Hurrah for the symptom spotters!You lot make me feel much better. I still have no temeperature rise so no idea what's going on with my body. Going to keep on doing the opks for a few more days because i clearly have money to burn!
MY mum was staying at our house last night as my SG exam marking arrives today and someone needs to be there for it. DD went to waken her unbeknown to me clutching one of my Superdrug opks with ovulation test emblazoned across it No secrets in our house!

Temperature quite embarassing since I'm an English teacher!

Morning just dashing in quickly before I knuckle on with work - Very much relate to Neeko MLS Gracie and littlebell would of also been about 23/4 weeks now & 2 friends with close edds are happily having their 20w scans..
Anyway I am most def ov, very very painfully! Am glad the rest of you mentioned the sharp pain, almost like you can feel the egg coming out the follicle, like a plaster coming off slowly Ouch! (pain emotif) Last night we were just about to put sausages in the oven (honestly no pun intended!) and a cuddle in the kitchen turned into a quickie! Obviously I then got out of cooking as had to go lay on the sofa with legs up to 'marinate', as we call it! So that was twice yesterday and lots all week so one more sesh tonight & hopefully that will seal the deal! God it feels a bit wierd sharing all this! Just had visions of eventually telling grown up child how we discussed every detail of its conception with several people Iv never even met! Of course will have to tell it why its got an Emmsys graduate vest on in loads of baby photos (tho my name is actually Emma! Iv outed myself before on here like barbie!) Anyway waffle waffle, Im way way way ahead of myself here but never normally dare let myself get past the idea of being 12 weeks so am feeling brave and 4everhopeful this morning!

4Ever - my first ov after the Nov MC was the most painful I've ever experienced and lasted around 14 hours, so I sympathise

Mermaid I couldn't sleep last night either, last looked at the clock at 4am except my appetite has completely gone for past few days( I forgot to eat after 12 noon yesterday and still not hungry now), and thats definately not a symptom! You made me laugh about Scorpio's EDD, brilliant way to get out of cooking Christmas dinner!

4ever I think the being conceived whilst your mum was trying to cook sausages story will do well to embarrass your child on their 18th birthday!

Well, we have a functioning new bath and basin, the tiling has started, flooring arrived this morning and the wall is covered in matchpots because we can't make up our minds on colours !!

Am still showering at the gym and it doesn't look like our shower will be put in till next week - feels like its been ages but will be worth it in the end.

I need to CLEAN this weekend - hopefully the dirty bit of the work has now finished and I can get on with clearing up the dust that has settled thickly on every single flat surface in the house

I have spots of colour on the bathroom wall too, all blues but they look cold and not all nice and tropical like I was hoping. am crap at colour.

oh sympathise with Jools and Mermaids lack of kitchen and bathroom! Id be pulling my hair out with all the dust! We're painting the hall on sat, much less daunting, but getting windows replaced in next couple of weeks which Im dreading

Mermaid - we have an all white suite, black marble effect worktop on the new vanity unit, big white tiles with grey marbling and a black inset on some of them ..

I'd thought I wanted a colour on the walls to break up the black and white theme - tried a very pale blue but didn't like it much. Tried a bluey grey - not bright enough, so I think we're going to end up with "Jasmine White" and just have colourful towels and stuff Bathroom is teeny

My sympathies to jools and mermaid all that dust and mess! I'm putting off doing my bathroom for a bit, still recovering from doing kitchen end of last year.

4ever poor you, I've never had ovulation pains that bad.

Mermaid definately not on a diet and never have been, but I have gone from a size 16 to a size 8 over past year. Probably should make an appointment to see my GP but not really sure what to tell them, I changed GP's when I was pregnant and they weren't very sympathetic with my miscarriage so not expecting them to be much use.

And as for me - I'm like Jools avoiding testing as long as possible as then it's a shorter wait to the scan or if I'm not AF arrives and I've saved money on the test.

Also got a job interview for a new job - same company but would be a promotion and so would feel a bit guilty if I knew I was pregnant when I went in!

Sorry for not responding to all your news but I'm just sneaking on to say I've just had a + opk! DH back about 3.30 tomorrow. Will that still be time enough?

jools yes I think you may be right. We have dark slate floor tiles, big white wall tiles with little insets in aqua, turquiose sporadically, ie my dh kept forgetting to use them! I think I am falling back on the whites and going for accent colours too. plus you can just about swing half a cat in there!

neeko I just bought some opks and I am now a self-professed opkgeek - I can't wait till my first go tomorrow!! Anyways, according to my instructions when u get the strong line, then the best time to do it is between 24 and 48 hours later So perfect timing!!!
