Here we go a shiny new thread.....

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 29/06/2009 08:53

I have one friend who is due to have her baby today (), another who has a ds the same age as my dd so she is a possibility. My next door neighbour who helped me when I had my last mc works one day a week which is a Monday, so that's unfortunate. No pain yet but I didn't get much last time so hopefully I'll be lucky. Its the waiting that is he worst.

Neeko · 29/06/2009 09:00

I know. It's really hard. Can you at least put your friend with the DS on standby? Have you got all your painkillers ad stuff to hand? I found a hot water bottle really helped me too. Take care.

Molliemooma · 29/06/2009 09:26

MLS I'm not at work today, wish I could come and hold your hand or at least play with your DD, thinking of you lots and sending healing thoughts x
Barbie I really hope you are off work again today and until you come home on Thursday. Yes scan is Thurs same day as yours, we'll virtual hand hold together, what time is yours? Mine is 3.40pm.
Jools How's the back today?
Hoping Here's "hoping" you are feeling better today after your meltdown yesterday, I think you should do all the things you said, sell the house, change jobs etc etc that way you are guaranteed a baby
Cupcake So glad you had a lovely holiday, I so hope you be having a holiday BFP
Gracie I don't know about hair strokes for you I think a tummy stroke is in order, poor you
Neeko How is the potty training coming along, hope you have enough scooby doo pants to keep DD interested!
VJay Hope you are still taking it easy?
4ever I second Neeko I bet you can't do it
Curly Any symptoms to report yet?

I had Mum, Dad and DH nagging me yesterday that I was not to return to work yet, so I struck a deal and said I'd be off today but back tomorrow, I have to admit it's far nicer being at home than sat at my desk facing 16 interviews with rather p*ssed off people all day!

mermaidspurse · 29/06/2009 09:41

mls thinking about you all over the weekend. You are being so brave and strong. Hopefully because you know what is so sadly happening you can feel a incy wincy bit in control. Masses of love and heaps of virtual magazines, playdo for dd and choc and tipples for you.xx

mollie good girl for listening to the nagging, Thursday is getting nearer.x

neeko enjoy your well earned holiday

gracie up again you poor thing, its got to stop soon surely?

4ever phew windows all done ace

jools get to the chiropractor etc. Back pain is dreadful, even of this crp for lovely jools*

just nipping in cos working down the marina today yipeeeee so love to all.xx

GracieGirl · 29/06/2009 11:00

Morning all!

MLS its a real shame none of us live nearer so we could come round and entertain your lovely DD. I hope you are not in too much pain. lots of hairstroking for you.

4ever well done for decorating your front room, I've been getting round to doing mine with my DH for weeks, so far all we've got is far too many tester pots and no decision on a colour.

Mollie well done for putting yourself and Baby first and taking another day off. Only 3 sleeps now.

*MrsKate had her AF on saturday so she's CD 2 now.

Waves to neeko and mermaid.

I just slept from 3:30am straight through to 10:30am! Yesterday evening I went to see my friend (the one who named me Gracie), I've not seen a lot of him lately as we'd fell out for few months, made up, then I got pregnant and stopped sleeping and he's been busy. Anyhow he's had an operation to reconstruct his foot and is now immobile and not sleeping either. So we nattered till 2:30am, i drove home and slept no problem! I did get pain at his house, but its a lot less inconvenient when I'm already awake. You have laughed at our antics trying to get rid of the pain, I hid in the kitchen (I don't do pain with an audience!), he's shuffling round the floor on his bottom trying to follow me to see what I'm up to. His 2 collie dogs and a dalmatian trying to round me up and stop me pacing around! We ended up out for a walk at 1am him on his crutches which he is bloody rubbish at using! and me leaning on random peoples fences whenever the pain got too bad, we must have looked a right pair!

hopingalways · 29/06/2009 11:58

thanks for the kind words ladies

neeko going through the tests now. still haven't had letter about appointment with clinic but don't know how it works in our area...will have to keep an eye on that. Thanks

barbie never thought I would type this in freindliness, but glad you're feeling grotty, all really good signs

gracie your description made me laugh at my desk, then felt really bad laughing at people suffering so sorry! that little bean will be worth it in the end though

MLS you are being so brave.

vjay yikes feel for you in this heat! stoke up on some nice cool mini milks, the met office says a heatwave is coming...

4ever yay with the living room! I'm with you here, spent the weekend sanding 120 yr old floor boards. By saturday lunchtime I was contemplating divorce. Bribed my dh with beer to finish the job, then Tescos wouldn't sell me any becuase "your husband looks under 25 and can't prove he isn't"...luckily dh left the store with embarrassment, leaving me free to let rip with righteous indignation. loudly. drew quite a crowd

cupcake snap! I am in cardiff too! the pregnant cat is actually my parents, but in 6-8 weeks I shall be the proud owner of 2+ kittens! if you would like the distraction of something small and fluffy to play with, you're welcome round

curlee still so thrilled for you!

mermaid marina in this sunshine ... or at least I think it's sunny, no windows where I am

jools ouch! my nurse of a sister swears by germoline it has an aneasthetic in as well as antiseptic or something. the way she uses it i expect she'd recommend it for anything short of cardiac arrest

mollie good for you putting your health first. after the hassle that was sanding the floors this weekend, I'm not going to sell the house out of pure stubborness!

hello iggy and moon if you're lurking! Has anyone seen sophables recently?

I'm now on CD20, how do I get myself added to the list?

barbie1 · 29/06/2009 12:32

4everhopeful · 29/06/2009 13:08

See girls I did it! Its lunchtime!
Yea barbie finally got human (& baby) friendly workhours! Ill be off having stage 2 of my windows ()done on thurs so may need some tx updates that day! Yea I was so low last week I never mentioned my saga! Window people finished downstairs, but only booked 2 days so couldnt finish job & left upstairs (our bedroom) with exposed brickwork & steel supports holding ceiling up! We are camped in back bedroom with mattress on the floor! House is in chaos! Said they couldnt come back til this thurs - what a liberty! I sobbed to one of the poor workman about my 4mc - poor bloke didnt know what to say! Fuming cos windows repaired, not replaced, when first got them done 8yrs back they never supported them so my top bay settled onto my lower bay and my bedroom wall was coming away from the ceiling and big cracks all overfront of house Major structural damage caused, luckily guaranteed so when found cause, let the company know, but that was in feb so spent 5months chasing to get it fixed (& delaying all decorating plans), then finally get a date & they dont book enough time! You can imagine how I was! As usual it all came back to OV dates & our 3m time limit so have been going quietly mad with it! Just want our house back to normal!

mermaidspurse · 29/06/2009 14:58

opps sorry 4ever for thinking your window saga was over. No wonder you had the week from hell. Don't think my house will ever be normal ever again so I sympathise. Are they not paying for the redecorating etc
Have you got a reply from the consultant yet?

barbie that is fantstic news on the reduced hours and about time too. So roll on the scan day and then a really happy home coming for you. it feels like ages that you went out there. Glad that your lovely dh also had a good birthday session.

hoping I bet your 120 year old floor boards look stunning and worth the effort. However I am very, very jealous at being refused alcohol. I cannot tell you how happy it would make me if someone said prove you are 25 or actually having a toyboy husband who looked younger than 25

gracie that is a great picture of you both staggering along clutching various bits of street furniture. I sincerly hope both your tummy and your poor friends foot start behaving themselves soon.x

Mrsmissedkate sending you out a big hug out there in rl and hope that you and dh are ok.x

mls lots of love.xx

back in my comfort zone of slumped desk!

MrsKate · 29/06/2009 15:12

hi all im back !!!!!!!!!!!!

i have missed you all so much.

thanks for hugs

me and dh are so in love again lol
we were a bit down about af arriving tho we thought this month was the one even dh!!!!!.

il go and catch up xxxxxxx

mermaidspurse · 29/06/2009 15:15

kate that will take you a week then

Joolsiam · 29/06/2009 16:02

Waving madly at Kate

Well done on staying away 4Ever - I stayed away, but not working - a sneaky hour in the garden

Well, I'm guessing my consultant doesn't play golf like Mermaid's does - I have a follow-up appt on July 29th ...

barbie1 · 29/06/2009 16:12

Glad to see you back kate

jools thats not too long to wait, hopefully this one can source some answers for you, fingers crossed...

I left a full 15 mins early, im not at all bothered with work now, im offically on holiday wind down!

GracieGirl · 29/06/2009 16:20

I stayed away too but thats cos I fell asleep after writing my post at 11am and didn't wake up till 3pm!

Welcome back MrsKate!

Well done Barbie for getting better hours! I hope the time flies for you till your scan on thursday.

Hoping my sympathy on the sanding floor boards, I remember that job from my previous house - no fun at all! Don't feel guilty about laughing at me and my friend, we were laughing too!

cupcake only a month since my BFP? it seems like forever! I'm sure I should be about 30 weeks by now!! (8 weeks today)

4ever your windows saga sounds horrendous!

Mermaid are you on your 2ww now? Thanks for your kind wishes, I'll tell my friend. I was trying to explain you lot to him but didn't get far. He was looking at my Facebook page and he fancies Barbie and was wondering where I knew her from.

jools pleased to here you have your follow up appointment. Hows your back today?

Joolsiam · 29/06/2009 16:24

Barbie - meant to say I'm glad your hours have been cut Are we going to manage a proper RL meet-up whilst you are over here, or is everyone scared of sharing details and then actually meeting people they've been discussing CM and BD'ing with ?

Hoping - our floorboards desperately need sanding and revarnishing - wanna job ?

Back is slowly improving - I stayed at home today so I could get up from my desk and lie on the floor when it got too stiff, and that seems to have helped. I am debating whether to go to Pilates tonight and just do what I can - think the stretching might help ...

Based on my usual cycles, I'll be in my fertile window in 3 days time - need a working back for the strenuous activity that will follow

Neeko · 29/06/2009 16:34

Afternoon.

Welcome back Kate Missed you!

Gracie Glad to hear you're getting some sleep at last.

Barbie Yay on the shorter hours and putting your bean 1st. Proud of you

4ever Big gold star for you for work ethic today. Hope house troubles are fixed soon. Maybe you could use matress on floor for some role-play BDing?

Jools take it easy at pilates. Your back is needed later this week.

Hoping Glad to hear you sounding more upbeat. The floors sound fab by the way.

Mollie not long to go now although it'll feel like ages to you. Glad to hear you're giving in to the nagging.

mermaid Sounds like you've had an interesting day. Are you into all things nautical?

Cupcake Are you on the 2ww now?

MLS hope you're pulling through. Another virtual hug winging its way to you.

DD has used the potty 3 times today and I've painted the gargen furniture so toady counts as a success here.

Hope you all have a relaxing evening. There's half a bottle of Rose wne in the fridge shouting me. (Mermaid's been giving me lessons )

Neeko · 29/06/2009 16:36

Of course gargen means Garden and toady should be today and I haven't even touched the wine yet!

barbie1 · 29/06/2009 16:41

gg i thought your friend had a bad foot, not bad eyes!!!

jools im more than up for a meet up, however i think sept will be better when im based in london for a wedding....Im not bothered who knows me but i think ill be a bit if i were to meet your other halves!....

mermaidspurse · 29/06/2009 16:48

neeko next you will accuse me of drinking the other half - and I would!
potty training is so much easier when it is suny and fewer layers so well done your dd.
and yes I am nautical and this time of the year is quite busy which is always good for my purse!

jools I was worried about your back so glad you have turned up. You know needles are good for backs too... thats a fairly quick appointment lets hope he doesn't suddenly decide to up his handicap or something.

kate are you still skim reading? So glad you are feeling better and you are in loooove again, must be the weather

mls heres another hug your way, hopefully your dh is nearing home.xxx

MrsKate · 29/06/2009 16:53

BlueMoon1981 · 29/06/2009 19:26

hello girls

yes i am still lurking

just popping in to say kate welcome back we missed you!

mls thinking of you at this sad time, i hope things will be over for you soon so you can start to deal with it (hope that doesn't sound harsh, sorry if it does, its not meant that way)

neeko i love your typos, aren't you a teacher hehe

gracie had to laugh at you and your friend stumbling along in the middle of the night

cupcake thanks for adding me to the list, although me and dp are giving ttc-ing a break for a few months, but i will be back in the saddle soon

just wanted to say thanks to everyone for being here, and understanding when i just couldnt post, i love you all xxxxxx

cupcakefairy · 29/06/2009 21:04

Just popping in in the midst of the Murray game...very exciting, are all you Scos watching?

Hi moon glad you are still out there that's ok, just didn't want you to think you were forgotten from the list... hope you and dp are doing ok and giving each other lots of cuddles.

neeko yep, the 2ww for me...though not sure when I'd test as we have a long weekend at in-laws planned around testing time

Well, first day back at work was v busy, an was told about 3 new pregnancies around the office!! One is a v close friend of mine so really happy for her...just felt a bit sad too. Would be lush if I got my bfp this month though as I'd only be a few weeks behind her (she's about 7 weeks)
