Hold on, here we go again!

Hum,
Buzz,
Click click
Hum

Monitor blinks, glows
Processor thrums happily

Fingers fly across the keyboard
"Hi how are you?"
"I'm fine been waiting for you"
Smile spreads wide across my face

Her words appear slowly
Full of humor and warmth
A cyber smile, a virtual laugh
Silent yet I hear

Realizing it's time to go,
a somatic sensation warms me

"I hope to chat again soon"
"Till then good bye"

Click click
Buzz
Silence

I found this and thought of us!......

jools we were on the same antenatal thread for June, I have been thinking about it recently, and you, but didn't want to bring it up, so I'm glad you've mentioned it. My edd was the 6th I think.

Joolsiam · 13/05/2009 11:47

I remember you from there Vjay

I was on the May thread too and had been on there for 8 weeks, so made some friends and still look out for them. Babies dropping everywhere on that thread now - the birth stories ALWAYS make me cry

cupcakefairy · 13/05/2009 12:18

Jools my libido is non-existent if I'm not fertile too (well, at least dh has to work very hard to find it!!) It's the same for all women.
I'm a french speaker too btw we lived there for a few years when we were kids. It's a bit rusty now but I know given the chance it'd all come back.

bluesatinsash · 13/05/2009 13:17

Afternoon All,

Yay! cupcake that AF has finally turned up and you can get cracking .

Vjay - tis glorious here too in ol' central Scotland (for once).

Jools and Vjay Its so having your EDDs round the corner with all the what might have beens. We just hope our eventual lo's lessen the pain of the lost ones..

MLS there are some fabulous Scottish words out there - 'crabbit' is another one (meaning grumpy and irritable) - can be applied to me a bit too often . Love the up to date piccie of you and your DD. She is gorgeous and I love your scarf - tres artistic!

sabs - great to hear scan went well and your flavour remains a secret - how exciting not knowing. I was so sure DS was a boy that I even ordered blue gingham baskets the week before he was born and ta da! he was of the blue variety .

I went to bed a 8pm last night armed with my 'managing morning sickness' book and ice cold water. Reading it comforted me as there are some poor souls out there who are hospitalised with it and have it the whole duration. (Mermaid thanks for the tips re: sea bands, I haven't tried them so far). Feel better today as have massive sleep but have to eat every hour. So far today I've had:

1 x weetbix
1 x toasted bagel with slightly salted butter
3 x mini mars bars
1 x mini milky way
2 x home made potato scones
1 x smoked gammon roll..

..and its barely lunch time . Its the only thing that keeps the ms at bay.

Oh well, lunch over back to the coal face.

x

4everhopeful · 13/05/2009 14:14

Hey there - just a quickie - Iv been feeling really warm, muggy sticky sort of feeling, never temp'd before but does that sound to you like OV is about to happen? Your temp rises right?

GracieGirl · 13/05/2009 14:15

CupCakeFairy See I knew scaring your AF into appearing by threatening it with us lot in a Barbie-Mobile would work!! Welcome to the madness of TTC again, spending far to much money on ovulation kits, BDing on all the wrong days and torturing yourself by doing pregnancy tests far too early! All good fun!
Well done for updating the list, I think Babyinacorner popped back a few days ago and said where she was in her cycle, though we've not heard from littlebellsmum or bakingqueen in a while. You you still lurking???

Mermaid my DH has never played golf in his life, he's a few years off that luxury! I'm hoping by the time he gets to that point I'll have brainwashed him into using his days off to come home and play with his kids! (which we'll have plenty of by then! ) I've already talked him out of doing any private practice work, I think 56 hours a week of work plus all the times he doesn't finish on time is plenty without doing extra private stuff in his holidays, evenings and weekends.

Sabs Its lovely that you're not finding out whether your baby is a boy or girl, I'm not sure I'd have that will power.

Blue dry crackers and rich tea biscuits worked (sometimes) for me last time. Though my friend swears by ginger tea (which tastes foul!)

Thanks 4Ever, Neeko, mermaid, cupcake, sabs, mls, vjay for your supportive messages re: my long distance husband. Barbie do you think the Barbie-mobile would work for scaring the anaesthetic office into allocating my DH a bit closer???

bakingqueen · 13/05/2009 14:42

Hello everyone sorry been missing for a while my computer died and so been in mumsnet exile until I picked it up this morning! Not had chance to catch up on all I have missed yet so will try and post later but I apologise in advance if I miss anyone as struggle to catch up after 1 day let alone as many as missed. May dissapear next week however as moving house and need to organise getting internet reconnected in new house although at minute struggling to get a land line connected by the time we move in stupid bt! Am on day 13 at the min opk -ve so far so anyday now hopefully speak soon love to you all xx

bluesatinsash · 13/05/2009 14:43

Gracie - apologies I forgot to say well done to your DH earlier - one step closer to consultantville!

I used to do job planning for consultants in my previous job and its all about keeping them at 40 hours per week to adhere to WTD so hopefully your silver lining is just round the corner in that he earns the big bucks but for less hours .

Thanks for ms tips, I tried ginger tea last time but hated taste and tea biscuits too bland for me just now

4ever - not sure re: temp as I always just go on OPKs but I'm sure one of our temping experts (cupcake!) will be along soon.

Sorry 4ever- forgot to answer your q - yes your temp does rise when you ovulate and I usually do feel it as soon as I wake up that I'm warmer than usual... not sure about feeling it during the day I've never noticed myself but going by your cd I bet you are ovulating... go jump into bed now!

4everhopeful · 13/05/2009 16:02

Thanks cupcake! Finish work now & off to seduce DH! Did it this morning but hopefully enough stamina to get another sesh tonight & tomorrow night at least!

Neeko · 13/05/2009 20:15

Hi littlebellsmum glad to know you're ok. Hope your missing AF turns up soon or better still an htp gives you a bfp

cupcake hurrah for AF!

babyinacorner · 13/05/2009 20:41

thanks cupcake for updating me. Hi to everyone! xxx

Neeko · 13/05/2009 21:12

Hi Baby hope you're ok.

Bugger! Bugger! Bugger!
We lost our 1st battle in the war that is TTC this morning. We're both a bit as that's never happened before. Plenty of fight but no machine guns IYKWIM
Plus I still haven't had + on opk. In fact today was less clear than before. Anyone have any ideas?
Plus just got an email from Boots saying "congratulations. You're 20 weeks pg. Halfway there" and I want to cry and/or kick someone
Sorry for me, me, me but DH away and I need to moan.
Hope youy're all ok.

babyinacorner · 13/05/2009 21:24

Hi Neeko - I'm ok thanks, just really hoping that this month will be the month! It's so annoying to think that we got pregnant by accident last time (that ended in mc) and now it's taking military planning and i'm still nowhere! (rant rant rant!)

can sympathise on the boots email - i would have been around 20 weeks as well - it's very sad.

Hope you get a positive soon and you are able to get dh's guns into action!

Neeko · 13/05/2009 21:28

Thanks but DH is out of the country til Fri so not much chance

MummyLovesSadie · 13/05/2009 21:49

Hello my lovely fellow addicts

Neeko God how awful to get that email, I'm also dreading that type of email & junk mail through the post as I'm sure I signed up for stuff in January. As for your opk mystery, it sounds like we had exactly the same problem this month. I think you may have had a + but a very faint one (especially if you say the line is now lighter than before. This month my + was faint & I thought it would be darker the next day but it was lighter. You have been shagging like rabbits though so you have done everything you possibly could have done.

4ever hope you manage to grab dh tonight for some bd'ing.

Sorry for the short post tonight but I'm bushed. I'm NOT symptom spotting though, I did that last month when I felt all shiny, happy & full of hope because it was my first proper af since mc. This month I feel a bit flat & convinced it's not going to happen for me. Oh yeah & btw, I had docs appointment this morning for a check 'downstairs' re day 20/21 bleeding but she only had a quick peek (armed with torch & salad server type instrument) & said I had a slight cervical erosion which apparently is nothing to worry about. She didn't want to 'delve any deeper' at this appointment just in case I might be pregnant.

Hi to everyone else & hope to email you in more detail tomorrow.

GracieGirl · 13/05/2009 22:23

Evening all!

Neeko big hug - I got the very same "your 24 weeks pregnant" email from boots today. Its really hard to track down all the places who found out you were pregnant and the junk mail is a nightmare. I've been good and not opened it.
Blimey! littlebellsmum, Bakingqueen and babyinacorner all reappeared this afternoon. Hello! don't stay away too much!

Scorpio 3 EDDs! So which one are you going with then?

MLS - salad server type instrument! Sorry just made me laugh!

blue just 40 hours a week for my DH would be lovely.

littlebellsmum · 13/05/2009 23:26

Quick second post - Gracie would we really have been 24 weeks pregnant now?
Neeko - just want you don't need with DH away

Update on not symptom spotting - not feeling great tonight, bit off and funny taste in my mouth ( lik I've just drowned in tea). But just done the wine test and whilst it's given me a bit of acid, it went down quite nicely. That isn't normal for me when I'm pregnant but then I'm normally pretty regular...

GracieGirl · 14/05/2009 00:10

littlebellsmum have you done a test?? Yes 24 weeks, it feels weird thinking about it, I almost feel like I imagined the whole thing, hardly anyone mentions it in real life now.

Just had a weird thought... not sure if any of you can remember weeks ago I posted about going to see a psychic who said some pretty accurate things about my life. Anyway with DH being away for whole fertile period this month I sneaked a look at our rotas for next month and if all goes as predicted with my cycle my DH will be home in the evenings of days 15 and 16 and all day on 17 and 18. Also my shift pattern is about similar. My ovulation day is usually day 17 so looking pretty good! Any how going back to the psychic woman, she freaked me out by greeting me with the comment "you've only come to find out about your baby". Which was completely true as my friend had talked me into it. She followed that comment by telling me not to worry as my baby would come soon and that my father's father was looking after it. I had ignored the grandfather comment as I'd never been particularly close to him. But have just noticed that next month I'll ovulate on Father's day!

barbie1 · 14/05/2009 05:14

hello everyone, been lurking but sadly no time to post much, nearly over my 2 week training period and today i have a meeting with the spa owner not sure what for as that normally doesnt happen until week 4....so either im going to get the sack or something else

Hopefully i will get my own spa within the next 2 weeks and will sort out the rotas and have a normal routine and my mn obsession will continue!

jools due dates are crap, i think i handled mine pretty badly but be prepared and arm yourself with wine, chocolate, films and any other thing to take you through the day, a dark room will help as well so you can cry and sleep your way through it, big hugs xxx

gg i will email you on sat, my day off with all the details, thanks again!

littlebellsmum test test test!!!!

Well off to the dreaded meeting will update more later, hope you have a good day xxx
