barbie1 · 04/08/2009 13:23

4ever i feel bad now writting about dh at the scan some times i just dont think! doh....so sorry to all of you if it bought back painful memories....

I keep putting my foot in it lately dont i? i just want this thread to carry on and give each other the support we have had since it started, i dont want to alienate anyone, and you shouldnt be made to feel that we have a special gnang that you cant be part of, i was trying to do the best but if you want to hear about me puking orange sick i will gladly tell you all about it!

4everhopeful · 04/08/2009 13:40

Barbie Barbie it wasnt about you making me feel bad, thats the whole point! I had a pang of sadness about the scan, yes, its the odd thing like that but also if someone mentions an EDD, what one of us doesnt have a pang & think of our own EDDs? Thats all I was saying! Its natural!

I would only feel alienated if you did start another thread for discussing your PG symptoms! I was just saying please dont feel like you cant talk honestly & openly on here for fear of upsetting us. Just trying to reassure you that you dont need to shield us from it, and thats not why Iv been taking a break! I just need to be ME for a while, You just be you!

barbie1 · 04/08/2009 13:46

I know you werent making me feel bad, but i really dont think some times!

I will stay and fill you in on all the gory details as long as you promise to keep lurking

By the way, the orange sick was gross....

iggypiggy · 04/08/2009 13:50

V quick one!

4ever I agree that I don't want the others to leave. In fact I totally am with you on your posts today.
Thanks for the words of encouragement re bd days. It just highlighted to me how desperate I was getting when I had breakdown cos we didn't bd!

Lots of love to you all x

cupcakefairy · 04/08/2009 14:19

iggy I really do sympathise, I had a meltdown last time af arrived and spent the whole weekend sulking and crying... it made me realise how desperate I had become too. Here's my hand to hold!

4ever and barbie you two are just highlighting what is so great about this group of girls- always being so considerate of each other.

Anyone heard from blue yet?

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 04/08/2009 14:28

Ladies, sorry for delay in posting and thanks SO MUCH for all your good wishes, had to wait 'til DS went for nap - I've had ants in my pants I can tell you!

All well with baby blue , lovely sonographer who took her time as they were quiet. Long legs, ten fingers and toes, heart fine, head good size, organs all there, spine covered with skin. Neeko - I'm surprised you didn't feel the relief ripple over your way!

I'm so relieved I can't begin to tell you, I'm welling up typing here. To be back in that scan room, the one with all the heartache and have a jumping waving baby kicking his/her legs just makes the struggle all worth while.

I know there's a long way to go still but I'm going to be positive from now on, banish any horror stories form my mind and just enjoy this special time.

I've uploaded a scan and bump double - apologies for the bra its seen better days!

Will catch up now with everyone's news but can I just say thank you and you really are a special bunch of Mums to be xxxx

barbie1 · 04/08/2009 15:16

cupcakefairy · 04/08/2009 15:43

Yay blue that is great news sooo glad you're feeling all positive now and lovely pics!

Hi mermaid if you can read this under all that dust!

OP posts:
VJaybigpants · 04/08/2009 15:57

blue great news on the scan, and lovely bump pic too

mermaid hello how are you?

neeko baby is far too comfy in here, there is no signs just yet but there are still 22 days to go.......

Well the plasterer has been and gone, the house is almost straight and it's staying that way, and the relatives are arriving in the small hours, so I probably won't be on here for a few days....so don't go panicking that I'm in labour

Curlywurlee · 04/08/2009 16:31

That's fantastic news blue I love the scan and the bump pics

desperately trying to unpack, wash clothes, pack again, shop and eat ricecakes all at the same time so will catch up later with all you lovely ladies Lots of love till then xxx

iggypiggy · 04/08/2009 16:42

blue fab news - so pleased!

cupcake thank you, you are lovely - I know you girls all understand. It can be rubbish at times can't it?

mermaid so pleased to hear from you!

vjay only 22 days till little optimus prime! exciting!!!!

curly how are you? Still feeling sick? xx

bluesatinsash · 04/08/2009 18:49

Mermaid - I knew you were still out there, you just don't do lying on the sun lounger reading chick lit do you ? Lovely to hear you're busy and covered in dust .

Vjay - of course you could go into labour, its been known to happen you know...

4ever - what an eloquent post earlier and really glad you get stregnth from us all being here. It is a fine balancing act sometimes as we're all at different stages and no-one wants to feel they're being insensitive (as in barbie's valid concerns) but we started out together and - God damn it - we'll finish together.

Iggy - some days are just pitttf. Sun bd is NOT too late. You're officially on the 2ww now missy .

Moon - what a lovely colleague you have. Your sexy fun self is in there, just needs a bit of tlc to come to the fore again. A good friend of mine was very wise after my 2nd mc and reminded me that I was still grieving for my first and to go easy on myself. Same rules apply, you've had a heartbreaking 6 months and it takes time to get back on an even keel as you'll still have days when you think "did that just happen" .

Neeko thanks for lovely txt earlier. Great news that ms has kicked in but awful for your teeth .

Cupcake - I've send over another batch of babydust in case the first lot has disintegrated. BTW Scorpio is firmly entrenched on Dec ante-natal (now known as 'Scorps'!).

mrskate - tell that DH of yours to stop hogging the PC!

sabs, MM and gracie thanks for txts too! I was out walking in the woods with DS when they came through and warmed my heart.

Curly - welcome back, got the washing done yet? So your back from Ireland and off galavantnig again - jealous - moi?!

So Buddha - its you next, only 3 sleeps to go AND you'll know the flavour, ooh I'm a wee bit now .

BlueMoon1981 · 04/08/2009 19:35

barbie i agree with 4ever and iggy i do understand you dont want to put your foot in it or seem unsensitive, but its the very reason we all work so well together, because we understand the pain and heartache you have all been through, and deserve your lo's even more so than those in rl. and yes we are of course and even but its only because we feel our bodies have let us down, not becasue we aren't genuinely over the moon for you. i'm not sure those words even came out right, i guess i have just said the very long way round that you must stay and post whatever you feel on here.

blue on your lovely scan photo and beautiful bump

curly welcome back i missed you, looking forward to a mammonth post sometime soon

mermaid hello nice to have you back too, i did giggle at your post, did you have some rain by any chance.....

cupcakefairy · 04/08/2009 20:05

Lol, moon well if she will venture over that Severn bridge, rain is part of the package I regularly take spare clothes and shoes to work with me as I get drenched walking in in the morning- lovely!!

OP posts:
Neeko · 04/08/2009 20:31

Yay! What a great Emmsy's day!

Blue sooo happy for you honey and your little one looks like a wee smasher in his/her pic Baby bump is coming on nicely too. So nice to hear you feeling positive and embracing this wnderful and life-changing experience.

Mermaid My face split into a huge grin when I saw you'd posted. Sorry you're feeling like a drowned rat but so nice to know you're still with us. Shame it doesn't rain wine,eh?

4everwhoalwaysknowstherightthingtosay A lovely post and makes me,for one, feel much better. I will continue to touch base on my antenatal thread but a real relief to air concerns on here too.

Barbie thanks for expressing what I was thinking. Sounds like you're moving into big pants now you're feeling great.

Mrskate hello fellow nipple squeezer! I'm still at it Tell your DH to stop hogging - you have to let the world know about your nipple squeezing!!

Iggy I'm sure you're still in. Welcome to the 2ww

Hoping Hope the TTC is going well. Remember to ask for any necessary advice, being a novice and all

Cupcake go on, go on, go on. Indulge yourself and share the symptoms Nausea? Bigger boobs? Insommnia? Increased appetite? Gone off coffee? Come on, you know you want to... (Can you imagine what I'll be like come testing time?)

Vjay have a great time with your relatives. Hope they pamper you rotten and let you put your feet up.

Curly just go naked on holiday It'd save all the washing ironing and packing!

moon which flavour of chocolate today or have you baked again?

Hi to MLS, Jools,Bakingqueen, annie, ginger, Buddha and the others I've undoubtedly missed.

The Emmsy's force feels strong tonight

cupcakefairy · 04/08/2009 20:42

Yay! Hi happyNeeko
Oh alright then, as you asked so nicely - it's mega thirst, waking up v early and cramps...but I know I am just imagining them! I think the waking up early is cos I'm desperate to take my temp every day and see if it's risen yet (With the last pg it went up to 99 on day 30 and stayed there so if it doesn't do that by Sat I may have another sulk!)

We have just finished (re)watching season 8 of Friends by the way...Rachel having the baby made both me and dh cry! And he never cries at stuff! Was so emotional. (But also funny: "That's the baby's buttocks, she's breech" "Oh! I thought she had 2 heads!!")

OP posts:
BlueMoon1981 · 04/08/2009 20:48

neeko no i have to admit that baking doesn't occur very often in my house! i just happened to make the bounty cake on a day off work, it might be another few months before i make any more! the man who bought me choccy has gone on holiday now for 2 weeks, so i'll have to buy my own! my manager spoke to me today as apparently he was so worried he asked her to check up on me. we had a good chat, and i managed not to cry on her although i was close a few times. i'm so lucky to have such lovely work colleagues

Neeko · 04/08/2009 20:50

Oh you make me want to get out my Friends DVDs. Raging thirst has been a symptom of mine this time but didn't realise it was a symptom til you mentioned it How many days post ov are you? So I can count with you (and goad you into testing!)

Neeko · 04/08/2009 20:54

Moon x-post. You are lucky and it's a sign that you are on the right track that you can recognise that. The chocolate-buying-word-in-manager's-ear-guy sounds just lovely. I hope he's married and his wife appreciates him

I have my niece staying tonight. It wasn't easy to get two hyper girls to bed. I'll probably be up at half-four tomorrow just like at Santa time. Go on, admit it. You all got up ridiclously early at Santa time. One year my mum fed us Calms as she was so fed up of us being up before 3am. She had to waken us at 8am and felt awful

cupcakefairy · 04/08/2009 21:00

Ha, Neeko I can well imagine your dd and her cousin running riot we used to love it when our cousins came to stay... do they put on shows for you? (Or was that just my crazy family )
I'm only 7DPO today! will maybe test Monday but should really wait a bit longer, will see how the temps go!

OP posts:
BlueMoon1981 · 04/08/2009 21:01

neeko i always say to him i hope your wife appreciates you! he is lovely though, i've never met such a kind and wise man, who always knows just what to say. he once also said to me if i could pick a daughter i'd have one just like you. [heartmelt emoticon]

at your mum feeding you Calms, i can only guess you must have been particularly hyperactive and giddy! makes a good story though and you turned out ok didn't you i have always been a good sleeper so i cant speak for being up early at Santa time, even as a kid, i've always loved my bed!
