Here we go a shiny new thread.....

OP posts:
bakingqueen · 17/06/2009 19:00

Afternoon all hope your well good news on your scan mm and for your GP appointment gracie x. Big sympathy for dentist visits hate going have to go to a private one for nervous patients its very good but pricey worth it though! Had a bit of a rubbish day today was meant to be going for tea with my friend who is moving to china it was my last chance to see her before she went and she is poorly so will not get to see her now as at work all the time before she leaves . Had an appointment with occy health for work today as had all the time off when I had mc this appointment was meant to be about my ibs and how many days off I should be expected to need sick for it each year! All the Dr wanted to talk about mc he just kept going on about it in a really clumsy way he went on and on until I started crying at him. He then kept asking if I was depressed! When I said no he kept on and on hence more crying then he said are you sleeping, do you find yourself staying in all the time? No and no then he said but your crying. Felt like saying I'm crying because your an insensitive idiot! Left feeling worse than when I went in with mascara all down my face! What an idiot so had to indulge in some retail therapy this afternoon and bought some lovely steak for tea from farm shop which should help! Sorry this post is a bit me me me normal service will be resumed soon promise ps barbie so glad your back and thanks to Mr barbie for convincing you x

MrsKate · 17/06/2009 19:07

ahh Bakingqueen im so sorry about your rubbish day thats a stupid dr to upset you more xxxxxxx

cupofteaplease · 17/06/2009 19:15

Hi all,

Thought I'd just pop on after a long absense to let you know my bad news My dh has lost his job, so we can no longer afford to TTC. Feel disappointed, but I realise now that losing our baby must have been for the best, part of the greater plan. If I'd still been pregnant, we'd be even more stressed and panicking than we already are.

So, it's with a heavy heart that I'm walking away from the conception threads, at least for the near future.

Best wishes and good luck to you all. I hope you get the BFPs you so deserve x

Curlywurlee · 17/06/2009 19:19

bakingqueen what a muppet I'm sure everyone on this forum cries over their MCs sometimes, especially when people mention it, never mind giving you a drilling on it. That's not depression, it's called grief for gods sake. Here's a mad big hug for you honey, enjoy your dinner and forget that idiot

Evenin' gracie kate and Iggy and anyone who's lurking tonight

MrsKate · 17/06/2009 19:22

hi curly xx

oh cupoftea sorry about your dh job .

Heathcliffscathy · 17/06/2009 19:27

hello, i've posted a separate thread but is EWCM possible on CD26 of 28???

cause that's what i've just experienced...

what does it mean.

i have massive pmt (stronger than ever before it seems).

Curlywurlee · 17/06/2009 19:51

Sorry cupoftea just realised I x-posted with you. That's rubbish news I'll keep my fingers crossed that DH gets a new job soon. In the meantime take care of yourself and we'll miss you xxx

Sophable it's normal to get discharge like EWCM before your AF, or indeed when you are pregnant. It may be that you are just more aware of your body now

VJaybigpants · 17/06/2009 20:09

Sorry about dh's job cupoftea, I hope he gets another job soon.

Dentist wasn't too bad once I explained about ds's autism, ds just needs to know what's going on all the time and the dentist actually explained what he was doing to my mouth, which was good. The crap part was I had to pay!!!I handed them my exemption certificate and they said because they were private I still had to pay!

gracie your doc sounds fab and is looking after you. My sil had unexplained pain in the early stages of her pg, then when she got to 12 weeks it went. Lets hope it goes sooner than that though

OP posts:
Molliemooma · 17/06/2009 21:25

Barbie Yay so glad you didn't go for long I knew your DH was a thoroughly good sort! How are you holding up, are you still bleeding?
Neeko Just in case you are lurking, I understand why you are having a break, just really hope you come back with some good news, take care x
MM Fantastic news, so pleased that the scan went well, wonderful that you are having another one in 2 weeks
cupoftea So sorry to hear of DH's job, I am a big believer in fate, so let's hope new job means new baby
4ever Sorry to hear you're feeling stressed about work, but good news on the window battle, now stop worrying, relax, put your feet up and wait for your BFP, hopefully next week
Mermaid Good news on the consultants appt, I agree with 4ever kick ass!
Curly Hurray for m/s It is bizarre that we wish for these symptoms
Gracie Glad to hear you have been signed off and have an understanding doctor, it really helps, take it easy
Bakingqueen What a tw*t that doctor was Some people need their heads examining how can they be so insensitive?? Glad to hear you took the sensible route - retail therapy

Waves to Kate Jools Iggy Vjay and all the other people I have probably forgotten, this is a late night for me I'm off to bed

iggypiggy · 18/06/2009 09:09

4ever poor you sorry you feeling stressed and I know what you mean about being PG changing things. I made some decisions about work when I was PG last time and then obviously that changed with the MC - so am now totally stuck as to what to do for the best.

curly yay for the MS (and sympathy too xx)

gracie your dr sounds lovely hope you manage a bit more sleep soon tho!

bakingqueen that's so bad - that dr sounds like an idoit. Hope steak cheered you up tho.

vjay glad your dentist was ok too!

mermaid good that your appointment is going to happen.

cupoftea so sorry to hear about your DHs job and that you won't be around any more - we will miss you

mm fab news about scan!

sophable Not sure but I've no idea what's going on with my body at the mo - so I guess things take a while to settle down.

hello to mollie kate jools and everyone else!

My news is that AF arrived this morning - bit odd cos no real signs either way! And no PMT - but quite pleased is here now cos I wasn't that hopeful for this month - and means we can start with jiggy July or some other such silly month of BD action

iggypiggy · 18/06/2009 09:10

also - whilst am looking for good news about the arrival of AF - it means i can have a few drinks while on holiday too!

GracieGirl · 18/06/2009 09:24

Morning! No news from me, my pain is still the same but at least I'm off work and can rest.

BakingQueen I'm sorry you had such a hard time from your occupational health doctor. Surely he is not allowed to question your time off with a miscarriage as it was no doubt with a sick note and you had very good reason to be off. Stupid man to be surprised at you crying when he discussed your miscarriage insensitively!! Would he be happier if you had laughed??? Do you have a good manager or matron who could fight your cause with the occupational health department?

Sophable, Curly is right about your discharge, lets hope it means a BFP and not AF.

Vjay thanks for telling me about your SIL's unexplained early pregnancy pain, I'm trying to reassure myself that its all ok and its just hormones causing the pain and not any problem with my Bean.

Mollie - hello!

Cupoftea I'm sorry to hear about your DH's job and that it means you'll be leaving us. I hope he gets a new job very soon.

GracieGirl · 18/06/2009 09:27

Iggy Good morning I crossed posted with you. Sorry AF arrived but pleased you can have a drink whilst on holiday and you get to start a new month. Jiggy July sounds fun!

4everhopeful · 18/06/2009 09:32

NO time for individual posts at mo, have boring training course today upstairs, will be back at desk at lunch so hopefully catch up then! Thanks for all being so sweet about my stresses yesterday.. I dreamt of BFP last night & test had 3 lines on it & didnt know what it meant?!?! Dreamt BFP last month too but was only 2 lines...? Also just heard manager has blummin scarlet fever & they are checking who has been in contact?!?! Scarey, feel for the 3 heavily PG girls here...

Anyway back at lunch - love to all xxxxx

4everhopeful · 18/06/2009 10:01

Course starts at 10am now so just quickly..
Curly nearly there! Good luck with last exam, MS sounds very healthy!
Gracie glad GP didnt think its too serious & will pass, he does sound lovely, listen to his advice & enjoy the rest!
Iggy sorry about AF - I agree Jiggy July sounds a whole lotta fun in the holiday sun!
Bakinqueen I had similar experience with our occ health advisor & it was a lady! Blummin clueless idiots!
Cupoftea so sorry about your DH job, know the fear of all that at the mo.. Hopefully a case of 1 door closes and another opens? Be very sad to see you go, hopefully will see you back soon?!
Vjay glad the dentist came good for DS, not glad about paying tho - huff!
Jools hope you enjoyed the pub quiz & bagged a prize!
Barbie hope you are relaxing on a lounger with a good mag & big glass of juice in the sun!
Morning to the lovely mermaid!

Right off to this course, its a query tracking database for our member services dept to send us queries, whats wrong with e-mail? They love to over complicate things here!

GracieGirl · 18/06/2009 10:34

4ever enjoy your very exciting sounding course!

GracieGirl · 18/06/2009 13:31

Its very empty on here today! How was your exciting course 4ever? Just been for a 2 hour power nap.

4everhopeful · 18/06/2009 13:58

Hey Gracie empty isnt it? Good for you, rest all you can... My course was crap, already did it in dec & was one tiny extra bit so didnt really need to be there all morning after all, but thankfully done now!

The ongoing saga of 4everworld continues tho, firstly am bit down about fathers day on sun - its being rammed down my throat, adverts everywhere & colleagues talking about it, i miss my dad loads.. Its also prob worse cos am really worrying about my mum, she got over breast cancer 6yrs ago, & 2yrs ago she had a pulmonary embolism (blood clots on the lung).. Shes never been offered follow up treatment like another scan to see its all gone (just realised you're a nurse - yay, please help?!?!) she went to warfarin clinic for 6m & that was it. Yesterday she said her ankles and legs were a bit swollen & sore & reminded me they said to look out for that.. I made her book GP & she i there now, I sai dto her to ousdh for follow up & scan thats never been done since.. Did any of that make sense? Whats your protocol Gracie? Sorry to talk work when you are resting!

4everhopeful · 18/06/2009 14:45

Hmm Sad

Curlywurlee · 18/06/2009 15:16

Hey 4ever no wonder you are worried. I am so sorry about your Dad I hope your Mum is okay.

I don't have any medical answers for you but if your mum has no luck with the GP, I googled to see if there is a society and maybe you could ring the Circulation Foundation for advice. Their number is on this site

Lol at your three lines I nearly wrote the exact same thing last night when I was thinking about your bfp and twins... spooky

Glad you got some sleep gracie. I think I might have a snooze myself before I hit the books again. Anything to keep this lunch down, I've already lost my breakfast

Curlywurlee · 18/06/2009 15:18

Forgot to say iggy sorry about stupid AF arriving but at least you can be bad on holiday now. You should treat this trip as the last hurrah before motherhood because it is coming soon

Tis very quiet in here today. Where is everyone?

4everhopeful · 18/06/2009 15:43

Everyone has gone away today

Thank you soooooo much for googling & posting that link for me Curly! Done lots of the same, just think its bad they never checked to see the clots were gone, anyway thank god, she phoned just now to say doc listened to her chest & cant hear any sign of clots, but is referring her back to chest clinic for a reassurance scan (we know all about them dont we?!). Her swollen ankle she has put down to tendonitus, so Im feeling a little reassured, but have been a wreck most of the day fighting tears! Im very protective of my mum, shes been through so much & we are very close, she's only 5mins away & I do housework, shopping, whatevers needed since my dad died cos she is 76, but looks 50! She only retired last year & is a super trooper & very independent but has awful arthritus so cant get about very easily. Anyway - PHEW!

I shall now focus on the thought of twins & how wierd you thought about 3 lines too! I just have my worry head on cos having little twinges & worrying a bean (or 2!) is trying to nestle but my silly body is attacking it & stopping it . I put prev PG twinges down to ligaments and blah blah but now am thinking what if all those times it was poor beans being attacked by my silly antibodies? It makes me sad that it might of hurt them .

I think im best just sleeping til sunday!

mermaidspurse · 18/06/2009 15:54

I'm in and out again -
cupoftea for you and dh, hope things work out, will be thinking of you.xxx

bakingqueen for you too honey and hope today is a little better. no to lumps of meat and yes to something sparkly

curly revise, go on back to it.xx

4ever might have missed ya, Fathers Day is a very silly commercial rubbish american thing, so ignore it lovely. I am sure you treated your dad like it was a fathers day every day when he was here.xx
I hope your mum is ok and well done for nagging her to go to the drs.

ig phew see it was that dentists that did it

love to allx

mermaidspurse · 18/06/2009 15:57

you have to chill girl - mermaid ducks as 4ever throws something at her!

iggypiggy · 18/06/2009 15:58

I am here!

4ever sorry you worried about your mum. Sounds like GP did the right thing though and at least she can have that scan. Mine had cancer in 2001 and has various other heath things going on inc arthritis and I find it all very worrying. We are very close too.

Might your body be attacking it then 4ever? curly hope lunch stayed down!

I have tried to update the list - might not have done very well... Should I move mm?
