Moon yes I'm a teacher, but I'm on holiday! Pleased to hear you sounding better and that there some signs of you thinking about trying again.

Mermaidwomanofmystery What exactly is it you do? I'm intrigued.

I'm glad to see I've started a rose trend amongst the small panters. We have to have something over you BFPers!

Joolsiam · 29/06/2009 21:28

Just enjoying a crisp ice cold glass of rose cava

Just wondering if I can keep it fizzy till tomorrow or will be forced to drink it all tonight

MrsKate · 29/06/2009 21:29

hopingalways · 30/06/2009 10:01

just heard I didn't get the job I applied for. Now looking at having my pay cut in half in September when my job ceases to exist...just when DH is going back to uni. Consoling self that I wont get made redundant, and I can still pay the bills.

I wont be able to afford childcare. Or maternity leave after full pay ends. Just as well I am convinced that we will never have kids anyway.

This is so not a good year for me so far.

mermaidspurse · 30/06/2009 12:33

I reckon my greenhouse is as hot as Dubai, barbie how do you stand that heat?
afternoon all hope everyone is ok -

hoping so sorry about your job, that is awful. At least you can still manage but it must feel like everything is against you at the minute. Without being too nosey how old are you, have you still gots lots of time on your side?

neeko I rather like being a woman of mystery! I reckon if you googled the begining of my email address you would find me.

mls sending out your daily hug and for a bit of variety a nice long pimms.xxx

sabs hey you lovely lady are you ok in this lovely weather?

Afternoon all I'm wearing a skirt and vest top and 2 necklaces, and feeling very summery... (not that 2 necklaces is summery, but it's quite fun; they make lots of noise when I move, it's a bonus that it's probably annoying everyone in the office )

hoping I am also curious as to how old you are ..do tell, and ooh is your hubby going to Cardiff Uni? Sorry about the job and stuff but hey, maybe that will contribute to the whole sod's law theory!

Had a text from Iggy yesterday; she is missing us and sends her love! They have some sun and thunder in Italy apparently... I wish I was in Italy instead of my office!

How are you MLS? Is your dh having more long meetings today or do you get to phone him every 20 minutes for reassurance? (That's what I'd be doing! I must be such an annoying wife!)

MummyLovesSadie · 30/06/2009 13:44

Hi Cupcake feeling grotty today. Three days of bleeding & still have not miscarried. Dh managed to get home early at 4.30 yesterday but no phone calls or emails, he's constantly in meetings & presentations so I'd have to go through his secretary. Your skirt/necklace/vest combo sounds nice.

I've made some of Mermaids soup today but it is still untouched on the hob as I'm still having a complete nightmare getting dd to go to sleep. I'm upstairs now when I've been for the last hour & 40 mins trying to get her to sleep.

hopingalways · 30/06/2009 14:14

mls I am so sorry for all you're going through, really wish I could wave a magic wand and get it all over, so you can start the healing

cupcake and mermaid I'm 24, so rationally I know I have time on my side, but doesn't feel this way. I was seriously ill when I was 20 (the life endangering, face the possibility you will never walk again even if you do live past 21 kind of illness) and it was a good 2 years before I recovered properly. I'm fine now, but when we thought I'd die what I really regretted was that I'd never have any children. I know I've completely lost my sense of perspective and I'm not properly grateful for all the wonderful things I have, but now I can't bear to waste any of the time I have

However, I am definitely too old for the tantrum I want to throw right now. I think my team would want me sectioned if I lay on the floor and kicked and screamed

Dh is going to Newport, Cardiff didn't do the course he wanted, boo!

Joolsiam · 30/06/2009 14:25

Ladies - just letting you know that I bravely took quick, decisive action (unusual for me !!) and got a post on this thread removed - it could have outed the RL name of one of us and I don't think any of us really wants that up on the net in black and white

I'm happy for people to know who I am, and like the thought of knowing who you all are, but lets keep that between ourselves in emails and texts

Right, back to work, and counting the hours till I can go home and sit in the sun (or is that drink more wine !)

mermaidspurse · 30/06/2009 14:28

hoping oh honey you have been through so much in such a short time. It is no wonder you feel as you do, to face your own mortality and come out the other side must change your perspective on life totally. Huge hugs.xx

mls I hope you are not in too much pain, 3 days of bleeding you poor thing. Rest lots, not easy in this heat. Thinking of you heaps you are being so brave and strong.

4everhopeful · 30/06/2009 14:38

Afternoon all! Just a quickie Im being good again today! Isnt it blazing?! I love it, DH used to call me his solar charged girlfriend when we got together! Roll on 4pm, the garden and a large glass of rose for me Trying not to have bump but oh my, they are everywhere & all my summer dresses were hiding a little bump this time last year so bit sad wearing them again this year, knowing their should be an even bigger bump under them now too... Oh well onwards & upwards eh?

Hows my dear MLS? Sorry its dragging out honey, would you consider erpc? Its your 40th this weekend as well isnt it? You deserve lots of pampering at your not so secret party! Oh btw think you exposed mermaid and MN removed the post! Never seen that before!

I confess I sneaked a peek mermaid but will keep shtoom! We watched the tennis too (through one eye)!.. Hope you havent baked away in your greenhouse!

Cupcake you sound bright and summery today! I like jangly jewellery!

Hoping poor hon, you've really been through it, so in your case, age is irrelevent, but is on your side. My SIL had cancer at 14 & told would never have kids but now has 4, so as you know yourself, people can beat the odds... It will happen hon, but dont knock yourself for having a down day or 3... (I have plenty!)

Big > to the rest of you lovely ladies xxxxx Enjoy the heatwave..!

4everhopeful · 30/06/2009 14:43

x post Jools! Ahh you orchestrated that then! . Was a bit of an expose! Must admit I do feel a bit panicy about the RL crossover sometimes!

mermaidspurse · 30/06/2009 14:52

Have a lovely afternoon 4ever reckon we should all jingle jangle off with summer jewellery on and open the rose.

Neeko · 30/06/2009 15:25

Hi all. I wondered what MLS could possibly have written so thanks for that. It's easy to forget that the whole world could be reading this thread sometimes isn't it?

Still potty training. DD managed to go 6 hours without a wee today. No idea where she put it but it all came out in the end

Hope you're all ok today.

Joolsiam · 30/06/2009 15:46

It is so cosy in here, it is easy to forget that this is the world wide web

Since I work in IT, I remain more aware of such things than most. Didn't want to make a big thing of it - just thought it was info best kept private and tried to act in everyone's best interests before the info had been on the thread for too long

Tis beautifully cool in my office today - I think the heat is going to hit me like a ton of bricks when I make my escape. Pub quiz tonight and I'm currently contemplating whether I could seduce DP if I take enough painkillers for my back Well actually it is my lower back / hips / buttocks that feel like they are falling apart. I read an interesting comment on another thread this morning where someones osteopath suggested that miscarriages can cause problems with pelvic alignment - that is exactly my problem I think ....

Hope things happen for you soon MLS - that will be a milestone passed

Hoping - all things happen for a reason and your dream job is just around the corner, I am sure - and as soon as you start it, you will fall pregnant . I think I once read somewhere on mnet that this is called the law of pregnativity - I like that phrase !

cupcakefairy · 30/06/2009 15:58

Hooray, everybody join me in my jangly jewellery party! I'm definitely liking the idea of a glass of rosé in the garden tonight! (Or in my case, the concrete slabs covered in pots of veg that passes for a 'garden'!)
Speaking of veg, mermaid do you have any yield from yours yet? We have had the first courgette and cucumber...very yummy. Still waiting on peppers and tomatoes...

hoping I'm 24 too, yippee! Even more reason for us to get our BFPs together - I'll send up a request to the big man upstairs

mermaidspurse · 30/06/2009 16:18

cupcake you are overflowing with summery vibes today I do have one red tomato on my totem variety, the others are all green but coming along. Peppers are just forming but I think it may be a bit hot for them. Chillis are just forming so you are doing well with your cucumbers, I have never managed to get them growing on.

jools pelvic realignment sounds very painful but almost anything is worth a go...
enjoy the quiz and dh

neeko your dd must have the bladder of a rhino

Joolsiam · 30/06/2009 16:20

My pepper plants got eaten

I have peas though, in their little pods and the strawberries I have rescued from the thieving little grey squirrel have been very yummy indeed.

Lots of flowers on my tomato plants, but no fruit yet ...

4everhopeful · 30/06/2009 16:24

Ooh cupcake & hoping you young'uns! Got 10 yrs on you, can I still come to your jangly jewelleried, rose drinking, garden party?!? I shall virtually join you from our newly assembled swingchair on our lawn! Am I showing my age?!

Neeko well done on the potty training! Sounds ... erm.. fun?! Worthy of a glass of rose deffo!

Jools I have pelvic misallignment, a recurring sprain on the pelvic muscle from my hip to my lumber spine that causes spasms, sound similar? Had it on & off for years and can be torturous, so hugs sympathy and a glass of BD inspiring rose for you with added babydust!

Lovely Mermaid I shall certainly enjoy our jangly jewelleried, rose drinking, garden party & v much looking forward to sharing a glass or 3 with you in our virtual land! Clink clink everyone! OJ for the pant peeps! xxxxxx

4everhopeful · 30/06/2009 16:27

Ooooh dear another sign of age MLS another everlasting hug for you! xxxx

mermaidspurse · 30/06/2009 16:31
