i'd had my coil out the week before ttc, fell pg straight away and bfp on day af was due, so there was no doubt. She sent me home saying i would bleed within a week and on thursday it started and im sure it all happened then
Went away with dp for the weekend which helped a lot, now its back to reality....just want to ttc asap, do you know whens best to start??
will add myself to the list

MrsKate · 01/09/2009 17:06

congrats vjay i am so happy .xxxxxxx

hi all and welcome to fifi

Joolsiam · 01/09/2009 17:06

Funnily enough I had a teeny amount of spotting at around 7.5 weeks. Mild nausea went at the same time. I'll never know for sure, but I am guessing that it took my body 4 weeks to realise it had all gone wrong ? Am holding on to that thought, otherwise the next wait to 12weeks is going to be even longer ...

As for TTC again - with that mc at 11.5, it took me 5 weeks to have an anovulatory bleed, then I ovulated 3 weeks after that (a week later than my normal cycle. After that, it was back to normal.

Next mc (3 cycles later) was at almost 6 weeks, but the bleeding was very very light - less than normal AF, so I don't think the pregnancy actually progressed very far. That time, I ovulated only around a week late, so fairly normal cycles.

As a rule of thumb, they say that you should get AF within 7 weeks I think, but it can often be sooner - depends on how it has hit you emotionally and physically I think.

this site has some really good info - was my saviour when it first happened to me.

Just remember, your body will be unpredictable, OPK's will give false results in the first cycle post MC and you should continue to do pg tests until you get a BFN - so you know that the next BFP, if it comes quickly, is a new one
