Well, ladies, after hanging around here waiting to hop off the fence, DH suggested that it was time to piss or get off the pot, so we have have decided to throw caution to wind and go for it this month!

Should I feel excited? I feel terrified!!! We are going to a beer festival this weekend, so hopefully a weekend of non-stop boozing will either a) guarantee first time success, b) render DH completely unable to "perform", c) make us so hungover that the idea of adding a child into the mix won't seem so desirable. Answers on a postcard please.

My period has not yet arrived - don't know what that was about earlier - I never used to check the bog roll with such intent or vigour.

We decided to become parents in a bar in portugal after our 3rd jug of Sangria, just before we ran out on the bill (only for the chocolate mousse because we were too pissed to think to go to the cashpoint!) and in our drunken brilliance decided the best route of escape was around the headland... where we promptly slipped on rocks and got cut off by the tide. So we had to climb up the cliffs instead. A fine example of prospective parenting I'm sure!
