Neeko yes it is great knowing my cycle basically off by heart. I was so regular that DH and I barely needed to chart, we knew exactly which days were off limits (before we were ttc this is) now the mc has thrown me off kilter a bit, as will pregnancy I'm sure but it's v easy to read the signs. Just got home after starting work at 7pm - (a 16 hour shift!) Had to go to a 3 hour meeting after my night shift. I think they are trying to kill me!!

jst come back from toddlers with ds, lots of pg mummies and little babies. Doesn't usually affect me but made me feel sad, I just don't think this going to happen. AF due tomorrow, did hpt last night and bfn have another in the packet for tomorrow but I just don't feel pg. It feels selfish to think like this with some on this thread that don't have any children at all, sorry don't want to upset anyone just feel a bit sad thats all.

Kate really sorry the old witch flew in. Must be especially hard for you.

Ginger completely understand, every time I take dd to a group it is always full of pregnant Mummies which made me feel . I dont think anyone on this thread begrudges those of us that already have lo's, we just have to wish especially hard for the ones that don't yet.

I know Kate some months you feel like you just must have bd'd at the right time & yet it doesn't happen. Makes you wonder how all these bloody 13 & 14 year olds manage to get pregnant without even trying. Had you been using opk's? I found that the only way for me was to do as much as I possibly could i.e. temping, drinking grapefruit juice, using opk's & using pre-seed. I knew then that there wasn't anything else I could have possibly done.

Kate I'm so so sorry. Feel v sad for you too, it felt like this month should have been a super lucky one!

ginger, have to agree with MLS, of course we don't begrudge those who already have LOs! MC is horrible whatever walk of life you are in, and you still have a right to feel sad seeing pg people! Hope today picks up for you.

Iggy, to be honest I am amazed at how well girls on MN know their cycles cos in RL I've never met anyone who knows their cycle (apart from my friends who also practise NFP obviously) I think once people are ttc they pay attention, but never need to before that. My non-NFP friends are always amazed when I tell them about only being fertile a couple of days a month, and the signs your body gives you like EWCM, temperature etc..
And as for the list thing, it's only cos I'm a pedant and always want it to be right

mls me and dh have 2 names we like at the moment, 1 Scottish the other not, but it'll probably all change again!

Went to Tesco today and was able to change £10 of clubcard vouchers into £20 to spend in the baby section, the only thing it excludes is formula, so I got some bottles, incase I can't breast feed, and some nappies. Just thought the other bigpanters would like to know, it's a good offer.

Awwwww MrsKate life is shit sometimes. Men don't realise that we just can't help the way we feel & that sometimes because we want something so much we convince ourselves that we can make it happen. I don't think any of us can try to not put everything into getting pregnant again because its all we want & all we think about. Its impossible to not get carried away with that dream when it's something you want so badly.

If you want my advise (& you might not!!) try not to let him see how badly this affects you, that is what we are here for. Men get scared by our desire to have a baby & our frustrations when it doesn't happen. They seem to think we can just shrug & carry on (like they do) when af starts. If they really knew the extent of what is going on in our heads they would be petrified!

Commiserations MrsKate I had one cycle last year when I was utterly convinced I was PG - nausea, dizziness, the works - then AF arrived and it is like a massive punch in the stomach - I felt embarrassed and annoyed with myself for having built up my own expectations.

A honeymoon baby would have been very appropriate, so I'm sure the expectations were higher. All you can do now is concentrate on the positives - ie another month to enjoy married life as a couple, rather than parents to be

You KNOW it will happen - just requires more patience than any of us really want to allow for. I also second what MLS said about trying not to let him know how much this upsets you - cry and rant at us instead then allow yourself a big glass of wine or two and start marking up the calendar and planning your seduction techniques

Cupcake you are right - I've learnt alot from MN cos everyone on here knows so much
