LionstarBigPants · 19/06/2009 14:57

Hi girls, haven't got time for a big catchup, just stopping in to say goodbye for a couple of weeks whilst we're on hols. May get internet in Italy, so hope to at least get some news of how you all are from time to time!

Hope there is lots of happy news by the time I get back. Bye x

GracieGirl · 19/06/2009 17:41

Hello Barbie, good to hear from you. I still had a positive pregnancy test 2 weeks after having an ERPC, it will remain positive until all the pregnancy hormones are out of your system, yes major head f**k! I forget what your blood HCG levels were before (? 6000) but your urine HCG levels would need to be less than 10 for the tests I sent you to be negative. Good to hear the doctors are monitoring your progress and that your pain has gone now.

4ever ssshhhh about MrsKate testing! She's got a 35 day cycle so she's still got 11 days to go. We've just been out for another walk with Dolly the Collie to take her mind off the 2 WW.

MrsKate · 19/06/2009 21:29

yeah ive got ages to wait yet iv got to wait til a week on sunday if i dont break before xxx

GracieGirl · 20/06/2009 04:48

Is it morning yet?

GracieGirl · 20/06/2009 10:52

Hellllllooooooooooo!! it echos in here today!

Nevermind Gracie talks to herself normally anyway.

I'm off to a 90th birthday lunch today, I have to be there in an hour and a half and I've just been through my wardrobe and realised I can't fasten anything that's even vaguely smart. I'm sure its not pregnancy bulge yet probably IBS, but whatever it is I have nothing to wear. I really can't go in jeans can I ?? I have 2 pairs of maternity jeans from last time. People in their 90's aren't into jeans are they?

Right, I need a really long top so I can go with my trousers not done up without anyone noticing.

Joolsiam · 20/06/2009 11:29

Gracie - you've probably gone now, but I've heard the best thing to do is slip a hair band round the button and through the hole, so you have a sort of flexible, expanding fastener for tight trousers Hope you found something nice !

Have been to the gym - legs bums tums and dance aerobics - a really challenging class as I'm not really very good at dance, so enjoy doing something different My back held up, but is a bit achey so I'm off to do my Pilates stretches in a mo - then a quick shower, mop the floors downstairs, then a hair appt this afternoon.

PMT seems to have vanished, although I did have to run out of the pub yesterday as a young lad I know and like came in showing off pics of his new daughter, born on my due date They are both 21, weren't even living together and the baby was unplanned. They are lovely but I am so I had to leave because I couldn't stop crying.

AF not here yet, but I think I ov'ed late, so she will probably arrive tomorrow - had a bit of brown spotting so I know she is lurking

Have a good day everyone

barbie1 · 20/06/2009 11:33

hi girls im back at work i decided there wasnt much point in stressing so i came back to take my mind of things until tomorrow night at the doctors...i have to wait until monday for the results....the strange thing is i think i will be really gutted to find out the worse even though my head tells me that its already happened! ill cope with it when it happens.............

barbie1 · 20/06/2009 11:42

Today though my work trousers are tight aka gg and i gagged a fair few times but only the water content came back up [tmi, im sorry!) Im still really thirsy and still craving salt roll on monday

Just arranged dh birthday meal next friday, 18 of us at a all day brunch with unlimited drinking the manager called to remind me it wont be a quiet affair and was i ok with that? Its the same brunch as that british couple went before having sex on the beach....I promise to stay away from the beach after

Oh and my sis in law (her dad is living with dh mum) has just said she is pregnant and is due om the same day as i would of been in feb.... first month of trying, has two kids already and has only beenm with her partner (my ex from when i was 16!!) for 8 months...no money between them jealous?? me????

mermaidspurse · 20/06/2009 14:03

afternoon all

lion have a lovely holiday, I would love to go to Italy, its on my very long list.

barbie For someone who reckons she flounces you are one very strong young lady. It sounds like that lovely dh of yours birthday planning is helping distract you.
It is horrible how there stays this glimmer of hope eternal in your head waiting for tests and scans and even writing that it has upset me so god alone knows how you are feeling at the minute.

I will pop in over the weekend. Oh yes and I can remember warning you about sunbeds on the beach before you moved out there so you just behave cos otherwise we will be sending you files in cakes

gracie you early morning bird - hope you enjoyed the birthday, not often you get to go to a 90th

jools you make me tired just reading about your daily exploits. bloody edds and the on the spot reaction they cause sending you a hug and a large glass of wine, its sh*t.
Thats for barbie too.xx

right I'm off to the greenhouse with the paper and a glass of wine, that is so naughty on a saturday afternoon

barbie1 · 20/06/2009 16:32

it very quiet in here today, are you all holed up in mermaids green house drinking wine???

mermaid im so excited about coming back to the westcountry!! have you got any idea of any snowboarding shops down your end...im sure there was one included in a surf shop? if im not having a baby im going to become a pro snowboarder and get good enough to book my 30th birthday in jan to be on the slopes!

GracieGirl · 20/06/2009 17:42

Hello again!

I've temporarily escaped from the 90th party as was getting my abdomen cramps again, so I'm at my mums house round the corner with the excuse of watering her hanging baskets whilst they're on holiday. Apparently there's an evening do too, she's got some stamina for a 90 year old! I got sat between 2 babies at the table as apparently I need to be encouraged to get on with having children, they did things earlier in her day you know!

Barbie I hope you're not working too hard. You are being very strong. Snowboarding sounds a fun hobby though.

Jools you are so energetic, I get tired just reading your posts!

Mermaid I hope you're enjoying your sneaky glass of wine.

Neeko · 20/06/2009 20:27

Knock knock. Can I please come back?
I thought I'd feel less messed up if I stayed away from the thread for a while, but it seems I only spend time thinking about you all and asking myself things like: I wonder if Barbie's coping ok?/if Gracie's managing to sleep yet?/if Jools has lost anymore weight/if 4ever has cracked and tested?/if Kate is out walking Dolly?/if Moon is doing ok?/if Vjay bought that epilator?/if mermaid is drinking wine (again)? and so on. Please note the thoughts become more random as they go on

So it seems that you are all totally ingrained into my life and I'd rather TTC with you for support than do anything without you all.

So do I get to be a fully paid up Emmsy's again????

Joolsiam · 20/06/2009 21:06

Welcome back Neeko

hehe - what are you implying about Mermaid and wine !!

Neeko · 20/06/2009 21:23

Hi Jools and thanks.
Not implying anything really. Had just read back on the last page of posts and she was last seen heading into the greenhouse. Hoped to raise a
How's the PMT?

GracieGirl · 20/06/2009 22:11

Yeah Neeko's back!!!

I really struggled to come up with excuses for not drinking any sherry today, all the usual excuses don't cut it with 90 year olds! Whatever antibiotics you say you're on they are on much more scary tablets and are still drinking! Apparently sherry doesn't count! I'm pretty sure one sip of sherry and I'd be vomiting everywhere which never looks good at a party!

Neeko · 20/06/2009 22:14

Hi Gracie 90th parties? Really? You're ONLY pregnant you know. Your life isn't over yet! Sherry is repulsive at the best of times.
I've just combined a chocolate minimilk with a too large Baileys.was yummy. Feeling very relaxed now.

GracieGirl · 20/06/2009 22:24

It was my "Extra Granny's" birthday. She's not related at all really but my Granny died 10 years ago and she stepped into the role. She was my next door neighbour before I got a house with my DH. She's a bit trendy for 90, watches Big Brother, stays up till all hours watching unsuitable TV and lies in till lunch time (though sets alarm for 7am to open all the curtains so everyone thinks she's a normal 90 year old) . You get force fed sherry at any time of the day there, she used to pass it over the fence when I was in the garden using power tools - really not a good idea!

Neeko chocolate mini milk sounds yummy!

Neeko · 21/06/2009 08:01

Gracie She sounds lovely. An extra granny is always nice. Hope you managed a full night's sleep last night. How much longer do you have off work?

Morning to everyone else. The medicinal Bailey's has left me with a hangover-type headache. I'm such a lightweight

bluesatinsash · 21/06/2009 09:58

Hey Neeko - good to see you! I was thinking about you last night as I blubbed my way through the 'Izzy wedding' episode of Grey's - my heart is breaking for her and Alex and how good did Meredith's hair look all wavy . Even DH had a lump in his throat at Alex's vows!

Gracie - your extra Grannie sounds fabulous! Hope your tummy has settled down today.

Mermaid - I can so picture you retiring to the greenhouse with The Guardian and some vino - lovely.

4ever - to test or not to test today? Sending buckets and buckets of babydust x

Off to have shower, its the playgroup fete today and I'm manning the booze stall!

mermaidspurse · 21/06/2009 10:14

neeko morning sunny lady, nice to have you back I woke up this morning and thought omg 4evers testing day so I know what you mean about how ingrained people you have all become. Glad you are ok though.

I got dragged out the greenhouse and went boating instead (10ft dingy) and having rowed against wind and tide and feeling very healthy and windswept ate a huge pizza and finished off the wine. weekends should be longer, if only to recover from them

gracie I want to be like that at 90 brilliant! Are you eating lots of nice live yogurt by the way?

barbie Will be thinking of you today soooo much. You are being so strong and brave.xx
I never tired snowboarding, went skiing before snowboarding appeared on the slopes. but I reckon were there is a surf shop you will find snowboards, they seem to go hand in hand. My high street is all surf shops with the odd pasty shop lurking next to it. I expect there are some good ones up in Plymouth too.

4ever I am all of a flutter, please crank up your internet connection.

mermaidspurse · 21/06/2009 10:15

blue now thats my kind of stall Have a fab time.xx

GracieGirl · 21/06/2009 11:07

Morning ladies!

I was up at 2am and 4am but then slept till nearly 11am so I'm feeling quite human now. Neeko my sick note runs out on wednesday, if only I could get my shifts to fit in with my sleep pattern. I think I should probably take another week off and attempt to go back after that. A hangover after 2 baileys and a mini milk! You are a light weight!

You're right Mermaid it was the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning, 4ever is testing today!
Boating sounds very energetic, yes I think you need another weekend to recover!

Blue enjoy your playgroup fete, I'm sure there was never a booze stall when I was little!

mermaidspurse · 21/06/2009 11:20

I bet everyones offloaded their dodgey bottles of sherry

4everhopeful · 21/06/2009 11:51
