See you soon. The bar's open!

Have just watched 'waltz for bashir'.

And gained a sense of perspective.utterly heartbreaking.

VeryAngryGusset · 30/07/2009 08:46

Oh I only clean when forced to do so by the imminent arrival of visitors.

ginhag it's all crap isn't it?

Just realised that if get diffed this coming cycle will be 8 weeks for trip to Thailand which is utter pants as won't be able to drink but also won't be far enough along to be sure not-drinking is worth it. So am thinking that may miss the next two cycles and try in Nov. But actually may as well not alter current behaviour as have been successfully avoiding pregnancy to date anyway....

Got in early to catch up on work and have been catching up on here instead...you lot are a bad influence...

laurielou · 30/07/2009 09:03

VAG are you a figment of my imagination? I too was also considering stopping trying for the next 2 months as it would make me about 8 weeks when I go to Thailand. But then thought I've been highly successful in avoiding PG so far, what the hell is likely to happen in the next 2 months?

Not overly concerned about the drinking to be honest - last time I went to Thailand it was hotter than the face of the sun & all I wanted was water. Oh, and this lovely banana smoothie thing........

wildfig · 30/07/2009 09:05

Have the RTOD. Is the first one since I started SWI that I knew i couldn't possibly be pregnant and thus when it started yesterday I didn't actually mind. No tears, no yelling at the bathroom, no (quite liderally) pissing away £20 on negative pregnancy tests. Quite liberating, actually. I recommend it, once in a while!

hag is OK to be gloomy. This is all part of the Daily Fail's plan to reduce all women to self-loathing automatons counting their days and checking their knickers for mucus. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole mucus thing was an evil practical joke.

VAG Just go for it. If you do get diffed, you might not feel like drinking anyway in Thailand. And if you don't, you'll spend the rest of your life (erroneously) convinced that the Egg with Your Name on It was the one that dropped into oblivion in August.

[papercuts all round]

Has anyone got a Wii (Fit)? Should I get one? Current thinking on the new house is that since we'll have exactly zero money left to go out, plus a puppy to train, we should make our entertainment home-based. And obv there will be two weeks a month when we can't be making our own entertainment upstairs. [grooo face]

wildfig · 30/07/2009 09:06

Sorry, is there some kind of works outing to Thailand going on? Are we all invited?

donttrythisathome · 30/07/2009 09:18

ginhag you suffered a bereavement. How you're feeling is reasonable. Go with it gal. Love the new acronym BTY.

laurie and vag despite my constant whinging the non-drinking thing is bearable. The not being able to buy the speed tablets and valium they sell in the Thai chemists would be hell though If I had taken a break from the TTC I would def have always been convinced I missed my one and only opportunity (mad I know).

How do you get a cleaner? Even though I have zero cash (OH just gone self-employed so no steady income yet from him) this is one luxury I NEED! I have no guilt about it - my mother was a cleaner and it's a job like any other. BTY anyone need a fab carpenter?

donttrythisathome · 30/07/2009 09:22

BTY?! BTW.

Cosmosis · 30/07/2009 09:41

Morning all. I need a stiff drink please. I have a 3rd (!!!) interview for that job this afternoon. I didn't sleep last night and how feel like shit. Perk me up please so I am in interview mode for 3pm! Several slaps around the chops should do it, although please be careful not to leave marks!

idealcamel · 30/07/2009 09:46
